Forbidden Equation

"Where the Hell are we?!" Kris' deep voice growled in frustration. He (along with Tao and Chen) were locked up together in a grimy room, handcuffed and held forcefully by foul restraints.

Jongdae sleepily rubbed his blurry eyes. "This is where I was before you guys found me." He offered Tao and Wu Fan a weak smile.

"Then, that means this is where Channie met Baekhyun!" Tao gasped excitedly, seeming oblivious to the situation.

Kris' eyes softened as he looked toward the younger; his voice tenderised. "Tao, you know Baekhyun's not real. You shouldn't let Chanyeol fill your head with nonsense. I know you want to help him, but we can't do anything."

"But gege..." He started, before sorrowful tears pirouetted down his cheeks and crashed to the floor helplessly. As he watched him, Chen thought silently to himself, it's amazing how quickly he can change his emotions.

Panicking, Chanyeol (with the aid of Kai's teleportation abilities) frantically searched in the Cimmerian shade for a clue, a mere trace of a clue, anything that would direct him to the whereabouts of his friends. His flaming red eyes were clouded with enmity.

Meanwhile, back in the house they all shared together, Sehun was beside himself with a combination of distress and guilt. He couldn't stop blaming himself for Luhan's dissapearance - in a way, he half suspected that Luhan had ran off, distraught, because he didn't feel the same way that Luhan felt about him. Or did he? He didn't know anymore.

2 weeks after they had been abducted, the two vampires and their human friend were about to give up all fragments of shattered hope.

It was only at 11:59pm, on the 13th of February, that the dismembered debris faith began to piece themselves back together.

Chanyeol had been pouring himself a glass of fresh human blood, when he noticed red scrap of paper lying on the blood red carpet, in front of the door. Red, red, red. Red as Snow White's freaking poisoned apple. Why is every freaking thing in this house red? He dragged his feet over unwillingly, and bent down to pick up the note. Scrawled across the paper in black ink were the words: 'Yuexiu South Road, No. 412. Saranghae, Baek.' His eyes glistened like precious diamonds and his heart skipped a beat as he read the note. I'm not mad. This is real. He's real! A lovesick grin covered his face. And alive! Now I can find him!

His smile vanished quickly when he turned the note over. 'Hurry. I don't have much time left.' Whoever's doing this to my Baeky will burn in Hell if I ever find them. And I will.

After showing the note to Jongin, Chanyeol persuaded him to teleport them both to the location Baekhyun had given. Unfortunately, Sehun woke up in the middle of the night and, after hearing of their plan, begged them to take him with them until they eventually (irresponsibly) agreed.

In normal circumstances, Suho showing any kind of agression was an extremely unparalleled event. On the other hand, without Chen by his side, it seemed as though it were the most orthodox thing in the world. Snarling in fury, he swiped relentlessly at a masked man (who was timidly depositing a bowl of cow's blood into the dreary room Suho was kept in) with his bloodthirsty talons. Once the man had left the room, Suho stared at the contents of the bowl, his eyes clouded by suspicion. In a few moments, the reality hit him. If I don't drink this, I'll die. Then I'll never see Jongdae again. He began to, still slightly unsure, lap up the blood from the bowl before him.

At that moment, Kai materialised - with Chanyeol and Sehun clinging onto him. "Suho?" Chanyeol bellowed, half in shock and half in excitement.

"Suho, are you ok? Are you hurt?" Kai asked worriedly.

"I'm fine." The elder vampire stood up on shaking legs; he hadn't been up on his feet for days. "They have Chen."

"Where's Baekhyun?" Chanyeol snapped.

"What? Not now, Chanyeol. This isn't the time." The leader sighed, regaining his composure.

Taking it out from his pocket, Chanyeol shoved the note in Suho's face. "It's from Baekhyun. That's how we knew where to look. We came here for him." Suho had calmed down, but instead of answering, he looked down at the floor and breathed deeply.

The leader turned to Jongin. "You should have been more careful - you could have been caught."

Kai nodded in response. "I know. I'll be more careful next time."

"The surveillance room is just down the hall, to the left. No-one's in there, right now. I would have seen them go past."

"Right! We can go there now!" Chanyeol piped up.

"Yeah! And we can find out where Luhan is!" Sehun chimed in, and then stopped to think about where on Earth the remark had came from.

In the security office, the three vampires (plus Sehun) gathered together, observing each screen thoroughly. Suho's eyes immerdiately lit up when he saw Chen's face on one of the screens. He didn't seem hurt, although he looked exhausted.

Kai teleported Chanyeol and Suho to the room that Jongdae, Tao, and Wu Fan were locked in. After Chanyeol sent torrid flames towards the chains that held them to the cold wall, Jongin brought their companions back to the security room (he had gotten stronger over the past few weeks, thanks to training, and was able to teleport several people as well as himself).

Suho pulled Chen into a welcoming embrace. "I missed you so much."

"I was scared I'd never see you again." Jongdae whispered into his ear.

While the vampires silently watched the scene in awe, Sehun scoffed. "Hurry up. I'm bored." He whined impertinently.

Ten minutes later, Luhan and Lay were reunited with the group. Yixing looked forlorn, and asked them where Xiumin was. "I'm sorry Lay. We don't know, but we'll find him." Zitao assured him.

Luhan moved towards Sehun enthusiastically, before stopping abruptly when he saw a look of horror wash over Sehun's face. Seeing that he looked ready to collapse, Lay zipped towards Luhan and steadied him. Foolishly, Kai blurted out, "Sehun, when are you going to quit pretending and just admit that you're in love with Luhan?!"

Sehun hung his head, not knowing what to do. When he finally looked  Luhan directly in the eye, Luhan's heart burst like popcorn. Sehun glided over to him and draped his arm over his shoulder, keeping him upright. He flashed a dazzling smile in Luhan's direction (which only made him weaker) and Luhan tried to respond with a grin, but only managed a simper. He tried to imitate the enticing look in Sehun's eyes, his confident stance, but only succeeded in staring vacantly and then collapsing, his legs buckling underneath him.

Two masked men stood on the ground in front of Xiumin and Kyungsoo. They each held a small remote which had a large red button in the centre. Luckily, before either of the men could press the button (that would inescapably result in the demise of either Minseok or D.O.) Kai, Lay, Luhan and Sehun emerged from thin air in front of them.

Aghast, the two masked humans repeatedly opened and closed their stunned eyes haltingly, in attempt to recapture control of the unbelievable situation. Luhan took advantage of this, while Jongin stalled by vanishing and reappearing in a variety of different locations within the room - further confusing his opponents. Taking extreme care, Luhan unlocked Xiumin's cage with his powerful mind, picked Xiumin up and carried him to the ground setting him down lightly next to Yixing - so he could check for any wounds that needed healing. He then repeated this procedure with Kyungsoo. All the while, Oh Sehun stood by him, careful not to distract him while he (mentally) handled his friends.

Xiumin wrapped his arms around Lay, who accepted his embrace lovingly. When reality ultimtely set in, they all held onto each other and Jongin teleported them back to the room that was full of security screens (leaving the idiotic masked men even more astonished and befuddled).

Chanyeol had gone his own way, much to Suho's dismay, and (with no other choice) Tao, Kris, Chen, and Suho helplessly followed behind him as he stalked the corridors of the dilapidated building, in search of his Baekhyunnie. He hesitated as he passed a door, hearing sobs from inside the room. A harsh, cruel voice followed the doleful sobs. Instantly recognising the sound of the cries, Chanyeol leaned against the door, reluctant. It was Baekhyun - his Baekhyunnie.

Before he could fling open the door, his vampiric friends (and Sehun) appeared in front of him. Momentarily, his thoughts were distracted, but after a few seconds he retrieved control of his thoughts.

Without thinking, he the door ajar and stomped inside with a foolish excited look on his face. The thrilled expression disappeared in a flash, and was replaced by a pathetic one instead.

Baekhyun lay on the floor, unmoving, handcuffed and restrained. His clothes were drowned in fresh tears, and abysmal, agonising cuts and bruises, and tormenting scratches were scattered all over his body.
