✾ Impassive
Longing For Your Love
Heat rushes into my cheeks as his dark brown eyes stare into mine. I stare back at them, my beating heart threatening to rip out of my chest.
His hand.
His hand is wrapped around my wrist.
And it doesn't hurt.
Not at all.
It actually feels...
Good.
It feels warm and alleviating.
Just like I expected it to be.
It feels as if time has frozen, and we stay in that position; his hand around my wrist, me in my crouching position, our eyes locked.
"Sorry about that," he suddenly says after a while, and pulls away. I search his eyes for something, anything, but they seem gray and impassive now.
"You just surprised me" he says again as he slowly stuffs the paper into his bag, and swings it over his shoulder.
He stands up, and I stand up too, afraid that he'll be leaving now.
I catch a glimpse of the clock, and somehow, it's already 3:43.
His eyes lock with mine again, but I am the first to look away this time as he says,
"Detention ends around this time... so we can go..."
He shrugs, expressionless, and heads toward the door of the classroom.
Somehow, I feel disappointed. I feel like there should've been more. Maybe just a little more would've been fine, but seeing his impassive expression makes me feel unwelcome. As always.
I trudge toward my desk to gather everything, feeling despondent that my time spent with him had not been longer.
"If only I had detention more often," I mutter, and head towards the door with my belongings.
I turn the corner and spot the back of someone's head.
Ah.
I smile to myself, and skip over.
"Hoya! Guess what, I-"
And stop.
Junhyung is looking at me with a weird look on his face. Kind of an irritated look, and at the same time a quizzical one too.
"Who's Hoya?" he asks, and heat rushes to my cheeks again. I shrug, staring at the ground which seems to look even prettier than yesterday.
He sounds a little frustrated too as he sighs.
"Want to go grocery shopping with me?"
