P r o l o g u e

Everybody loved G-Dragon. The hot, gorgeous singer. The brilliant composer. The musical prodigy. But, yes, loved. Past tense. That was four months before he was dumped by his model girlfriend—the very event which set off his alcoholic tendencies to spark like fireworks on New Year’s Eve. And then next thing everybody knew, he’s in bars left and right every single night, drunk, picking up fights with random people. Or sometimes bawling. In front of paparazzis.

Did you know there’s a video caught of him having a verbal tiff with, get this, a lamp post. He was yelling the F word more than Chef Ramsey would in Kitchen Nightmares to a…a non-living entity. It was disturbing yet ridiculously hilarious at the same time almost everybody from all over the world feasted on that video. No wonder it made #15 Most Watched Of All Time in Youtube.

Needless to say, now, everybody hates him. Not even the massive damage control his agency, YG Entertainment, would salvage what’s left of respect and faith his fans had for him. He destroyed himself—all because he had his heart broken. And as though he has no interest whatsoever in fixing himself up quickly, they eventually dropped him off from the company.

With no songs to sing, no albums to make, no commercials and pictorials to shoot, and certainly no stage—grand or simple—to grace, he’s officially jobless. Although not penniless. I guess, not yet. But then I strongly believe that wouldn’t be far from happening if he continues wasting his millions of money in bars and clubs. Because if that actually keeps up, then there’s more or less 90% probability that everyone might see him in the next few months in a filthy alley, clad in disheveled clothing and reeking of cat poo. (Ew, if I may.)

So I stood in front of his house with everything above running in my head, encouraging the very reason why I was here for in the first place. I was going to give G-Dragon, real name Kwon Jiyong, the chance that he needed.

And he will take it, by hook or by crook.
