The door crack open with a familiar figure behind. I blink a few times, thinking I must be dreaming. Because usually there’s where I’ll meet him.

His lips slowly curve, showing me his forever signature smile. I shake my head this time, still thinking that this might be still a dream.

Slowly he walks towards me, making my heart beats twice as fast. No, this can’t be real. I tell myself.

“Baby, what’s wrong?” Oh how I miss this beautiful voice.

I refuse to answer. Instead I got up and leave.

“Where are you going?” He took my arm into his. Away from you.

“Anywhere but here.” I shake off his arm.

“Baby, I miss you so much.” My lips tremble and my legs start to fail me. I wasn’t going to let this get me. No, not this time. I’ve cried too many times that I have already lost count.

“Baby, are you still mad at me?” He tugs my sleeve. I simply shook my head.

“Why aren’t you looking at me?” Because if I do, I’m afraid I’ll lose it again.

“Kyungie.” He holds my hand and lightly squeeze it. Please don’t do this to me.

“I can’t.” I whisper.

“Why?” I didn’t want to answer him.

“Kyungie… Look at me.” A droplet of tears rolls down to my cheek.

“You lied. You say you’ll never leave me.” I cover my face with both of my hands as I let myself cry again.

“Baby, I’m here. I will never leave you.” He grab both of my hands and pull them away, showing me his signature smile yet again.

“I love you, babo-ah.” He wipes my tears away. Hearing those three words made my heart melts like an ice cream.

“Don’t ever leave me again.” I hold on to his arms, not wanting to lose him ever again.

“I won’t, I promise you.” He gave me a peck on my forehead.

“I love you too, Jongin-ah.” He smile while a shade of pink appears on my cheek.

“I’ll get you water.” He walks away almost too quickly before I could even reply no.

“Jong— .” I turn around and lost the sight of him. In just a few seconds, he couldn’t have made it to the kitchen that fast.

Then I made my way to the kitchen and found no one but me.

Of course, I should have known.
