Chapter 6
Dreamer
“Baekhyun?”
Chanyeol called out.
It was strange.
Baekhyun did not wait for him at the school gate after class on that evening.
He had waited for Baekhyun, for approximately 15 minutes or so.
But Baekhyun did not turn up.
“Baekhyun?”
He called out again as he walked at the corridor of their class level.
Chanyeol was panicking inside.
Did something happen to Baekhyun?
The thought made Chanyeol walked quickly towards the classroom.
He did not know since when he cared for Baekhyun from the bottom of his heart.
May be way before his mother told him to do so.
Whenever he saw Baekhyun in school, he was always in all smiles.
But he knew that was just a mask.
Beneath it, it was just a glum face.
Or may be not.
Baekhun may look like a typical bubbly kid, but he was actually very mature than he looked.
Chanyeol knew that Baekhyun was trying to make himself more open to him.
He knew the good intentions of Baekhyun.
But he was already used to be in the ‘ready-for-war’ mode.
It became a habit that he could not change.
“Baekhyun?”
He called out again when he opened the classroom door.
Yes, Baekhyun was in the class.
He was still sitting at his seat, looking out through the window.
“Baek…”
“Have you ever feel like you’re part of the air?”
Baekhyun said before Chanyeol could call him again.
What does he even mean?
Chanyeol thought.
Important as the air?
Or invisible like air?
Chanyeol did not know which Baekhyun was referring to.
“Did you me…”
Before Chanyeol could continue, Baekhyun stood up from the seat and carried his bag,
He looked at Chanyeol.
The gaze again.
It had been a long time since he saw Baekhyun with that look in his eyes.
Baekhyun walked towards his direction and as he passed by Chanyeol,
He said,
“Dreamers don’t always have a good dream.”
Chanyeol turned to look Baekhyun, but he had already walked out of the door.
He did not understand what Baekhyun meant.
And he did not know that his nightmare had just begun.
