The Beginning
Dara Chronicles
A little girl is playing under a tree, oblivious to the other children playing in the park. A loud barking of a dog caught her attention and she looked up to see where it was coming from.
Her eyes widen when saw the dog and realized it is going straight at her.
She stood up and broke into a run. She glanced back to see if it was still following her and it is.
She’s already screaming with tears running down her face. She doesn’t even hear the boy shouting at her to stop and sit down.
Her little legs can only carry her that far and with tears blurring her vision, she didn’t notice the rock in the grass and she fell down.
“Magic, stop it.” The boy shouted. The dog stopped, wagged its tail and rolled over showing its belly.
“Are you okay?” he asked, kneeling beside her and helping her up. Even with the grass stains, tears mixed with dirt and mucus on her face, he knew she’s the prettiest girl he has ever seen.
“I’m sorry about my dog. She wasn’t really going to bite you. She just likes the color of your dress.” She continued sitting there with her hands rubbing her face, her cries going quieter. He looked at her knee and saw a cut that’s bleeding.
He sat in front of her and pressed his handkerchief- which her mom always makes him bring- on the wound. He stood up.
“Stay there.” He told her and ran to the convenience store near the park. When he came back to tend her wounds she wasn’t crying anymore.
“I’m Jaejoong, what’s your name?” he asked while placing a band-aid over her cut.
“Sandara…” she answered softly.
And that’s how they met and become friends.
6 years later----
They’re sitting under the tree. He’s 15, she’s 14.
