Donghae left Jessica. It was over, or so he said. Still, Jessica clinged onto the memories and was never over him. And there's Yuri, who had loved Jessica this whole time.

“I’m home!” Jessica said as she entered the apartment she was sharing with Donghae, her boyfriend. The blonde girl just got home from work and was very tired. She hoped there would be food waiting for her, and that the air-conditioner was on.

“Darling?” She called again but no answer. The apartment was dark. Something wasn’t right. She reached for the switch nearby and turned the lights on. It was complete silence. Jessica got worried and went to look for Donghae in all the rooms but the guy was nowhere to be found. She went to their bedroom and saw Donghae’s belongings gone.

“What the” She frowned and her heart started to race. She sprang open the wardrobe and was confirmed that her boyfriend had somehow left. Like gone. Seriously gone. Not trolling.

Jessica was still shocked and puzzled when she found a letter on the pillow.

Baby,

I am really sorry for leaving like this, without a proper goodbye. I was afraid that if I had to face you, I wouldn’t  be able to go.

By now when you’re reading this, I am probably already on the plane back to the States. My father wanted me to come back home to be married to this girl whose father will save mine’s dying company.

Therefore, let’s break up. There’s nothing I can do. There’s nothing we can do. Please forget about me and move on. I love you. But this is it. That’s it for us. I’m sorry. I have to fulfill my duty as the only son of the family.

I honestly did not want to tell you about all these, but you deserve to know. I know you’ll be hurt so much more than I am, but you deserve to know what’s going on and why.

I can’t say sorry enough. Right now I just want to hug you tightly and never let you go. You know how much I love you and all the things we’ve been through. But I have to do this. I don’t seek your forgiveness, but please understand.

Jessica Jung sweetie, my girlfriend. Let me call you that for this one last time. I love you. I’ll always have this special spot for you in my heart.

Tears were streaming down Jessica’s face as she finished reading the letter. The poor girl read it over and over again, repeating the paragraphs over and over again. It took her awhile to fully understand what the letter said. And it took her forever, to accept what it said.
