A thick green laser fell from the sky. Waves of emerald cut the air in half. Hands reached high after the lights. Nails turned fruits and fingers became branches ripped from forests. They all screamed in a chant for their gods to reveal themselves. Stars morphed into comets that hovered above the crowd with each wave. Furious voices contorted into shadows.
