“Your highness! I was so worried! Where have you been?” Sungmin, the one in charge of taking care of the princess came near

“I’m fine Sungmin-ah. I just went to see the cherry blossoms again.” Jaeyoung said as she smiled to her loyal servant

“Oh…..Crown Prince Yunkyo….” Sungmin said as she bowed to the prince

“Your highness! Crown Prince! Your father called for you.” Kyuhyun, his royal adviser came in such a hurry

“I’ll meet you again next time my Crown Princess.” Yunkyo said as he bowed to the beauty. Jaeyoung bowed back and went along with her servant Sungmin

“Why has father called for me?” The Prince asked his adviser

“It’s about Prince Lee Seunghyun who also wants the throne. He wants to compete with you.”

“Didn’t Queen Dowager say that I am fit for the throne if my father passes it on? I’m the one who will be wed to the Crown Princess and she will be my queen when I rule.”

“Your highness, competition can come. Lee Seunghyun may also want the throne since he is your cousin. Your father may be the king now but it is possible for him to steal the crown from you if you don’t act quickly.”

“How can he steal it from me?” Yunkyo asked

“He can by taking the Crown Princess away from you and proving that he is worthy of the position.” Kyuhyun answered

The Prince clenched his fists when they were near the Queen Dowager’s quarters. Yunkyo entered the room and gave his respect by bowing upon his entrance.

“My son is finally here Queen Dowager.” The king said as he sat near the Queen. The Queen then smiled when she saw the prince. Yunkyo turned to the other side of the room and saw his cousin with a cold stare at him.

“I see you’ve been well Crown Prince Yunkyo. I heard about your accomplishments from your father. Your cousin has also performed well too. Haven’t you Seunghyun-ah?” The Queen turned to the other Prince

“Yes I have your highness. I was always one of the best students in my class.” Seunghyun smiled

“Were you the top student in your class?” the Queen asked

“A-aniyo.”

“My son was the top student in class.” The king said as he smiled to his son

“Yes I was but I don’t want to boast about it.” Yunkyo said

“You have such a humble boy Throne king.” The Queen Dowager said as she smiled to Yunkyo. Seunghyun felt envious of his cousin since he was praised again.

“I would want my son to marry the Crown Princess. He is one of the choices of the Kim family.” The Throne king said

“He looks suitable but his competition is his cousin over here.” The Queen Dowager then looked at Seunghyun and it made him smirk

“I would love to compete with my cousin for the throne Queen Dowager.” Seunghyun said proudly

“That would depend on who could be chosen by the Kim family. It would be a battle of wits.” The Queen Dowager said

“The leader of the Kim family shall decide with his wife as both of you pay a visit to them. They will ask a question which both of you will have to answer.” The Throne king said

“This is interesting since the throne can just be easily given to Prince Yunkyo but this can be for both of you since you are cousins who may lead the Lee family.”

“Wouldn’t it depend on your choice too Queen Dowager? If you would pick between my cousin and I; who is fit for the throne?” Prince Seunghyun asked

“Based on what I have observed from both of you and what I have heard from your professors, I have picked whom I wanted for the throne between both of you.”

“You have your highness?” Prince Yunkyo asked

“Yes I have. I shall have my royal adviser present the scroll with the name of the chosen Prince. People may have been calling you the Crown Prince but you shouldn’t since you have our competitor now. That is fair between you and your cousin.” The Queen Dowager said

“Yes Queen Dowager.” The Prince Yunkyo replied

At the end of that meeting, Prince Yunkyo was walking out with his father.

“I may have to talk about this with your mother in my throne room. I hope you do your best my son. I really wish I could give you the throne without any objections but this had to be the fair decision of the Queen Dowager.” The Throne king said as he put his hand on the shoulder of his son

“I will do my best Abeonim.” Prince Yunkyo said to his father as he bowed. While Prince Yunkyo walked on his own, Prince Seunghyun started a conversation with him.

“Do you actually think you stand a chance against me cousin?” Seunghyun asked

“We will see tomorrow. Let’s do our best.” Yunkyo said as he smiled to his cousin

“I won’t allow you to beat me. If someone will become the heir to the throne, it should be me.” Seunghyun said as he glared at Yunkyo

“I don’t want to become your enemy cousin.”

“You are my competition therefore we are rivals.” Seunghyun said as he left Yunkyo

When Seunghyun was gone, Kyuhyun came near Prince Yunkyo.

“You should avoid him your highness. If someone would be chosen as Crown Prince and heir to the throne, I’m sure it’s you.” Kyuhyun said

“Thank you my royal adviser.” Yunkyo said as he went to his room thinking about the next day
