Tiffany sniffed as she wiped the tears off her face, before shaking her head.

"It's okay.."
"Im sorry.."
"I lost control.."

"No no"
"Don't worry about it"
"We totally understand it"

Sooyoung replied with a smile.

"Let's just get down to business now, alright?"

Tiffany nodded.

"Can you tell us more about Sica's past?"
"I mean, just straight to the point"

"Her past?"

There's so much for me to tell behind her that seemingly tough yet weak walls.
What is behind her mask, why does it even concern her condition?

She has the saddest past, although i had a bad one too.

Sooyoung nodded with a solemn expression.

"From what Yoona had told me, and if we are not wrong about it"
"The abductor is her birth father"
"He has now kept her held in somewhere we know nuts about it"
"We don't have a single clue too"

"Her father?"
"Are you sure?"
"I mean, her father died in an accident a few years ago"
"Their car blown up before the ambulance and police arrived"

"What do you mean by that?"
"Blown up?"

Yoona repeated in shocked, unable to believe what she had just heard.

"How could it be?"
"I really, heard it with my own ears that Sica unnie called him 'appa' "

"It cannot be.."
"I mean, she went through all their funeral"

"All?"
"You mean.."

Tiffany nodded with a sigh.

"Her whole family was in the car except her because she wanted them to pick her up from school that fateful day"
"Till now, she's been blaming herself for the accident, that she deserves it now that she lost her own family"
"Jessi came from a reputable family, wealthy and famous"
"We lived in the same district, thats how we came to know each other"

"Where did you all lived in?"
"Before all these?"

"Do you know the wealthy district filled with many mansionettes?"
"Its located at Pyongchangdong"
"I was living in misery back then because my parents ignored my existence"
"Jessi was always there for me whenever i needed her"
"I never.."

Tiffany took a few seconds to calm down before continuing her story.

"I never once.. took an effort to take care of her.."
"From then.. till now.."
"Its all my fault!"
"I should have stayed even she insisted for me to go!"
"How stupid could i have been!"
"If i hadn't left, all these wouldn't have happened!"
"Even if she was captured, i would be captured too!"
"I just want to be with her together, even if that means i'll die!"

She sobbed, covering her face with her hands.

"Tiffany unnie, it's okay.."

Yoona comforted her, giving Tiffany's shoulders an encouraging rub.

"Sica unnie will be fine"
"Shh.."

Yoona and Sooyoung took a whole lot of effort to calm Tiffany now that night, before even gotten anymore information on Jessica's past, as well as her old house.

The next morning, Tiffany was awoken to a bright ray of sunlight, hurting her eyes as she raised her arms to cover her eyes.
A blanket fell off her shoulder, only to see an empty ward with a note beside her.

Tiffany unnie,

Sooyoung unnie and I have left for Pyongchangdong.
We figured out it will be one of the hidding spot for Sica unnie's dad.

Don't rush over, we have all this under control.
Hope you had a good sleep, we know that you're pretty exhausted.

You can simply go back to Sica unnie's office, with her make shift bed and rest.
We're sure we'll give you news on Sica unnie soon.

"Jessi..?"

Tiffany stayed on the sofa and recalled every single thing that happened the night before.
As she did that, she started blamming herself for falling asleep while crying, what a cry baby she was.

Had she provided Sooyoung more news of Jessica's past, she might be able to see Jessica even sooner.

The door flew open with a huge slam against the wall, Jessica laid on the bed, hands and ankles strapped to the four corners of the bed, unable to move.
She was unconscious, expression revealing a lot of pain in her.

"JUNG SOOYEON!"
"GET UP GET UP GET UP!"
"WHO TOLD YOU TO SLEEP?!"
"YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE SLEEPING!"

Joonghwa's voice boomed over the room, as he shouted at Jessica, trying to wake her up.
Instead of waking up, Jessica only let out soft groan.

"JUNG SOOYEON!"
"GET UP GET UP!"
"YOURE NOT DYING HERE!"

Joonghwa shook Jessica roughly, trying to wake her up.
Everyone in the room watched him with a puzzled look, shaking his daughter frantically yet the moment she was conscious, 
he wanted to just torture her.

And now, Jessica had lost her consciousness.

"YOU PEOPLE!"

He shouted to the group of people behind him, pointing fingers at them.

"DO SOMETHING TO WAKE HER UP!"
"DO SOMETHING!"

The group just stood still and stayed quiet, with their heads down.

"She's my daughter!"
"She can only die with my permission!"
"WAKE HER UP!"

One of the man, with a mask over his face sighed and stepped forward.

"Sir, we've given whatever you ordered on your daughter"
"We're doing all these illegal sick acts for you because we owe you something each"
"But we've done everything you've told you"
"She's not going to wake up anymore unless her will wants to, sir"
"You've caused her too much damage, too too much"

"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!"

Joonghwa shouted angrily, landing a punch on the man's face which made him fell straight down onto the floor.
He wiped his lips and stood up again with a pair of angered eyes.

"Thats all you can do!"
"Slap, punch and push!"
"Did you even realised that she's still your daughter no matter what she had done?!"
"You can kill me afterwards, or whatever you want"
"But i can't stand you acting like this anymore!"
"You're like total bipolar person!"
"She's suffering so much because of you!"
"A perfectly healthy person is now, unconscious because of a sick man like you!"

Joonghwa's eyes widened as he let those words sink in him, slowly loosening his fist.

"And we've all decided that we will leave you"
"We're not doing this anymore!"
"Because of what you've forced us to do, we can barely sleep every night!"
"Our guilt is haunting us down every single night!"

He exploded in tears, filled with anger and frustration.

Joonghwa turned to Jessica, fell to his knees in tears as he teared the infus and straps off Jessica.
Gently caressing her cheeks, Joonghwa whispered,

"Baby girl.."
"Daddy.. is sorry.."

But Jessica didint even flinch.
Joonghwa sat there in silence for minutes while the group of people left the abandoned house.

What have i been doing, honey..?
I'm really lost after losing you..

Honey..
Baby Krystal..

Are you all doing fine there in the heaven..?

I didn't mean to do this to Sooyeon..
I didn't mean to..
 

My head, it's no longer in my control..
Tell me, what should i do..?

Im so sorry, Sooyeon..
Appa is really..

It only few hours later, when the police siren was heard all around the abandoned house.

"TO WHOEVER IS INSIDE THE HOUSE RIGHT NOW"
"YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO SURRENDER BECAUSE YOU'RE SURROUNDED BY THE POLICE"
"COME OUT OF THE MAIN DOOR NOW WITH YOUR HANDS ON THE BACK OF YOUR HEAD"
"WEAPONS AWAY"

Those warnings were projected by one of the many policemen down there, through a loudhailer.

Joonghwa stood up, and walked out of the room, down the stairs, straight to the main door with a blank look plastered over his face.
With his hands on the back of his head, he was immediately apprehended by the police.

Another screech of break was then heard as Sooyoung, Yoona, Nicole and team came rushing out of the cars while an ambulance followed behind.
The medics were running after them, dashing into the abandoned mansion.

"Sica!"

"Sica unnie!"
"Where are you?!"
"Can you-"

Hara dropped her forensic kit with wide open, with Seohyun beside her.
Tears were b in the eyes.

"SOOYOUNG UNNIE!"
"YOONA UNNIE!"
"COME HERE, QUICK!"

The two shouted in unison as they rushed into the room, shaking Jessica furiously.

"Unnie, we're here to save you!"
"Stay with us please!"

"Unnie!"
"Please!"

Seohyun and Hara sobbed while the medics, Sooyoung and Yoona rushed into the room with the rest of the team behind them.
Medics were pushing away the two sobbing friends of Jessica's, taking her vitals and putting her onto the stretcher within minutes before carrying her out.

After helping Jessica up onto the ambulance, one of the medics turned to them,

"Anyone following her?"
"I can only allow two family members or friends to follow us"

"Us"

Yoona and Sooyoung said almost immediately as they got up the ambulance, had the door shut.
Sirens were switched on, and the ambulance sped off to the nearest hospital.

Sooyoung held onto Jessica's hands with tears falling off her eyes.

"Sica, wake up.."
"You shouldn't be here sleeping, you hear me?"
"Tiffany is back, waiting for you"
"She will be back for good"
"You don't want to disappoint her, right?"

"Sica unnie, wake up"
"You cannot break Tiffany unnie's heart like this"
"You know how much she is going to cry and sob over this"
"Please, wake up"

Yoona whispered into Jessica's ears when a sudden rapid beeping was heard.
The paramedics start fussing over Jessica, pushing Sooyoung and Yoona aside.

"What's wrong with her?!"

"BP's dropping!"
"Her heart rate is falling!"

One of the medics shouted, eyes watching the figures of the monitoring system falling rapidly.

"Step on the pedal!"
"Quick!"

He shouted towards the driver worriedly.

"We're reaching"
"Im turning in!"

With that, the ambulance swerved into the ER of the hospital and within minutes, Jessica were being pushed into the ER while Sooyoung and Yoona were made to sit outside and wait after filling up the forms.

10 minutes later

"If only we had gone earlier.."
"If only we didn't spend the time in the hospital watching Tiffany unnie sleep.."

Sooyoung shook her head sadly, holding onto Yoona's hands, giving her hands a light squeeze.

"Yoong, it's not your fault nor my fault"
"Even if it happened again, I'll still spend the night there watching Tiffany sleep"
"She's Sica's everything"
"We cannot neglect her for Sica's safety"

"But we cannot neglect Sica unnie for Tiffany unnie too!"
"Did you see what state she was in?!"
"Unnie! Sica unnie was trying to hard to hang on to her life!"

Yoona exclaimed in tears.

"Hey.."
"Come here"
"We all don't want this to happen"
"None of us wanted this to happen"

Sooyoung said, pulling Yoona into a hug, thankful that she has Yoona by her side,
safe and sound.

While they were engulfed in their hug, Tiffany was seen running into the ER waiting area frantically in tears, 
looking extremely worried and pale, as if she was going to collapse in another few minutes because of the huge blow.

Jessi..

How could you endanger your life like this?
How could you..
Did you really forget about me?
Even if you did, you shouldn't belittle your life like this..
Your life, it's so important and precious that you should cherish it..

Please be fine..
Pleasepleaseplease!
Please stay safe!

I'm back here in Seoul already.
I'm never leaving you alone here.

Sooyoung and Yoona broke their hug and ran towards Tiffany, stopping her at the waiting section.

"Where is Jessi?!"
"Where is she?!"
"What happened?!"
"Why is she in a critical condition?!"
'What did-"

"Tiffany unnie, calm down"
"Take a deep breath first"

Yoona said worriedly, trying to calm the panickly Tiffany down.

"But how?!"
"How do you expect me to calm down?!"
"That's my girlfriend-"

Jessi..

Please be fine..
You're going to pull through everything and hear my apologies..
Please!

"Tiffany, I know"
"We know!"
"We all know that she's your girlfriend and we all know that you two loves each other deeply!"
"But there's nothing we can do now except to wait for the doctor!"
"They are all trying their best to save her now!"

Sooyoung exploded helplessly in tears.

"I can't lose her.."
"Sooyoung.. I just can't.."
"I can't imagine my life without her existence.."
"I-"

Tiffany dropped to her knees onto the clean, shiny ground of the hospital as she broke down in tears.
She shook her head sadly, tears dripping onto the ground.

"Jessi.."
"Please.."

Just as Sooyoung was about to help Tiffany up to the bench, a doctor came running out towards the trio.

"May i know anyone of you is related to Jung Sooyeon Jessica?"
"The forensic scientist that just got sent in here after being rescued from a huge crime case"

Tiffany turned her head around immediately upon hearing Jessica's name while Yoona supported her to get up on her feets.

"We are"
"How is she now?"
"Is she going to be okay?"

"This is what i've to talk to you all about"
"Jessica-sshi suffered from a really serious allergy reaction"
"At the same time, she came in with a really high temperature"
"Her head has a concussion and it hemorrhaging in it"
"I'll need to operate on her to remove the blood clot"
"I need one of you to sign this consent form for her before i can start on the surgery"

"Is it serious?!"
"Will she be okay doctor?"
"Pleasepleaseplease save her!"

Tiffany asked in tears while Sooyoung immediately grabbed the form over and signed it before handling back to the doctor.
Yoona put her arms over Tiffany's shoulder, giving them a light squeeze.

The doctor took a quick look at the form and nodded with a smile.

"I'll send another doctor here in a short while to update you all her current progress while i operate on her"
"We'll try our best to save her although her condition is not very positive"
"But she has tried her best to pull through now, i'm sure she's able to stay even stronger now"

The doctor said before rushing back to the ER.

Yoona helped Tiffany back onto a seat at the waiting area while Sooyoung went to get her a cup of hot cocoa.

"We know you are not having any appetite now.."
"But, you need to drink something"
"You don't look so well, you look really exhausted"
"Sica will not want to see you in this state when she wakes up"

Tiffany looked up to Sooyoung in tears.

"Do you.. think.."
"Jessi is.. going to be.. alright..?"

She whispered softly, afraid to think about the worst.

Sooyoung and Yoona smiled.

"Of course, of course"
"Sica unnie really loves you"
"That was why she sent you away Tiffany unnie"
"She foreseen this ages ago"
"She didn't want you to be in any form of danger"

"Precisely, Tiffany"
"Sica wants to see you again"
"And to be with you again"
"She will not give up any chance or hope to see you again"
"So she WILL be alright!"
"You got to be strong for her okay?"

"I'll-"

Another doctor came out of the ER, much younger than the previous doctor.
Her hands held onto a clip board as she rushed towards the trio.

Giving the three a light bow, she smiled a little.

"I am Dr. Woo"
"I am Dr. Park's resident"
"Dr. Park sent me to talk to you three about Jessica-sshi's condition when she was sent in by the paramedics"
"Im sure you three must be worried sick"

"How is she, Dr. Woo?"

Sooyoung asked worriedly.

"She's currently being prepped for a surgery"
"Dr. Park is the best neurosurgeon in our hospital"
"Im sure he is going to do a great job for her"
"And, back to Jessica-sshi's initial condition"
"She was sent in her with multiple bruises, narrowed trachea, which is her breathing tube"
"That was due to her allergy reaction"
"We've intubated her as soon as she was sent in by the paramedics"
"Her head seemed to have received a strong impact that it was bleeding a little"
"But inside it, was bleeding more"
"So we had sent her into an emergency surgery"

The trio listened attentively, but that wasn't what they wanted to know.
They wanted to hear just - "She's going to be fine".

That was what they wanted to hear.
Not those long chunk of medical terms.

"Please, Dr. Woo"

Tiffany started in tearily.

"I don't understand all those that you're trying to tell me"
"But all i want to know is just whether is going to be.. alright?"
"She's really important to me

"I can't guarantee you that she is fine"
"Because in surgeries, there are always risks and surprises"
"However, if the surgery goes well"
"I think she should recover well within a few months"
"But if she does, there are also a few stuff she has to take note in future after this incident"

"Why?"
"What does she have to take note off?"

"Her health might not be as strong as she was"
"She has a weak pair of lungs since born"
"And now, because of this serious allergy reaction"
"Her trachea might be really sensitive towards the air quality etc"
"We can only give you more information after the surgery is over"

That night, Tiffany sat outside the operating theatre, dozing off every few minutes with a heavy heart.
She was praying silently in her heart, praying that Jessica will be fine the moment she was awake.

Sooyoung and Yoona, however went to a corner of the hospital and whispered to each other regarding Jessica's father.

"Unnie, what happens next?"
"Sica unnie's father has been arrested together with the rest of the accomplices"
"What will happen to him?"

Sooyoung shrugged.

"Nicole told me that all the accomplices admitted to the crime"
"Helping him because they owed him a favour"
"However, her father doesn't seem to be really normal, Yoong"
"He was stable for a moment"
"The next moment, he went berserk and started getting really violent and agitated"

"Then did the investigators had any clue on the reason behind his behaviour?"
"To kidnap Sica unnie or that bipolar behaviour?"

Shaking her head, Sooyoung continued with a worried sigh.

"The investigators are suspecting him to have some kind of mental breakdown"
"They are going to send in a few pyschiatrist to assess his condition"
"If his condition is being confirmed as mental breakdown, his sentencing will be lower"
"And the court are still waiting for Sica's medical report"
"Also, to see if she wants to pursue this case further to get compensation"

"Sica unnie would never want one!"
"He's her father after all"

"I know"
"But it's not for me to say and neither would the court believe my words if i were to tell them that"
"They need to hear it from Sica themselves"
"So now, all we need to hope for is Sica's recovery"

Sooyoung said sadly, watching Tiffany feeling extremely stressed out with worry.
Tiffany was quietly sobbing to herself, as she read the time from her watch again.

It has been 5 hours since Jessica got sent into the operating theatre.

Please, Jessi.
It's been 5 hours already..

Please, i'll still be holding onto the hope that you're going to let the surgeons give me some good news.
I needed good news about you.
I needed you to be with me.

I love you, Jessi.
