"WATCH OUT!"

Before i could turn around, i felt a hard push over on my back.
I fell onto the ground harshly.

I turned around, but to see Jessi drenched from head to toe.
Jessi came over quickly and pulled me up, dusting things off my clothes.
She appeared apologetic for pushing me away onto the ground like that.
It doesn't matter, Jessi really.

I didn't mind.
I know you are protecting me.

"You okay Tiff?"
"Sorry for-"

Im fine, Jessi.
Don't worry..
Im just shocked.

"YAH WATCH OUT!"

This time round, Jessi had her arms around my waist, falling onto the ground away with me.
A loud thud was being heard.
A body covered me in such a protective manner that i couldn't see or feel anything except for the warm security around me.

I feel so warm.

I took a peek out of Jessi's embrace,
and there it laid a lifeless body infront of us.

A body..?
A body..?!
A DEAD BODY?!

OHMYGOD.
Why do i have to see such a gory scene on such a sweet white Christmas?!

"Jessi.."

Jessi..
Please don't leave me..

Im scared..

Crowds started gathering around us.

"Tiff?"
"Are you okay?"

I felt someone brushing my hair aside.
I didn't know who it was.
I just wanted to be in Jessi's arms.

Im afraid, Jessi.
Please don't, don't leave me here alone.

"I was about to ask you Soo"
"Why did you leave her alone?!"
"Did you know she's been caught by that sick killer?!"
"What have i told the two of you earlier on?!"

"He killed another one again"

"You get your team here for investigation"

I felt this wet yet warm pair of arms bringing me over her shoulder,
pulling me to a corner.

Im away from the body now.
Feeling so much safer.

"Shhh.."
"Tiff, Tiff look at me"
"Look at me"

Jessi cupped my face in her warm hands,
forcing my eyes to go straight into contact with hers.

I don't know why but tears started welling up in my eyes.
Before i know it, it started pouring out of my eyes.

"Jessi.."
"That person.."
"Fell.. down like.. that.."

"Shh.."
"I know i know"
"It's going to be okay"
"Im here Tiff"
"I am, don't cry, don't worry"
"I'll be here to take care of you"
"I'll protect you"

"Jessi.."
"Im scared.."

Please, don't leave me Jessi.

What if someone or something falls down again..?

A warm hand came over to my forehead.
Jessi then gave me a hug, carressing my back gently,
hoping to ease my fear for a short moment i guess.

The time seemed to be passing so slowly.
Why isn't Jessi bringing me home yet..?

Just then, i heard a like squeaky jerk.
I turned a little and saw a car pulling up against the side of the crime scene.
Stepping out of the car were a pale, emotionless Sooyoung.
I know her..
She is Jessi's friend..

Jessi then pulled me up and helped me to Sooyoung's car.
Laying me down onto the seat, i heard the shuffles sound of a paper bag.

"Soo, you need to get hold of yourself"

"How do you expect me to?!"
"Look over there!"

"Yoona's being caught!"
"Yoona might ended up like that deceased victim and she is totally innocent!"
"How could i stay calm?!"

I heard a thud.
Someone or something must have fell onto the ground.
No..
The thud it.. sounded similar to the.. previous one..
Jus that it is softer..

It can't be.. 
It can't be another case of..
Of someone falling off from that tall building..

Jessi then came back up,
upcapped a bottle of mineral water, popping few pills from the medicine pack and slowly pushed it into my mouth,
urging me to swallow it with the mineral water.

"Tiff, i want you to close your eyes"
"And rest now"
"I'll be just right outside, okay?"

I shivered at the sudden cool touch on my forehead.
It's so cold.
But im tired, my eyelids are getting heavy.

"My baby has to rest now, okay?"

As i close my eyes, i heard a loud coughing fit.
It sounded as if it came from Jessi.

Are you sick Jessi?
Is it because of me?

"Tiff?"

The angelic voice.
The angelic voice that i've always wanted to hear whenever i wake up every morning.
For days, i've been waking up to this voice.

I opened my eyes slowly but Jessi sat there infront of me,
with an extremely worried expression.

"Jessi..?"

I literally jumped onto Jessi,
wrapped my arms around her tightly.

I started sobbing.
I've been crying so much recently.

"Tiff"
"Don't cry, all is fine"
"Im here, don't worry" 

I don't know why..
But the whole scene happened last night..
Just replayed and replayed in my head.
Again and again.
I want to wash it out.

I want to.
I really do.

"Jessi.."
"Why..?"

"Why?"

"Why wh-"

Jessi turned around, back hunched over with her hands over .
She is coughing.

My Jessi is sick.

"Why what Tiff?"

"Why was there.."
"Who was it..?"

I really wanted to know what is going on.
Who is the killer and what does he want.

"Who?"
«coughs»
"Who do you mean?"
"The culprit or the victim?"

"Both.."

Jessi let out a sigh.

"Tiff, i don't want to lie to you"
"The culprit has yet to be found"
«coughs»
"It's the same old culprit for the previous case"
"As for the victim, we need to find out"
"Or maybe, for me"

My gaze dropped.
That sick culprit.
That sick killer.

I hate it.
I hate Jessi's job.
I hate her job.
I hate the fact that her job is putting her in such grave danger.

I hate it.

"Tiff, are you okay?"

"Can you just.."
"Just hug me for now, Jessi?"

I just needed a hug from you now Jessi.
Nothing more.

Everything is running through my mind.
I just wanted you to be safe because we're back.

"Im sorry, Tiff"

Jessi whispered softly into my ears.

"Im sorry for causing you to be in this plight"
"Why not you go back to LA?"

Go back to LA?
You're chasing me back to LA when things like these happened?
I'll just ignore this first.

Jessi, you're coughing so badly.
I broke the hug and placed my hand over her forehead.
You're burning up.

"Now you're sick"
"And you want to push me back to LA?"
"Im never going to leave, i've made that promise to myself"

"But it's dangerous, Tiff"

What is dangerous?
You're in a much more dangerous position than me.

"Seoul, Korea is never safe like how it used to be"
"Until this culprit is being captured, nothing is confirmed"

I pushed Jessi back down onto the bed, pulling the covers over her.
I don't want to listen to her words any further.
It's redundant.

Don't know how to take care of herself.

And, it is her body, her health.

"It's time for me to take care of you, Jessi"
"You're sick"

Jessi shook her head and got up from the bed, a little wobbily.

Ohgod.
Jessi, why are you always so stubborn?
Can't you listen to me for once like how i've did when i was sick days ago?

"Tiff, i have to get back to the office now"
"Can you come over with me?"

"I don't want to leave you alone at home"

I then cup her head in my warm hands,
rubbing my nose against hers.

"I'll go with you for sure"

"Are you sure you're going to work?"

I really hoped the answer is a 'NO'.

"Come on, wash up"

Jessi said, smacking my lightly, 
urging me to get to the bathroom.

That byunsic.
I missed that actually.

"Stop hitting my !"
"Since when have you became such a byuntae Jessi!"

"Jessi"

"Jessi.."
"Are you okay?"

I shook Jessi a little.
She looked really under weather.
Her face were running out of colour.

"Mmm.."
"Im fine.. you're done?"

I frowned and placed my palm over her forehead.

"This is getting worse"
"Jessi, let's go to the doctor"
"Okay?"

She shook her head and stood up, wobbled a little.
I held onto her waist tightly.

"This is not going to work, Jessi"
"You need to at least take some medicine"

You need a doctor too..

"I took.. a few just now.."
"When you were.. asleep.."

"Thats when im asleep"
"Let me count.."

"It's been 9 hours Jessi!"

It's been already 9 hours!
You should have taken the next course of medicine Jessi!

I said firmly with a pout and plopped down onto the bed,
with my arms crossed.

Jessi sighed and sat down beside me,
holding onto my hands.

"How can i not promise to my pinky princess, can i?"

"Promise?"

Jessi nodded tiredly.

"Pinky promise?"

I had my pinky stretched out to her and she did the same in return.

"Okay, our pinky princess wants a pinky promise"

Our pinkys were locked onto each other.
Releasing it seconds later, Jessi turned to me.

"So tell me now?"

"Doctor"
"You're going to the doctor with me after working"
"If not, i'll call for a doctor"

I guess i sounded firm.
But i need her to visit the doctor.
She's totally not in the right condition to even work.

Jessi frowned a little but nodded in the end.

"Okay"

"Can we go now?"

Entering the laboratory with Jessi, i realised that the whole laboratory was already filled with people,
all busy working and moving around different stations,
focused on their on posts, working hard.

That tense atmosphere.

"Hey"

"Unnie!"
"You're back!"

"We thought you weren't coming in today!"

"I-"
«coughs»
"I was caught up with something"
"That's all"

"Ohh.."
"Who is.. that..?"

The girl with really straight beautiful hair asked curiously, pointing to me.

"Hara, this is Tiffany"

Oh, so she is Hara?

"In short, Tiff"

"She's gonna be here today, so if you could"
"Entertain her a little, i need to go and look for Sooyoung"
"You know the seriousness of this case"

Wait..
I don't need anyone to entertain me!

Hara nodded and reached out for me.
She appeared really kind and innocent i guess.

"Come over, Tiff unnie"
"You can do whatever you want here while you wait for Sica unnie"

"Tiff, i'll be back soon"
"Don't worry but if you feel tired, just rest inside my room"

I want to bring you to the doctors.

"Hara and Seohyun, i'll pass Tiff to you"
"Take care of her and not let anyone strange enter this laboratory"
"It's on a high risk security now"

Hours passed.
It has been 5 hours.
Where is Jessi?

Everyone in the laboratory seemed to have completed their work,
resting on their seats, as if they are ready to go any time soon.

I tried calling Jessi's phone but it was directed to the voicemail.
Im worried..

Jessi, i need your voice to tell me that you're safe.
The sun is setting, and you're not back yet.
The clinic is going to close soon.

Letting out a sigh, i walked towards Hara with a tensed up expression.

"Hara.."
"Err.."

"Yup unnie?"

Hara turned her chair around and threw me a sweet smile.

"Where is Jessi..?"
"It's been 5 hours already.."

Hara chuckled.

"You're missing our head now?"

What?
Do you have to point it out so obviously?!
I bet my facing is blushing now.

"I mean.."
"Err.."

Seohyun smiled and walked over to me.

"Don't worry, Tiff unnie"
"Sica unnie's meeting might be a little longer than usual"
"The longest meeting she had with Sooyoung was 12 hours"

12 hours?!

"What?!"
"12 hours?!"
"Don't you guys need any rest?"

Hara chuckled.

"Well, we need"
"We aren't any robots"
"But sometimes, our jobs are as such that we don't have enough time to rest"
"We're working hand in hand with the prosecutors to bring peace and justice to our country"

"It's all worth it when the villians are put behind the bars or receiving the appropriate punishment that they should get"

Woah.

Is that the reason why Jessi refused to give up this job?
Refused to leave Korea and look for me in LA?

Or is it that her feelings weren't as strong as it is in the past for me?
Or is it that she thought..

But if it is true..
Jessi wouldn't have taken care of me,

I pulled the violin out from the under desk of Jessi's.
Opening the case up, flashing the ever so attractive violin.

It was attractive two years ago.
And now, it is still as attractive.

Closing my eyes, placing the violin over my shoulders,
my hand holding onto the bow just moved automatically.

The melody just flowed out of my violin so naturally that i didn't realised that my music.
The melody was so sad, missing someone so badly.

Jessica's POV

Leaving the laboratory and entering Sooyoung's office,
i found the tall shikshin, laid all over the table asleep.

In her sleep, she was even frowning.
Her cheeks were wet from her tears.

"Soo?"

"..."

"Soo..?"
"Wake up, im here"

I touched her head, carressing her hair gently.
Sooyoung was finally stirring.

I then picked up the new files on Sooyoung's desk.

"Sica?!"
"Do you have any news of Yoona?!"

The grabbing hurts, Soo.
You have to get hold of yourself, really.

"You're hurting me"

Soo's head dropped and kept quiet as she released the grasps.

"Im sorry.."

Sooyoung whispered softly and retreated away from me.

"Hey, don't be"
"It's-"

"Sorry, i mean it's okay"
"I understand how you're feeling now"
"Really, Soo"

"Sica.."
"Yoona.. i miss her"

Shikshin, my head is spinning and im not feeling very well.

towards the carpark lobby to meet up with the rest of Soo's team.

The rest of the team nodded.

Nicole stopped me in my tracks, pulling me aside with a frown.

Nicole pulled her bullet proof vest out and passed it to me.
Her expression is a little.. upset?

"You better wear it"
"I don't want our leader to be blaming me if you're going to get hurt"

I smiled tiredly and pushed the vest back to her.
I know Nicole always had something against me.
I knew that months after i've started working here with Sooyoung.

She used to treat me really well.
Until one day, she started being cold towards me.
Up till today, i've never gotten a chance to ask her because i've been working more closely with Soo and Yoona instead of Nicole.

"It's okay Nicole-sshi"
"You're Sooyoung and Yoona's best assistant"
"I wouldn't want their best assistant to be hurt nor be in any dangerous position when they recover back from their position"

"You can keep it"

Nicole frowned at the bullet proof vest.

"Hey, stop looking at it, Nicole-sshi"
"We've to hurry if we want to save Yoona"

I told her with a smile, giving her shoulder a light encouraging pat before moving to the car.
Settling myself in the passenger seat, Nicole came in moments later.

"Are you sure our Yoona is gonna be there?"
"And are you okay?"

Nicole asked while driving towards the isolated place.
It is a really isolated area after being abandoned years ago.

'Night Howl Road'

This road name.
Everyone in born in Korea will know where it is.
Because it was rumoured to be haunted, thus abandoned years ago after a chain of weird happenings happened there.

I knew Nicole was feeeling awkward, asking if i was okay since she has been really cold towards me for more than a year now.
I nodded tiredly.

"Don't worry, im fine"
"Im pretty sure she is there"

I don't even know why am i so sure that Yoona is there.
Sixth sense, i guess?

"That place.."
"Isn't it haunted that's why it got abandoned?"

Haunted?
If only you believe in it, will ghost exists.

"Yoona has always been afraid of ghost"
"Hasn't she?"

Nicole's right.
How could i have overlooked this part?!

"Nicole-sshi"
"Would you mind driving faster?"
"I've a bad feeling about it"

Nicole nodded and used one of her hands to grab the police siren and placed it over their car,
and sped off.

Upon arriving,I mentally hit myself with a wok on my head.
I was too dumb.
Look at the numbers of abandoned building here, how could i find Yoona so easily?

"Jessica-sshi?"

Nicole called me, pointing to those old buildings infront of us.

"Nicole-sshi, i want you all to form up in groups of 4"
"And move around the place, to different building to search for Yoona"

"But please bear in mind, safety comes first than the hostage"
"I don't know what's going happen here"
"Please be on full alert, you understand?"
«coughs»

Nicole and the team nodded.
Within seconds, they are all in different groups.

«coughs»
"What about you?"

"Me?"
"Im going there"
«coughs»

I said, pointing to the furthest end of a building.
I don't understand why, but the gut feeling inside me is telling me to head to the building.
There is definitely something for me inside.

"Alone?"
"It is going to be real dangerous"

«coughs»
"It's okay, i will try to be careful"
"Don't worry about me"
«coughs»

But instead, Nicole shook her head firmly and sent the groups off before turning back to me.

"Im going with you"

I couldn't reject, i gave a nod in the end.
To be honest, im really tired.

My body is aching so badly, my head is spinning and hurting.
All i needed now is a warm shower and bed.

We walked back to back towards the building.
Entering the building, there was a spilt second when a chilling breeze blew at us.

That sure is creepy.
But no!

There is no ghosts in the world.
Ghosts don't exists in scientific world like ours.

"Full alert"

I whispered to Nicole which she responded with a nod.

My semester is ending in a months' time so i've been really busy nowadays with school.
Here's a brand new update, hope it isnt disappointing though.

She passed out after LB, i mean officially passed out and not during the performance.
Falling because she wasnt feeling well and passing out is different alright?

Im thinking is it my fault to have always written about her, falling ill etc that's why she is sick now.
