“Late again?” The teacher sighed.

“Jwesonghamnida.” Sungyeol bowed then sat down in his seat.

He actually got up earlier to get to school on time, but something had happened.

His mother had a mental breakdown. He woke up and found her in a corner screaming and crying. Thee was bottles everywhere from the night before. Right after the boys had went to sleep, she got up and started drinking again. Sungyeol honestly had no clue where she was getting so much alcohol from. They probably had some stored somewhere in their room.

“Sungyeol? Hello?”

“Is he in some kind of trance?”

Dongwoo shrugged. “I don’t know.”

“Sungyeol-ah!” Woohyun was waving his hand in front of Sungyeol’s face.

“Huh? When did you get there?”

“A minute ago.” Woohyun chuckled.

“You were in some kind of trance or something.”

“Did aliens attack you?” Dongwoo asked.

They all gave him a weird look.

“What? It could happen!”

Hoya shook his head. “Babo.”

“I just had some..stuff on my mind.” Sungyeol answered.

“Ah..I see. And how do you feel about that?” Woohyun pretended to be making notes of this.

“Aish, stop it.” Sunggyu flicked his head.

“Yah! No need for violence!” Woohyun held onto his forehead in pain.

Suddenly Myungsoo slammed his fists onto the desk, causing the classroom to become silent.

“What’s his problem?” Hoya frowned.

“Maybe it’s his time of the month.” Dongwoo and Hoya began laughing at Sungyeol’s statement.

“ you, loner.” Myungsoo growled.

“Sorry, I’m not gay.”

Myungsoo scoffed. “I am no-“

Woohyun put a hand on his shoulder while laughing.

“It’s okay, you don’t have to hide it anymore.”

Myungsoo groaned and got up and left the class, right as the bell rang.

“ing tree…” He muttered under his breath.

“I wonder where he’s going.”

“Probably to go see one of his many girlfriends.”

“Of course, he’ll break their hearts the next day.” Hoya nodded.

“He really is an .” Sungyeol said bluntly.

They only nodded.

Woohyun sighed. “Every once in a while he’s nice.”

“It’s just family problems. I mean, they left him. All he’s got are his servants. He’s lonely.”

“YAH!” Sunggyu smacked Dongwoo’s arm.

“That hurts! Why’d you hit me?” He whined.

Hoya groaned. “Hyung, that’s supposed to be secret!”

“That’s why he’s such a jerk? Because his parents left him?”

Woohyun sighed. “Yep. They left him the house and some of the workers. That’s it.”

“Hey, why are you always late?”

“Yeah, you hardly ever come to class on time.”

“Uh, it’s nothing really. Just sometimes get up late.” Sungyeol lied.

“I’m gonna go now. Kay, bye!” Sungyeol took off, heading to the tree that he usually sits under.

“Wait, are yo- Oh, nevermind. Let’s find L.” Sunggyu nodded.

Myungsoo was laying beneath a tree.

It was peaceful.

There wasn’t anyone around.

“Yah. What are you doing?”

He opened his eyes, to see the loner standing over him.

“What do you want?” He closed his eyes again.

“This is my tree.  There’s plenty of other trees you could lay under.”

“Is your name on it?”

“Yep.”

Myungsoo sat up and looked closely at the tree.

He could see ‘Lee Sungyeol’ neatly carved into the tree.

“I’m not moving.”

“Okay. I guess you’re gonna have to deal with being seen with the loner.” Sungyeol sat beside Myungsoo and put his headphones on.

Sungyeol turned the volume up as Myungsoo complained about him being there.

“Yah! Are you ignoring me?!” Myungsoo glared.

Nothing.

“Aish…you weird tree.” He groaned and laid back down.
