Have you ever ate with a shikshin before?

Well, it ain't fun.

She just keeps stealing your food.

Unless you have a reward after that...

I'm was just an ordinary kid in school.

I'm was petite, so people usually picked on me.

They mocked my height and called me a midget.

Well, not that I cared.

But one day, something interesting happened...

(Flashback)

"Hey, midget. Sorry I banged into ya, I couldn't see you." CL, the school's most popular kid said.

Some of her "rich" friends, Bom, Dara and Minzy, laughed.

But another kid came.

"YAH! Stop picking on her just cause she's small. The smallest people are good too!" a girl around CL's height exclaimed.

CL scoffed, "Yah. Who are you to talk to me? I'm Lee Chaerin, daughter of Lee Donghae! My dad can go after you anytime."

"Oh? Daughter of that famous lawyer? Well, I'm surprised. Why would such a great lawyer have such a spoilt daughter like you? Besides, there's no "law" saying that I can't get angry at you." she said cooly.

WOW. This girl sure is cool.

"You. Who are you?!" CL got angered.

"Me? I'm your worst nightmare. And now, self proclaimed as this..." she looked at me, "... kid's bodyguard."

"What the?" Minzy opened .

"Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll have to take this danshin away from the four of you... idiots." she dragged me away.

From far, I could see a furious CL and a laughing Bom.

"I don't think you should call them idiots..."

"Tch, you should be happy I saved your there."

"I don't care about them insulting me. Though, I was getting tired of it. So, thank you. Do you want me to treat you to lunch... uhh... I'm sorry, I didn't get your name."

"Sooyoung. Choi Sooyoung. Of course I would love to get a treat for lunch. Wow. My first day here and I got into a fight with some 4 rich brats and get treated? Awesome."

"Oh, okay, Sooyoung. I'm Sunny.. Lee."

"Bunny?"

"Sunny."

"Ah... Sun-ie."

"No, Sun-ny."

"That's what I said, Sun-ie. Aish, forget it, the only english word I know how to pronounce properly is bunny. So I'll call you that. Sounds the same anyway. Sun-ie, bunny."

"Okay... soo.. what do you want to eat?"

"FOOD!"

"Huh? Of course we're eating food. What kind of food?"

"WESTERN?"

"Okay..."

(Flashback end)

And that's how we met.

It's so weird, cause all she did was steal my food.

Instead of getting angry, I actually thought it was cute.

Cute for her to be stealing my food and laughing after eating it.

Yet she knows when to bother me and when not to.

I had a boyfriend.

Yoseob.

I broke up with him because I wasn't sure anymore...

Ever since Sooyoung came along, I seemed to spend less time with Yoseob.

And because of that, I seemed to not love him as much.

Now, Sooyoung is my best friend and we live together.

We go to work together...

And I don't know why...

But....

I'm...

Falling deeply in love with her.

I know that I don't stand a chance.

She's tall, pretty, smart and everything a boy would want.

While I'm short, not so pretty, not so smart and small sized. 

She has a tall, handsome, dashing and smart boyfriend.

Who would she choose?

The tall, handsome and dashing guy of course.

Recently, I was promoted to CEO.

So I was a level higher than her.

Her boyfriend is the next-in-line boss of the company.

I had my own office.

She only had a cubicle.

She came into my office often, taking food from my personal fridge and constantly whining about the amount of work she has.

I'd be a good girl and listen to her whining, though I knew I couldn't possibly cut down the work.

So instead, I'd give a tad bit more work to Taeyeon and Tiffany, both of them being the same rank as Sooyoung and my two best friends.

I told Taeyeon, a fellow danshin about my feelings for Sooyoung...

I told her not to tell anyone else.

But since she's with Tiffany, I'm sure she'll tell Tiffany.

I don't really care anyway. Since she's also my best friend.

One thing that I hate about Sooyoung though.

When she's eating, only food is in her world.

No people.

No animals.

No anything.

She really is a shikshin.

But I love her.

Many people do.

Unknowingly, she has way too much admirers in the office.

Those admirers who totally outgrew me.

We still spend a lot of time together, luckily for me.

But of course her Changmin is more important right?

The door opened, Sooyoung coming in.

She was wearing a smile on her face, but I knew better.

"Is everything okay?" I asked her.

"Huh? Yeah..."

"Seriously, I told you you can't lie to me. Your shifty eyes tell me that it's not okay."

"We... broke up..."

"What? Why? When? How?"

"We just broke up because his dad... his dad didn't allow him to date someone lower class than them."

"UGH. Idiotic father. Anyway, it's okay. I never liked him. You deserve so much better."

"Thanks, Soonkyu."

"No problemo. Always there fer ya, shikshin."

She laughed, "Heard from Taengoo that you have a crush on a girl huh?"

"WHAT?! That crazy midget told you?"

"Yeah... so... who's that girl? Do I know her?"

"EH? Uhh... uhh... I don't know..."

"YAH. You midget. We've been friends since high school."

"I just... can't tell you okay?" I quickly ran back to my room, but because of her long legs, she was faster than me and blocked the entrance of my room.

"Tell me. Or I'll take your DS."

"NOOOOOOOO. NOT MY DS!!!"

"Yeah. So tell me."

"Fine. I'll tell you. But only if you let me go in first."

Sooyoung was hesitant for a while but eventually let me in.

Before closing and locking the door, "I'll tell you tomorrow!" I told her.

And the next day, she was waiting outside my door.

I almost got a heartattack because of her.

"SOOO. Who is it you are crushing on?"

"Truthfully, you said the first syllable already."

"Seriously? Just tell me who it is! PWEASE?"

"Ugh... okay. It's a shikshin I know."

"AH! Im Yoona! But hey. She's younger than you." Sooyoung shook her head.

"UGH. No. Can you get any dumber? It's you for god's sake. Whoops..." I cursed myself 

"Me? Soonkyu... what are you...? Stop joking around..."

"Aww dang. You didn't fall for it? That's too sad."

"Huh? Oh yeah. Of course it's a joke... hah..." she laughed awkwardly.

It was then I knew: I can't love her.

"But do you really want to know who I'm crushing on? It's a guy."

"Sungmin?"

"No."

"Yoseob?"

I nodded.

"Oh... still him?"

"Yup."

"Oh well... hah..."

"I was just joking... I'm seriously crushing on you, shikshin." I confessed.

"NO NO NO NO NO. It's impossible, Sunny. It's just... I don't..."

"You don't feel the same way... I know... but..."

"No. I love you too. I dated Changmin because he asked me out... and I couldn't take the fact that I was in love with a girl."

"Oh... uhh... okay...?"

"Okay. It's settled. You're officially my girlfriend."

"WHAT?! You didn't even ask my out yet."

"Hmph. Fine. Lee Soonkyu, will you be my girlfriend?"

"Hmm... lemme see..."

"Come on... please?" 

"Okay."

"GREAT. Now... let's EAT!"

... and that's how I got into this situation... 5 months later.

Right now, I'm eating with my shikshin girlfriend.

"Hey... you're not eating that are you?" she just stole my piece of chicken.

"Yah. Shikshin!"

When I was scolding her, she took my salad, my mashed potato and my coleslaw.

"You seriously need to stop doing that."

"You'll have a prize later..." she grinned.

My face flushed, "Uhh... whatever. You still shouldn't do that."

When we got back home... we did something wild... which can't be explained...
