The Pecking Order

-synopsis: St. Andrew's Academy: A run-down boys' school in southern Seoul with as a bad reputation as its test scores-if not worse. Often referred to as 'the cage' or 'the jailhouse' because of the confined environment and, kindly put, rowdy students, this is the last place a serious student would ever want to go to. The teachers have little or no authority, never have had if one was to believe the rumours that were flying around and about the school; the students have been left to govern themselves.
The way things are decided is simple; the strongest rile. It's a place where survival of the fittest is the most accurate phrase to describe the students' interactions and relations. People are expelled or drop out on a regular basis, but are soon replaced with new social outcasts, and so the cycle keeps repeating itself.
It's the beginning of the second term of the year, and two new transfer students are about to join the fray. As things have just amangaed to calm down after the first messy term of conflicts and conquers, what impact will these two have on the current hierarchy? And what will the present alphas think of the newcomers?
- I love this fic! I am really a huge fan of action type of fics with violence in it and this really fulfilled me. It's not like other fics that I've read with gangs just going around beating other nerds up because they feel like it or have been dragged into it and stuff. Each character has their own story and I love how each story interlaces with another. The fic is also quite mysterious leaving you curious especially on their past. It really leaves you wanting more with every update. She's not really the type to update all the time but it is totally owrth it I tell you. One thing I must mention is her characterization: LOVE IT. Her choice of characteristic for each and everyone in the story is very unique really. I mean at first I thought it would be the typical (e.g mysterious guy who does wushu but is actually just shy and is really cute in real life who abuses his power over aegyo) but she added her own twist to everyone so you just never know really.
Coffee and TV
-by: surgicalfocus
-Baekyeol
-synopsis: Baekhyun can't help feeling that his relationship iwth Chanyeol leaves a lot to be desired. Chanyeol suggest that they go on a hloiday together, and they end up learning more about each other than they ever thought possible.
- Okay first and foremost, I love this girl! Her stories are simply amazing. I've been following her since her first story A Song We Left Unsung. The way she writes is truly amazing that you can't help but be captivated straightaway. For this story coffee and tv, the foreword doesn't really seem all that amazing and is just simple but I think it's enough to keep that sense of mystery on the story and also doesn't give out too much. Honestly I'm the type of person who can easily guess what will happen next in the story (I'm not being cocky here or anything) but I just have that tendency to go "Such and such will happen next, I just know it" and am usually right so this story really blew me away in a way that it kinda went in the way I expected it but in a totally different stlye I guess is how I could describe it (?). I also love how this sotry really gets me thinking cause her characterisation is so realistic you know (well it is kinda based on a real story) and you just can't help but try to figure out what's going on with each character nad which way their relationship is going now. I think people who are into some drama, not too much angst and some fluff should go and read her fics. You guys can read her stories here
Of Band Geeks and Orch-Dorks (Choir is Overrated)
-by:xXshelleybloobellyXx
-exo
-synopsis: Suho has his eye on first chair while Luhan is there to have something to put on his college application. Yixing is the musical genius that convinced Kris that Band was an easy A,but really isn't worth it because Kris is constantly annoyed by the forever drummer Chanyeol. Chen is fascinated by the oboe, but is trying to over come the spit problem and it's not helping when Jongin is emptying his spit valve onto the band room floor. Kyungsoo is always adamently argueing with Tao that Choir is definitely is not overrated and he should join also because Kyungsoo caught Tao singing to himself. Baekhyun joined Choir only to get close to a girl, but deicided to stay after she graduated because he fell in love with singing. Xiumin is into cello and Sehun is only in Orchestra to get scholarships.
- I literally died laughing while reading this. I'm really into these exo club fics really cause they're so funny and so light opposed to some of the heavier fics I've read before. A nice change, you know? I absolutely love poor jongdae in this fic, it's os different from the usual trolling I get from reading other fics. And the character background in the end I think helps me cause I usually am the type of person to forget something along the way especially if I've left it off for quite some time so it really helps me in refreshing my memory and helps me in understanding the character I guess? I mean usually we're left to guess what's going on or simply just leave it be cause the author ignores this thinking that it has no relevance in the story. BUT.IT.DOES
Carpe Diem
-by: wookberry
-Kray, Baekyeol and hints of Kaisoo
-synopsis: Carpe Diem is the name of a book store owned by Bakehyun and Yixing. Chanyeol is a university who at first comes to the bookstore to buy books for his course, but ends up staying when mesmerised with Baekhyun. Kris is a businessman who ends up buying every book that Yixing recommends without the other even realising.
This is the story about how these four people find love, and in fact, seize the day.
- Fluff and lots of it is what awaits you once you click onto that first chapter. I find this fic such a light and easy read. It kinda helps me after reading so much angst and drama. If I were to be so honest this fic is not really the spontaneous type but really simple in a plain setting with your everyday average characters but I guess that's the fic's charm? And it's not just fluffy, mushy gushy it has some drama into it as well which kinda spices it up a bit. The tile is also very relevant to the whole story. I didn't really realize it at first but now that I look back at the story the title really does relate as to how each couple got together. The length also was perfect. The author ended it just right and didn't just drag it further which would have made it really boring. A great read really

A/N: So sorry for the late update ><. Hoenstly summer started weeks ago but I've been so busy lately and I was supposed to update this two days ago but a friend slept over...I'm such a bad author so sorry. P.S I know the format isn't grouped into a category like usual but that's because my placed my notebook which had at least 100 recommended fics which were already categorized into the attic and I just can't find it!!! *insert left eye twitching*. Anyway, to make it up to you guys I'd try to make a double update for today!!!!
P.P.S I know the format for the last two fics is awkward but bear with me for now please!
