Baby Steps

Description

"Why are you giving up?" Kyuhyun scolded Sungmin for throwing his crutches on the floor.

"I... I..."

"Polio isn't death, hyung. Believe in yourself. " Kyuhyun held on Sungmin's hands and put them on his chest. "And me."

"Kyuhyun-ah... I want to walk..." Sungmin bursted into tears and lean on Kyuhyun. He leaned on his shoulder and cried. 

"Gwaenchana-ya, hyung..." Kyuhyun hugged his hyung tightly and allow his tears to roll down his cheeks. "We'll take the baby steps together, one by one, until you can do it yourself. I'll be there for you forever..."

 

Foreword

Inspritated by a song, alright, TTS's "Baby Steps!"

Not by the lyrics like LCE (Which I'm not done yet...), but the title. 

I know you guys' are like: ._O.           -_-

Chapter 1: It was sad...T_T

I wanted a bit more details on his polio to really feel the authenticity of his suffering. I'm not asking for medical jargon and stuff just I wish there was a bit more history or details of his present life.

You sort of breezed over his relationship with Kyu. A little more detail on their story would have really brought it home how much Kyu's acceptance and then support of him played a big role in his road to autonomy.

The ending..was well...tragically good. The unexepcted loss of this big support would lead us to wonder if Sungmin could overcome such a blow or stand and continue his life as Kyu would have wanted.
