You weren't exactly a normal, healthy person. You were born healthy of course, but not exactly well. Your hearing is born weak. you can't really hear voices, even though its loud. Anything further than 1metre, you can't hear it. What you hear when its within 1 metre? Faint voices. Thats how worse it can get. But lucky for you, it only happens once in awhile.
