Chap. 6~
Still With YouAfter they finished the shopping Junsu took Chansung on a small tour of the town. “Vic asked me to show you a couple of the important places that we go to often. So just follow me.” He lead the way to first the pharmacy. “Here’s the pharmacy.” He pointed to a small building that was about a block away from the convenient store. “This is where we get out medicine and other first aide needs.”
“I know what pharmacies are for.” Chansung scoffed joking seeming offended. Junsu playfully nudged the taller one on the side with his elbow before moving on.
They walked along the river that ran through the town. “If you follow the river up-stream it’ll take you to the hospital.” Junsu lingered a bit longer just staring at the building, and Chansung could only guess why.
“They told you, right.” Junsu spoke up after a brief silence, catching the other off guard. “Who told me what?” Chansung tried his best not make it obvious that he knew what the other was talking about.
“Don’t worry. I know Nichkhun talks more than he needs to.” Junsu let out a small laugh turning away from the hospital building. “Let’s get going.”
“Go see him…” Chansung blurted out, not really thinking before saying anything.
Junsu stopped walking and looked over to Chansung who was rubbing the back of his neck nervously. “I mean… We’re already here, so why not?”
Chansung notice how much Junsu’s face lit up with his suggestion even if he tried to hide it. “I should huh?” Junsu took four steps before stopping to reconsider. “No, I shouldn’t. Vic is waiting for us.” He said walking four steps back.
“Just a short visit wouldn’t kill you. Come on, let’s go.” Chansung grabbed his hand and stared pulling him towards the building. “W-wait! What are you doing?!”
Ignoring his protest Chansung continued to pull and in a matter of minutes they were waiting in the lobby.
“Mr. Kim, you may go in now.” The nurse called over. Chansung just gave the other a cheeky grin as he walked towards the room.
Junsu lightly knocked on the door. “Come in Junsu.” A raspy called. Junsu walked in closing the door half way before he sat by his father’s side.
“Hey dad, how are you feeling?” Junsu asked with a soft voice.
“Feeling alright, not great but alright.” He smiled a weak smile. “How is Junho?”
“He’s good. I’d take him here to visit you, but you know how he can be if we tried to take him away. I hope you understand.” The tone in his voice fell.
“I understand, I hope he’s behaving for Victoria and Nichkhun.” Junsu just nodded with a smile returning. “He likes them a lot, and he gets along with the other kids too.”
Junsu’s father smiled too. “That’s good, I’m very grateful to both of them. How is work? I hope you aren’t pushing yourself.”
Junsu gave his dad a look of disbelief, “I can’t believe you think that! Work is going well; I even picked up another job.” He told his father trying to sound as optimistic as he could.
But his father knew better and let out a heavy sigh. “Junsu, you’re pushing yourself too hard. I understand that you’re trying to be responsible and take care of everything, but just remember that you have your own life to live too.” He wrapped one of Junsu’s hands in both of his, giving his son a warm smile. “I want you to be happy. Promise me you’ll ease up on all this work, ok?”
“Ok, I will.” Junsu returned the smile as he leaned over placing a kiss on his father’s forehead. “I’ve got to get going dad; I’ll see you when I’m in town again. Take care of yourself.” Junsu placed a kiss on his dad’
