That night she stayed awake, lying in bed, thinking about him. Sora was unable to get her thoughts away from the subject of her love life. Still remembering the warm dark eyes every gorgeous men should have. A man like him was happy in his skin who manage to always looked relaxed no matter what situation he was in. The feelings still lingers there afterall this time. She forced and driven back repeatedly. He pushed her away and said mean words that still reverberated through her life of misery these past few years. It hadn't helped nor given her a reason to stop loving him. Even given a moment to realize he was the reason she abandon her dreams. In the silence that followed. She was aware of the time. It had just hit six in the morning. Pulling the covers off, Sora got up and walked out into the hall. Peeking into her daughters room, she took a moment to stare at the one reason she still have the will to move onward. The most precious gift the heavens had given her but also a presence of an innocent physical living being who will always be there to remind her of the sin they both had committed... *From kneeling to half bending over, as I picked her up. She was both lighter and heavier than I imagine. Forgetting she had already turned seven years old. Giving her a hug and kiss, I didn't have the will to release her from my protective shield just yet. After a moment I forced myself to let go and bid Asoo good luck on her first day of school. Watching her walk into class, I felt a feeling of absence as I stand here alone in the hallway. As the doorway closed to the classroom, I saw my own reflection through the window of the door... She saw the same reflection of herself that lacked confidence and many others flaws years ago. The face she tried to hide away from the world. And she had hid it well. Today it was hard not to worry. Something's gone wrong. Had she made the right decision to come back?... Nervously sitting out in the lobby, Sora waited for her name to be called. After what seemed like forever, she was called to the front desk. Given a card to pass through the security. Sora clipped it over the collar of her blouse. She stepped into the elevator and pressed a button to the floor she was asked to meet the office assistant which is on the last. As many people stepped in to share the elevator, Sora shyly stepped back to the far corner to shield herself preventing any eyes to look her way. Being the last to step out, she looked around for the main office. Passing office cubicles, she continued to walk deeper into the hall. Seeing how there was only one main open counter, Sora looked over to the lady behind it. The stranger then looked up and smiled to her. "Are you Ms. Kang?" She asked. "Yes, I am." Sora answered. "It says here on your application you had graduated from Stanford University. That is one of the best schools around. It's finally nice to have someone work beside me. It lessens my paperwork."
