The dryer must have made its 1000^th revolution by now, but the girl still hasn’t stopped the device. Her bill must be sky-high, yet she didn’t care. The floor beneath her feet was pooled with droplets. The machine was beeping now. Still, there was no visible movement.

Sniffles were heard. The girl sat down. The attendants were cluelessly looking at each other, pointing fingers, pushing one other to alert the girl. The girl produced a hanky, wiped her nose and stopped the machine.

The beeping sound stopped. The attendants took to other customers. The girl lethargically took out her laundry from the dryer.

A smaller woman came in.

“What happened to you?” She asked the tall girl.

The girl picked up her bag, laid coins on the table and offered her a smile. “My eyes were dry.”
