─ Chapter Three;

It had been about two month since Ae Young arrived at the orphanage and everything was going pretty well. 

Ae Young walked into the dinning room to be greeted by all her other kids already in their seats chatting away as they waited for breakfast to be served. Ae Young quickly walked down the aisle way to her seat. To her surprise Howon wasn’t there to great her like he always did. She shrugged slightly and sat down in her seat as the cooks came out with the food.

After breakfast was done Ae Young walked out to where most of her time waiting for class to start. The hidden bench she found the first day she arrived.

She sat down on the bench and looked around at the empty silence that was usually occupied by Howon’s nonstop talking. She frowned to herself wondering where Howon was. It was odd that she wondered where he was for most of the time she wanted him to be quiet.

The bell rang three times letting the kids know it was time for class. Ae Young hopped off the bench and quickly made her way through the open field of grass to the classroom.

When she arrived in there she still didn’t see Howon anywhere and sat down at her desk in the back of the room. Usually Howon would walk with her to the class and take his seat next to her, but he wasn’t there. Her mind wandered off to where he could be as class started.

At the end of class Ae Young walked up to her teacher.

“Miss Jung,” Ae Young said quietly.

“Yes?” she asked as she turned around and saw Ae Young, “Oh, Ae Young. What can I help you with?”

“Do you… know where Howon is?” Ae young asked softly.

“Howon? Ah, you haven’t heard. He’s sick today,” she told her.

“Oh. Thank you Miss Jung,” Ae Young said as she bowed
