Seven years…

I leaned by the window, holding a lit cigarette in a hand, staring at the scenery.

Among the dark velvet sky, there was only one bright star. For unknown reasons, watching it, I can't help but feel alone and abandoned.

My stomach is churning again.

Hugging my abdomen, I slide my body down slowly, every movement causing another spasm of pain, my throat caught by the salty liquid. The almost-burnt-up cigarette fell from my finger tips soundlessly.

You told me once, that you’ll be my guardian, being by my side forever and ever, right?

You also told me that, you’re my angel, staying with me, no matter what happens, you’ll be there to face it along with me, right?

So, why?

Why did you leave me when I had needed you the most?

Why go back against your words?

Why…?

Yesterday night I vomited out blood again.

The doctors told me my report will only be out after a few days.

But I don't need it. I know my own body better than them.

I'm not gonna hold for long, aren’t I?

It has been seven years since I had left Seoul, left South Korea. Before today, I had never felt such a strong urge to go back.

But, I want to see you again before I leave this world forever. Even if it’s just one glance, it’s enough to me.

I miss you.
