There's a reason why I don't talk much, you know. Nine out of ten instances, I would come off as an arrogant the moment I start to open my mouth. Not that I'm denying it. I can be arrogant and I can be such an at times, but there's a reason why that is so. It's because I don't like you. No, seriously. It's because I'm really shy. Yeah, that's it. Whatever, actually. Anyway, I don't really care. I'm Shim Changmin and I wasn't born to give a damn at anything in general.

Until she came and messed everything up...

Basically, it started with this letter.

Chimp Changmin,

The moment you receive this letter, I'm probably miles away from the streets of Seoul. I'm going to Japan to join the industry. lol jk, I'm going to Japan because I got accepted for a post-graduate degree into an exclusive fine arts school. Yay!

Anyway, do you know what they say about airport regulations and the standard baggage weight allowance? See, I'm writing you this because I don't want to be told off in case the weighing scale beeps off noisily with this 'baggage' that I'm carrying. And maybe because I'm now going at a distance faaaar, far from you, I guess it is now safe to tell you this:

I like you.

Yes, I'm now another number added to your endless list of fans. You shouldn't be surprised since you're pretty much popular in our university. You're smart, witty, tall, and cute. You also seem really nice since you always smile whenever we see each other on the hallway. To be honest, it is these attributes that made me like you. You are the kind of person that I won't be ashamed of displaying in front of my friends.

We sorta knew each other for a few years now but I've only noticed you (in a crushing kind of way) during the final semester of our senior year. It faded away, like it would on any ordinary crush, a few weeks before exams but it resurfaced again during the last term. And quite stronger than the previous attraction, I say. I guess it's because we've finally had interactions and I was able to know you more than the tall, popular guy who happened to be that doink Junsu's classmate.

And granting that I've already spilled my secret, I guess I should say it all anyway. Do you remember that announcement over the university fields during our intramurals? The one from "the lady in black". Uh, yes that was me. :D That was really random and because it's our last year, I said why not give it a try? I've also written a poem and at least three blogposts about you already so to say that it's just a small crush might be an understatement. xD

I'm writing this not to ask any answer from you. I just want to let you know. And maybe an attempt for me to get over my fear of telling my feelings to someone. You are such a lucky boy. Haha. I guess I am really brave in saying these things because it's in a letter (and I can't see your reaction). Had it been personal, I will not be able to say anything at all. Also, it might be because I know that we might never see each other again. I feel at ease now that I've said this, I AM NOW FREE OF ALL INHIBITIONS! YOU ARE NOW THE ONE CONCERNED! HAHAHA!
