“The Prince I would choose for the throne and son-in-law is…….. Lee Yunkyo.” The Kim family leader said with a smile. Prince Yunkyo showed no expression on his face but Prince Seunghyun was definitely angry with the decision of the Kim family leader

“You may also show now the scroll with the decision of the Queen Dowager.” The wife of the Kim family leader said

“Yes your highness.” The royal adviser replied as he cleared his throat

“The one chosen by her highness, Queen Dowager, as the heir to the throne is Prince Lee Yunkyo.” The royal adviser said as he presented the scroll that has Yunkyo’s name written on it. Prince Seunghyun was enraged as he heard that.

“You shall now be called Crown Prince Lee Yunkyo officially and you should have a change of your garments into more royal attire with gold on its cloth.” The Kim family leader stated

“I’m honored your highness.” Prince Yunkyo said as he bowed. The Kim family leader’s wife saw the look on Prince Seunghyun’s face and spoke up.

“You may not have been chosen by us and by Queen Dowager but you may become a high official instead. You shouldn’t frown but be proud of your cousin.” She said

“You are both dismissed.” The Kim family leader said. The two princes then bowed and left the quarters

“Congratulations cousin.” Prince Seunghyun said with a frown and walked away

“Cousin…..” Crown Prince Yunkyo said but stopped as his cousin left him. Kyuhyun suddenly appeared and went near the prince.

“Your highness, Have you been chosen?”

“Yes Kyuhyun-ah.” Prince Yunkyo said with a grin

“Congratulations your highness!” Kyuhyun said as he clapped

“Thank you Kyuhyun-ah.” Prince Yunkyo said as he saw two girls with cloaks covering their heads. He knew that it was the Crown Princess and her servant, Sungmin, since she took a glance at him. Princess Jaeyoung saw that Prince Yunkyo looked at them so she hid her face and blushed. Prince Yunkyo grinned to see the Crown Princess getting shy.

“Follow me Kyuhyun-ah.” Prince Yunkyo said as he followed the direction where the Princess was going

“Yes your highness. Oh! It’s the Crown Princess.” Kyuhyun said as he followed the Crown Prince

“That’s wonderful!” Jaeyoung said as she petted a little rabbit that was bouncing around near the garden they were in

“What’s wonderful?” Prince Yunkyo said as he suddenly appeared in the garden with his royal adviser

Princess Jaeyoung and her servant stood up and bowed to the Crown Prince.

“Kyuhyun-ah, can you take along the Crown Princess’s servant with you so we could be alone here?” Prince Yunkyo asked his adviser

“As you wish your highness. Sungmin-shii, come along.” Kyuhyun said feeling a little uneasy with Sungmin

“I’ll be leaving you now your highness.” Sungmin said as she bowed to the Crown Princess. Jaeyoung nodded and watched her servant bow to the Prince and leave

Only Crown Princess Jaeyoung and Crown Prince Yunkyo were left in the garden.

“Aren’t you going to congratulate me Crown Princess?” Prince Yunkyo said as he came close and sat beside the Princess who was petting a rabbit

“Congratulations Crown Prince Lee Yunkyo.” Princess Jaeyoung said as she smiled to him

“Thank you.”

“Shouldn’t you be changing your garments right now? Being the Crown Prince, you should wear the official garment.” Jaeyoung said as she held the rabbit in her arms

“Why aren’t you wearing your official garments? Weren’t you Crown Princess from the start?”

“I promised myself that I would change my clothes when my Crown Prince changes his.”

“Would it make you happy if I would change my clothes tomorrow?”

“Yes my Crown Prince.” Jaeyoung said as she blushed

“You should continue your studies.”

“Aren’t you angry because of that secret of mine?”

“Why should I? If you get knowledge from those books, then I’ll become confident to rule this country with an intelligent queen.” Prince Yunkyo said as he also petted the rabbit Princess Jaeyoung was playing with

“Thank you Crown Prince.” Jaeyoung said as she let the Crown Prince hold the rabbit

“I-I…….Can I?”

“Can you what?” Jaeyoung asked

The Crown Prince sighed and let the rabbit play around the garden again. He then held the Princess’s hand. The Princess looked at Yunkyo and smiled.

“O-of course you can.” The Princess said as she held onto the Prince’s hand

“But I-“ Yunkyo didn’t finish his sentence since the Crown Princess kissed his lips. It was only a gentle kiss and she pulled back.

“I’m sorry my Crown Prince.” Jaeyoung said with her head bowed. Prince Yunkyo lifted her chin and captured her lips this time. He kissed her as if she were fragile like porcelain. They only shared a gentle kiss which was so lovely. Hidden behind a tree, Prince Seunghyun was watching them with anger and envy of Prince Yunkyo.
