Chapter 18

Flashback

Hours before in M dorm…

Xiumin squirmed as he woke up, feeling a vibration on his back. He turned away and found a cell phone under his body all night long. Sehun’s name was shown on the screen. Xiumin still remembered the incident last night, presuming that it was Kai, holding back the urge to answer the call. It was unconnected, but it vibrated back in a little while.

“Ne?” answered Xiumin.

“Xiumin hyung?”

It was nice to hear Sehun’s voice welcoming him. Xiumin straightened his body, greeting Tao by moving his eyebrow. EXO-M’s maknae replied with a mumble before curling back I his blanket, there was still forty-three minutes left until the dorm’s alarm went on. “Oh, Sehun­-ah. Good morning. Why—“

“Hyung, I need your help,” said Sehun cracking a conversation. “But first, I want to say something to you. I know it may sound silly or maybe crazy. Even after this, Hyung’s opinion towards me might change. I’m ready to receive all of that, Hyung. I’m ready with all kind of reaction you will show and—“

Xiumin became impatient waiting Sehun to finish his sentence. And it seems he knew where this conversation was going. “Sehun-ah, just straight to what you want to say already….”

“Hyung, if I say… that I like Luhan hyung. What will you say?”

Bingo!

Xiumin went to the laundry room so their conversation wouldn’t be overheard by the other members. After coughing several times, he continued. “I… choose to ask you. What do you seek from this confession? That feeling, may have been buried for so long. Before we were gathered in EXO, far before we debuted. If during that time you can refrain yourself, why now you choose to open it? What’s the difference between liking Luhan now and Luhan in the past?”

A long sighed was heard from the other line. Sehun absorbed Xiumin’s words and replied under his breath, “At that time, I was still a kid who was looking for a direction. Luhan hyung came and showed me one. Long after, I thought I had chosen the one I wanted. But, I felt that the way out was getting further. As if something was blocking me and making me walk at the same spot,” Sehun inhaled a long deep breath again, “I want to walk back, Hyung, and I need some help.”

“What can I do for you then?”

A few minutes later, Xiumin knocked Luhan-Lay’s room, bringing his laptop. A groan was heard from inside, telling him that the inhabitant inside wasn’t freed from the sleepiness yet and waiting each other to open the door. Xiumin knocked vigorously, forcing somebody to finally walk to welcome him.

That was Luhan who yawned widely. “Bao zhi?”

Xiumin pulled Luhan out of the room. “Open your eyes! You ought to see this…”

Blinking his sleepy eyes, Luhan focused his sight to the laptop screen and widened his eyes. Before his very eyes was the sight of him and Sehun. This photo, was Hunhan’s showing off their closeness. Taken on his birthday last year, when Hunhan was officially introduced to the members. The second EXO couple created after Baekyeol.

There were hundred comments lined up. The three comments at the very top said: 

“HunHan is [OFFICIALLY] REAL <3”

“Oppa so cute together. I’m dying for their adorable skinship. I want more!!!!”

“Kiss Sehun oppa for me, Lu oppa {^///////^}

Luhan couldn’t keep his laughter. What was this all about?

“Hunhan ask to be back on its former place,” said Xiumin like a father-telling-his-naughty-son. Asking to be listened and understood each of his words. “Let’s end this scenario of Xiuhan, Lumin, or whatever it is. Everyone wants Hunhan so you have to grant it.” He patted Luhan’s shoulder lightly. “I think I don’t have to tell you why I insist. You must have known that kid’s feeling towards you, right?”
