Tiffany said as she got off Jessica's bed as soon as she heard the bell rang.
Jessica shot her a weak smile and nodded.

Opening the door, Tiffany smiled and brought Dr.Song in.

"Hey, unnie you're here"

Dr.Song entered the house, with a smile as well as her hands with a brown file and a white envelope.

"Here"
"This is a letter for Jessica"

Dr.Song said as she passed the white envelope to Tiffany.
Tiffany stared at the white envelope, with nothing but just Jessica's name written on it.

"Where did you get this?"

"At your doorstep"

Dr.Song replied casually as the two entered the bedroom, only to find Jessica on the bed shivering a little.
Dr.Song sat down concernly and placed her hands over the latter's cheeks and briefly felt for her temperature.

"Jessica, are you okay?"
"It is recommended for you to return back to the hospital you know?"
"Your temperature hasn't show any signs of improvement"

«coughs»

Jessica shook her head and slowly sat up, with the help of Tiffany of course.

"It's okay.."
«coughs»
"It will be.. gone soon.."

Dr.Song sighed as she shook her head.

"Anyway, i've brought the report back here already"
"As well as a set of IV therapy equipment for you"

«coughs»

Tiffany's eyes widened upon hearing the word - 'IV'.

IV is an intravenous therapy whereby medications are given through the veins of a person.
Tiffany's afraid of the big fat needle that is going through it.

"So how's her report?"

Tiffany asked, swallowing a huge amount of saliva down .
Dr.Song opened up the file and read for a few seconds before turning to Tiffany, then Jessica.

"Well, the report shows that she had contracte a serious case of pneunomia"
"Which explains her cough and fever since her lungs were seriously inflammed"
"Inflammation, or infection, in a layman's term, is the cause of high temperature"

I knew it.
But do you have to spell it out that clearly for Tiff?

It's not the first time i've had it.

"Then what should we do?!"

Tiffany panicked.
Jessica smiled and held onto her hands.

«coughs»

"Don't worry, Tiff.."
"It's okay.. will be okay.."

"Okay?!"
"You kidding me?!"

Tiffany exclaimed as she turned to Dr.Song.

"She couldn't even take down anything earlier on unnie"
"She threw up"

Dr.Song wriggled her eyebrows.

"How about i'll give you Vistaril to stop the nauseousness?"

Jessica's eyes widened in shock.

Vistaril?
I've heard about it before.
It hurts and i guess, we'll forget it.

It takes time for me to recover, it's not as if i won't.

"Its okay Dr.Song.."
"I'll take it.. the slower way.."

"You sure?"

Tiffany nodded in agreement.

"Precisely, are you sure Jessi?"

I nodded my head.

"If you don't.. want to see.. me cry.."
«coughs»
"Then.. listen to me.."

Dr.Song nodded her head.

"So you know what's that?"

"Im a forensic.. scientist.."
«coughs»
"I work.. with chemicals and of.. course.."
"Medicines too.."
"In order to solve cases.."

"Oh right"

Tiffany recalled as she brought out the envelope that was received from Dr.Song earlier.

"Here"
"It was found on the doorstep when Dr.Song came over"

Tiffany passed the letter over to Jessica.
Jessica took it over and opened it with a puzzled expression.

Or should i call you the forensic heroes to all your team members and friends?

Tiffany asked concernly as Jessica quickly shove the letter under her pillow,
faking a smile at Tiffany.

"Oh..?"
"Nothing.. just an anonymous letter.."

Jessica replied awkwardly.
Tiffany noticed it, but she didn't want to press Jessica on further.
She wanted Jessica to rest, nothing more than that.

"Okay, if you insist on not telling me"

Tiffany replied as she turned to the door.

"Where.. are you going..?"

"Don't.. leave me.."

Jessica said, as her eyes started to water, attempting to get off the bed.
Thankfully, Dr.Song stopped her in time with a disapproving look.

"Jessica, i need you to stay in bed now"
"You're not supposed to even leave the bed!"

"Tiff.."

Why is Jessi getting all so clingy when she's sick?
I've said i've forgiven her, isn't it?

Jessi, looking at you like this is worrying.
Please, Jessi im just going out to get some drink for unnie and you.

Tiffany turned around and walked over to Jessica,
hugging her tightly, giving her a warm peck on her forehead.

"Baby"
"Listen to me okay?"

Jessica wiped her tears away.

"I don't know why you're so clingy when you're sick"
"But i will NEVER EVER leave you"
"You understand?"
"Unless you've stopped loving me, pushed me away"

Taking a deep breath, Tiffany cupped Jessica in her hands.

"Only then, will i leave you"
"Because then, you will be the one rejecting and pushing me away"
"Now you understand baby?"

Jessica sniffed and nodded.

Tiffany slowly laid Jessica back in bed, pulling the covers over her.

"Baby, wait for me okay?"
"Unnie will hang up the IV for you"
"I'll go out and bring a cup of tea for you and unnie"
"My baby don't cry often, right?"

Tiffany cooed before leaving the room with a heavy heart.

Outside the room, Tiffany whispered under her breath as a tear streaked down her face.

"Princess, i love you"
"Stop tearing up, it hurts me"

Later that night, while Dr.Song left the house,
Tiffany sleeping by Jessica's bedside, Jessica slowly got up from her bed and grabbed her phone.
Dropping a quick text, she snuggled back under the cover and stared at the sleeping Tiffany lovingly.

Jessica then took her hands and slowly separated Tiffany's eyebrows which were creased together.

"Don't frown, baby"
"Smile more"

Jessica whispered softly with a smile.

"Even if i've left"
"Never frown baby"
"Frowning is not the pretty Tiff i've met"

It has been two days.
Three days since Jessica has been missing from work.

Sooyoung had attempted to try and look for Jessica back in her laboratory but was always welcomed by her team members.

"Hara"
"Is Sica back yet?"

Sooyoung asked guiltily, with Yoona behind her.

"Where is Sica unnie?"
"Why is she not at work for so many days!"

Hara shrugged while Seohyun came over.

"Unnie's sick!"
"Because she refused to be admitted to the hospital"
"It will take her a longer time to recover!"

"But, what about the serial killer case?"
"When will she be back to handle it?"
"We've yet to take down her statement and everything"

Sooyoung said, trying to cover her intention of asking about Jessica's condition.
She knew, she was wrong for maligning Jessica.
But she didn't want anyone to know that.

Yoona, from the side then pinched Sooyoung on her arm,
giving Sooyoung a cold hard glare.

"You're dead" 

Yoona mouthed to Sooyoung with an upset expression.

"Sooyoung unnie!"
"I don't care if you're the head prosecutor"
"Or president!"
"But you can't force Sica unnie to be back just for your case!"

Hara protested with a frown.

"It's unfair for her!"
"She has to rest!"

Seohyun added, crossing her arms with a pout.

"You don't know how sick Sica unnie was!"
"We've only seen her that sick only once in the year!"
"Like the same time over and over again!"

Sooyoung kept her head down.

"Sorry, Hara and Seohyun"
"I'll bring Sooyoung unnie back"
"She's just feeling bad inside"

"No problem"

With that, Yoona pulled Sooyoung out of the laboratory,
straight out of the building before letting go of Sooyoung's arm.

"UNNIE!"
"How can you ask about the case instead of your best friend's condition!"
"You didn't even drop her a call of concern and now you're asking her to solve the case!"
"What is wrong with you?!"

"..."

"UNNIE!"

"..."

"Im going to visit Sica unnie"
"It is up to you, to go or not"

Yoona added before storming off.
Sooyoung's head immediately shot up and ran after Yoona.

"I've said, Yong"
"Don't leave my side"

Sooyoung said disappointedly with a sigh as she tagged beside Yoona.

"I TOLD YOU TOO"
"I CAN'T TAKE ANYONE WHO DOESN'T CHERISH HER FRIEND!"
"NOT TO MENTION IT'S HER BEST FRIEND!"

"..."

"SEE?"

"Im just guilty!"
"GUILTY OKAY?!"
"DO YOU EVEN UNDERSTAND?!"

"If you're guilty"
"The more you should visit her instead of avoiding!"
"BUY HER A WHOLE BASKET OF APPLES!"
"Apples are like another form of apology!"

Yoona exasperated helplessly.

"What?"

"What what?!"
"You're not buying?"
"I'll buy!"

Yoona said, giving up as she stormed off with Sooyoung running after her.

An hour later, Yoona and Sooyoung arrived outside Jessica's apartment.
Sooyoung was hesitating whether or not, to enter the apartment with Yoona.
Until they heard some shoutings from the house.

"JUNG JESSICA!"
"STOP RIGHT THERE!"

Yoona turned to Sooyoung and shot her a puzzled look.
Sooyoung shrugged while pressed for the bell.
Within seconds, the door shot open with Tiffany standing by the door with an upset expression.

"What are you doing here?"

Tiffany spat as soon as she saw Sooyoung.

"I thought she was no longer your best friend?"
"What are you doing here?"
"To see if she's dead or not?"

Sooyoung's head fell low.
Yoona looked apologetic and gave TIffany a 90 degrees bow.

"We are really sorry Tiffany"
"We are here to visit Jessica"

Yoona spoke up.
Just then, Jessica's head popped out of nowhere, under Tiffany's arms.
Tiffany huffed and pulled Jessica's collar up with an upset expression.

"JUNG JESSICA!"
"HOW MANY TIMES MUST I SAY YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE BED!"
"I TOLD YOU, BED AND NO WORK!"

Tiffany scolded helplessly.

«coughs»
"What..?"
"Tiff.."
"Please..?"

Jessica begged with puppy eyes.

"My friends.."

Jessica added as she pointed to Sooyoung and Yoona who were by the door timidly.
Tiffany rolled her eyes in disgust.

"Your friends?"
"They werent even bothered three days ago when you were so sick!"
"And now?"

«coughs»
"But they are here now.."
«coughs»

"Im serious Jessi"
"Go back to bed"
"You've not taken your medicine since this morning"
"Don't think i've got no idea that you skipped it"

Tiffany told Jessica off firmly.
Actually, Tiffany only wanted Jessica to get well.

"Don't forget that you're still running a fever"

Jessica sighed as she waved a short goodbye to Sooyoung and Yoona,
mouthing them 'SORRY' before walking back to the room with a dejected backview.

At least, at least i know Yoona's fine.
And Sooyoung's doing well with Yoona.
That's all i need to know, isn't it?

Fever?
Cough?
Pneunomia?

All is good as long as you, Tiff and my friends are safe and sound.

"We're really sorry, Tiffany"
"Sooyoung's really sorry"
"Look, we've bought fruits as a form of apology"
"Let us visit Sica unnie please?"

Tiffany shook her head and was about to shut the door when Sooyoung spoke up.

Sooyoung,
you owe Jessi a good apology, don't you think so?
Making Yoona apologise, does that even make sense?

"Tiffany.."

Sooyoung started awkwardly, heads looking down on the ground.

"Talk to me in my face?"
"Or to the ground?"

Sooyoung looked up, eyes getting a little teary.

"Im sorry, Tiffany"
"Those words that day, i didn't mean it"
"I promise, i didn't"
"It's just that i was too concern over Yoona's condition"

"You're too concern?"
"How could you even push someone that precious away and onto the ground like that?!"
"How could you?!"
"She's the most precious person i could ever ask for!"
"To think that to you, Yoona's the most precious and you should be able to understand how i feel!"
"Isn't it so?!"
"AND YOU PUSHED HER RIGHT ONTO THE GROUND INFRONT OF ME!"
"RIGHT INFRONT OF MY EYES!"
"HOW DOES THAT FEEL TO YOU IF I PUSH YOONA DOWN ONTO THE GROUND WHEN SHE IS SICK AND WEAK?!"

Tiffany exclaimed in tears, venting her anger on Sooyoung.
The hurt that was building up in Tiffany's heart finally exploded.
Jessica then stepped out again with a sigh, wrapping her arms around Tiffany's waist.

"Baby, im fine"
"Don't cry, okay?"

Jessica cooed as she wiped the tears off Tiffany's eyes.

"It was my fault and no one's fault"
"Don't cry baby, im sorry"

Sooyoung stood by the side with her heads facing the ground guiltily.

"Sooyoung, come in"

"It's okay, Yoona you too come in"

Jessica added as she brought Tiffany down onto the sofa and calmed her down.
Jessica smiled to Tiffany and rubbed her nose against Tiffany.
Tiffany's lips then curved into a wide smile again.

"Im sorry, okay?"

"Don't cry over me"

Jessica said with a pout.

Tiffany chuckled as she excused herself to the kitchen to get some drinks for Yoona and Sooyoung.

"Sica.."
"Mianeh.."

Sooyoung blurted out when Tiffany was back in the kitchen.
Pushing the basket of apples towards Jessica's side, Yoona added,

"Unnie's really sorry"
"She's been popping by your laboratory everyday to look for you"
"Forgive her, please?"

Jessica smiled and pulled Sooyoung's hands over her warm hands.
Sooyoung was initially shocked at that pair of beyond an average temperature one should have.

Walking to the kitchen, she went to look for Tiffany.

"Are you feeling very unwell?"
"Do you need me to call unnie here again?"

Jessica shook her head as she held onto the table for support.

Tiffany cooed as she put her index finger over Jessica's lips to shut her up.

Jessica nodded disappointedly as Tiffany helped her out, back to her bed.
It was then, Jessica caught Sooyoung and Yoona's attention.

The both of them rushed into the room with Jessica and Tiffany.
Instead, Jessica forced a smile.

"Im really sorry for causing you to be in this state"

Sooyoung burst into tears.

Tiffany looked surprised but nodded in the end and exited the room with Yoona.
Jessica sighed as she sat up from her bed, pulling out the note she received two nights ago.

Sooyoung picked up the paper and read.
As she got further, her eyes widened in shock.

"Three days?!"

Jessica nodded with a sigh.

"And today.. is the second, Soo.."
"We need to capture him.."

"I know, but we don't even have any clues!"

Sooyoung exasperated.

"We must have Soo.."
"If not.. one more innocent-"

Sooyoung nodded with a frown.

"Anyone might be in danger.."

"Im sending Tiff off.."

Sooyoung nodded and stood up quickly.

"I'll do it right away with Yoona"
"Then, i'll leave first and you rest well okay?"
"We're waiting for you to return back to the team"

Jessica smiled and nodded.
