It was Jessica's senior year and it was in her new school.
Jessica was in the cafeteria with Hara, who was her childhood best friend and she was eating and laughing along with her.
She suddenly spotted a guy with a pair of cold, cold eyes.
She was shivering like crazy.
"Yah, Hara... Um... Do you know any you know, students who has icy, cold stares? Like, that send shivers down to your spine?" She asked Hara.
"It's none other than yours of course" She said while chewing her food.
"Yah! I'm serious! I mean, in this school" She said while hitting her arm.
"Ouch! Okay okay.. See that guy over there?" She said while pointing at a tall, black haired guy.
She nodded. "Him. I swear to you, he has the most freaky, dark eyes but handsome and... Sorry. Freaky dark eyes, yeah." She said.
Jessica rolled her eyes. "Why is he like that?" She asked.
Hara shrugged. "How would I know?"
"By the way, he's always fighting you know. Fighting with gangs almost every week. And nobody knows why."
Jessica gasped in response."that's terrible"
"Oh by the way Sica-ah, I think you're popular now." She said.
Jessica's eyes widened to her sudden words.
"Mworagu? What makes you say that?" She asked.
"Look at your left. Those boys are fanboying over you, I suppose." She said.
Jessica did what she was told.
"They're just my hoobaes." She denied.
"Bwoh? Hoobaes? You know them already?" Hara asked her.
She nodded. "They asked me to help them with English. They're seriously nice. Especially L.Joe. He's great to be with since he can speak English too." She said.
"Ohh" Hara nodded slowly.
"Why don't you say hi to them?" She said.
"Yeah maybe I should.. But... Why?" She said.
"I don't know.. Just for fun?" Hara chuckled.
Jessica sighed and shook her head.
Suddenly, a paper flew over to Jessica's direction.
She grabbed it and checked what it was for.
She flipped the paper and saw English Essay questions.
"These questions are for my level. Wait, I think it's L.Joe's" She said to herself.
She stood up and walked towards L.Joe who was with a group of boys.
She tapped his shoulder. "Hey, is this yours?" She asked him.
All of his friends were mesmerized by her prettiness including L.Joe- even though he already talked to her earlier.
"Y-yeah. Why?" He said while grabbing it.
"It flew to my direction." She chuckled.
"Oh, haha, sorry, I'm so careless" He said while scratching his head.
Jessica chuckled in response.
She noticed that the boys were staring at her.
"U-um... And you guys are...?" She asked awkwardly.
They were saying their names in unison but Jessica couldn't hear them properly.
She smiled widely. "I'm sorry but can you introduce yourself one by one?" She asked.
"I'm Sungyeol."
"I'm Woohyun"
"I'm Cap"
"I'm Niel"
"I'm Ricky"
"I'm Sunggyu"
Jessica smiled as she shook their hands.
"And I'm J-"
"Jessica" They said.
"Oh-okay..." She giggled.
"See you guys around?" She said while waving to them.
They waved back.
It was their 2nd week in school and that so-called cold-looking-guy is still sending shivers down to her spine,
She still didn't know her name.
She was walking faster until she bumped into someone.
"Hey watch where you going next time will you?!" They said in unison.
Jessica's eyes widened.
She tried to bend down and grab the guy's book to help him but before she could even bend, he already took it before her.
He continued walking to where he wanted to go.
Jessica spotted a paper which was on the floor and grabbed it quickly.
"YAH!!" She called him.
He ignored her and kept walking.
"You forgot something" She said loudly.
He turned around. "What?" He asked her while glaring.
"An apology." She said.
He scoffed in response and turned around.
He walked away.
"No apology? No paper" She smirked.
It was an important paper because it was his Biology worksheet.
"What the. Where the hell is my Biology worksheet?!?!" He asked himself while digging his bag.
"YAH! Don't play jokes" He said to INFINITE.
"Bwoh? What's wrong with you?" Woohyun asked him.
He rolled his eyes. "My biology paper. Like you people don't know." He said.
"The problem is, we really don't kn-"
Before Hoya could finish his sentence, he grabbed Hoya's collar.
"Don't mess with me." He said.
"I swear to God I don't know! None of us know anything about your ty worksheet geeezzzz" he said.
Myungsoo let go of him and remembered something.
He rolled his eyes while sighing. "I left it in the middle of the hallway didn't I" He talked to himself.
He ran to the hallway where he bumped into Jessica and no paper was found.
"Please don't tell me that it's with her.." He prayed.
Good thing that that stupid test is next week. I have plenty of time to find it then... He thought.
He searched for Jessica's class and found her asleep on a table.
He saw a piece of paper right beside her.
He tip-toed slowly and quickly grabbed it.
He then left her class immediately.
"Jessica Jung Sooyeon, come into my office please." The principle called her name by the microphone.
Everybody in the cafeteria were looking at her.
She did what she had to do.
She walked over to the principle's office.
"Yes dad?" She asked.
"Sit" He said.
She sat down. "Am I in trouble?" She asked nervously.
"Well, no. You're not" he said calmly.
She sighed in relief.
"I'm actually very impressed by your grades. Keep up the good work" He smiled.
"That's it? I came all the way here, just because of this?" She rolled her eyes.
"Of course no! I just want to say hello to my beloved daughter. Why can't I?" He asked.
She chuckled. "Ahaah.. Okay okay" She said while hugging her dad.
"I heard that so many people are already talking about you, you know." He said.
Her eyes widened. "Appa! How did you know about this?" She asked.
"Well I am the principle of this school right?" He said.
"Aish.." She said.
"I think you need to go now. Classes are starting right?" He said.
"Hmm." She stood up and bid goodbye to her father.
She opened the door and got out.
While she was walking, she took out her phone to check her messages, suddenly, a figure was walking beside her.
She was shocked and almost jumped.
"!!!" She cursed in English.
She turned around and turned out it was Myungsoo. Beside Myungsoo, stood a not-so old man.
It was her father.
She knew she was in trouble for cursing.
She wanted to apologize to her father but Myungsoo was there and she didn't want Myungsoo to know that he was her father.
So she just bowed 30degrees and walked away.
"Geez that was close." She said to herself.
"He's in my father's office? Is he in trouble? Kekekekek" She talked to herself.
As Myungsoo walked around the hallway, he peeked through Jessica's classroom window.
She was nearly sleeping.
Myungsoo was stunned because he heard that Jessica is a straight A student.
A paper hit Jessica's face and she immediately woke up.
She grabbed the paper and read the crumbled paper.
"Throw this to Yuri too." She read.
She rolled her eyes and threw it on Yuri's head who was nearly sleeping too.
Yuri immediately woke up and saw Jessica looking at her.
"Jung Jessica! I'll get you for this!" She threatened.
Jessica looked at her with a confused look.
"Huh? It wasn't me!!" She defended herself while raising her arms.
Myungsoo almost chuckled in response.
Jessica was walking until she saw a guy on the floor, groaning because he was beaten up.
She gasped loudly.
She ran towards the man who was spitting blood from his mouth.
"Sir, are you okay?!" She asked.
He didn't respond and just wiped his mouth that was full of blood with his sleeve.
"Y-you?" She asked.
He didn't respond.
"Wh-what are you doing near my house??" She asked him.
"How do I know?" He rolled his eyes.
Jessica wanted to say something but he was badly injured so she just ignored him.
You should know, bastard. She thought.
"Let's go to my house. You need some treatment." She said.
"I should get it from the nurse. Not you." He said.
"Well if you don't shut up and don't follow my orders, then you're gonna get something from me." She threatened him.
Myungsoo was chuckling from inside.
She was walking slowly with him to her house.
She opened the door slowly.
"Wait, is your dad here?" He asked.
"I guess not. He said he won't be back until 8pm" She said.
Myungsoo was relieved because 8pm is 3 hours away.
They slowly went inside and Jessica closed the door.
Myungsoo was slowly taking a seat on the couch.
"Don't move." She said.
"Look I just need to rest. I don't need-"
"Do I have to repeat what I've just said back there?" She said seriously.
Aish this girl... Myungsoo thought.
She ran upstairs to her room and searched for a first-aid kit.
The way she ran quickly made Myungsoo smile a bit but he quickly brushed it off.
After a while, he heard footsteps running down from upstairs.
Jessica opened the first aid kit and took out an alcohol bottle.
"Oh n-no" Myungsoo was nervous.
"What?" She asked.
"I-I can't take it when it comes to alcohol." He said.
Jessica giggled.
Myungsoo's heart was beating out of control.
Why now?.. He thought.
"A man could take like a hundred punches and kicks all over his face, body, and feet but can't take alcohol." She laughed out loud.
Myungsoo scratched his head.
Without a warning, Jessica rubbed the alcohol on his right foot.
"AAAAA!!!" He screamed in pain.
Jessica was shocked but she didn't care.
After rubbing the alcohol on his foot, she wrapped it with a bandage and heard Myungsoo sighing loudly.
"Man up. That was pretty unusual." She giggled.
Myungsoo's heart was beating out of control and he wondered why.
He just kept it cool and rolled his eyes.
"Well I'm a different kind of a man." He said coldly.
"Yeah sure you are. I've never seen colder than you." She said while wrapping the bandage around his foot.
"Well." He said.
"Done" She smiled cheerfully while letting go of his foot.
A small grin formed on his lips but he was back to his old self when Jessica looked at him.
I could've sworn that he was smiling a bit just now... She thought.
She grabbed his arm slowly and sighed at the sight she was looking at.
Blood blood blood, cuts cuts cuts, Everywhere. She thought.
She grabbed the alcohol napkin(?) and warned him this time.
She looked at him calmly. "This'll only sting a little... If you calm down." She smiled.
Myungsoo couldn't help but continue staring at her. He nodded.
He just witnessed the most beautiful smile in the whole wide world.
Jessica slowly rubbed the alcohol on his arm.
Myungsoo was closing his eyes tightly every time she wiped it on his arm.
But the pain was all gone when he witnessed her sparkling eyes.
"Still hurts?" She asked him quietly.
He shook his head and gulped.
"Good." She smiled while taking a plaster.
She started with his forehead first.
Jessica was shivering at the sight she was looking at. Some parts of Myungsoo's forehead were cut opened.
She leaned closer and closer to Myungsoo's face and their lips were inches away from each other since Myungsoo's taller than her and she needed to stand up a little bit.
Myungsoo gulped.
Jessica was so focused on treating Myungsoo and didn't even notice that he was staring at her.
She placed the plasters on the cuts while Myungsoo kept on staring and staring at her.
He didn't even notice that a wide grin was formed on his lips.
When Jessica went down to his lips that some parts were cut, she noticed that his lips were in a different form.
Her eyes widened and she looked at him.
Their eyes were locked with each other.
"Y-you smiled.." She said slowly.
He brushed it off and acted clueless.
"Don't lie to me" She smirked.
"N-no way!" He went farther away from Jessica.
"Yah! Don't forget that your still not fully treated." She warned.
Myungsoo was too nervous for the 'let-me-treat-your-lips' scene so he just grabbed the plaster and placed it on the side of his lips himself.
Why am I slowly..? UGH. He thought.
"I believe that we haven't introduced ourselves properly." She said.
"I'm Jung Jessica." She offered her hand.
He shook it. "I'm Kim Myungsoo." He said.
They let go of their hands.
"M-Myungsoo... You rarely smile... Am I right..?" She asked.
He nodded. "I haven't smiled in years." He said coldly.
"By the way, I took my worksheet back." He said.
"I know." She said.
"How?!" He asked.
"I wasn't actually sleeping." She giggled.
He rolled his eyes playfully.
"Um look, Let me send you home." She insisted.
"N-no it's okay. I can do it by myself" He said while standing up.
"Be careful." She said while smiling.
Myungsoo could sense that there was a concern in her voice.
He just nodded plainly.
I don't think I can do that.. He thought.
Jessica and Myungsoo have been hanging out for quite a while and Myungsoo couldn't help but smile whenever he's with her.
The people around them are all curious of what has happened to the cold Myungsoo.
Jessica couldn't help but fall for him.
Yes, fall for him.
He even came for her birthday and they talked somewhere else quiet when everybody in her house left home.
He gave her a necklace that had a small, silver heart as a locket.
She promised to him that she would always treasure it and he smiled sweetly.
It wasn't his usual smile. To Jessica, every time he smiled was like a present to her, but this smile, it was different.
She could remember this smile until her last breath.
The next day was a horrible day to Jessica.
She found out that something horrible had happened to Myungsoo.
And that he passed away because he was beaten up by some men who were trying to hurt Jessica.
Jessica sat down as the rain was pouring slowly outside her window and tears were forming in her beautiful eyes when Myungsoo's image appeared on her mind.
The real story about Myungsoo was that he was arranged a marriage with Jessica and since he was young, he was always fond of finding out who his wife would be. One day, his parents died in a car accident and he swore to himself that he would protect his future wife wether she was ugly or not.
He found out later where his future wife lived and who is her father. He told her father that he would take care of her and kept his promise to her father.
He found out that some gang is tracking down Jessica and has been spying on her because they wanted to kill her because of her money. Jessica was actually adopted by her Mr. Jung that's why they wanted her.
The reason why Myungsoo is always injured and fighting with some men is because he wanted to protect her.
When Jessica found out about this, she cried her heart out.
And the last time she saw him, when he was smiling on her birthday. So she kept his smile in her heart, forever.

I bet you're all mentally killing me. GOOD NEWS~ I'm writing a lot now, but since it's an exam week, i can't update. But I will next week! :D -25th of May 2013
