Nichkhun had been searching for a new place to go after work. He used to visit a nice coffee shop at the corner across from his building, but overnight it closed up, leaving him with a sense of emptiness. The ambience of the place was great, and the coffee was good. He knew how to brew coffee on his own… but from time to time he just wanted to go outside, change scenarios, and it helped him clear his mind when he was stressed. So, he needed to find a new place quickly.

What he didn't expect, though, was to find something or someone that caught his attention instantly.

"Hey! Buddy!! Are you there?" Called his best friend, but Nichkhun was so immersed thinking how their waiter had the most beautiful and bright smile he had ever seen, he didn't register the meaning of his words, or rather the words themselves.

"Uh-huh..." He answered absentmindedly.

"Uh-huh? Khun!! Nichkhun!!" The other repeated loudly until finally he reacted.

"Sorry Taec! I was…" Nichkhun stopped midways as soon as he saw his best friend raise his eyebrows accusingly.

"You were?" Taecyeon repeated his words, stretching the last one while bending his head slightly forward and resting his elbow on the table, expecting him to continue. Instead, Nichkhun smiled, exasperated, and his overall expression conveyed a clear Are you kidding me?.

"C'mon man! You have been looking at that cutie over there since we arrived!!!" His best friend said loudly, not caring about the fact that said cutie was probably in range of hearing their conversation.

“! Just shut up, Ok Taecyeon! He will hear you!!” He cursed in a low tone and tried to silence the other, but Taecyeon would not let him live it down soon.

"Oh, for God's sake, Nichkhun! You couldn't be more obvious than that, buddy!" The taller man kept on teasing him and playfully shoved his shoulder. Nichkhun gave up and fell back to his chair while making sure the boy wasn’t looking in their direction.

“See that!! You keep looking at him... Stop it, man! He’ll think you’re creepy!!” Said the taller man, still with a big grin on his face.

Nichkhun regretted bringing his friend with him that day and slapped himself internally before unconsciously pressing his finger just above his lips while looking away from his friend. But said friend had a point. He had to stop looking at the waiter or he’ll be just a creep.

He tried to come back and concentrate on their previous conversation, all the while looking at very smug Taecyeon.
