For her eight blind date, _________ met the guy in the club as per his request.

That ended with her wanting to go home early because the guy kept making her drink alcohol and then continuously glance at her lips, chest and legs. He even offered her to dance which she obliged to but he kept getting too close. Talk about being uncomfortable.

“Is it too crowded in here? Should we head out to a more secluded place?” He even tried to convince her to come back to his place for some ‘private’ clubbing experience.

“I think it’s time to end the night.”  A guy intervened and ________ couldn’t have been any happier. He came right on time. She called Taecyeon earlier to ask him if he could pick her up because the guy just wouldn’t let her go.

“Chill man, this is my date.” He scoffed and tried to put his arm around _________'s waist to show possession but she stepped aside, obviously rejecting his advances.

“And I believe I can clearly see her not enjoying your company.” Taecyeon just proved his point before leading ________ out of the place.

“The nerve of that guy.” Taecyeon apologized at ________ for the guy’s behavior. He shouldn’t have followed his friend’s referral knowing that clubbing for the first date isn’t really a good idea. You can practically guess the intentions he had.

“It’s okay. It’s not your fault.” 

Feeling comfortable in your au natural state is a sign that you can be vulnerable around him. It’s not just about looking attractive, because that’s really all about how you feel about yourself, it’s about being able to be yourself.

“Come on, let’s get some food. I’m pretty sure the snacks from the bar didn’t fill you up.”

“Yes please.” _________ couldn't have agreed faster.

Taecyeon drove them to one of the tent bars nearby for street food since it’s already late at night. Even though it's such a casual place, he still pulls the chair for her. “When are you going to stop impressing me?” She joked, half-heartedly. She has realized a while back that she's being swooned by him, whether or not he knows it.

“So I’m really going to need a name now. We better make your next date the best.” Taecyeon told ________ before taking a bite of his food.

“I don’t have anyone. You know you’re the only guy that I ever became close with.” _________ tried to play if off in a cool manner. 

“You must have someone that you really like. I’ll try to make it happen. Trust me.” Taecyeon persisted to convince her. “Come on, I don’t want this to dent my record.” He joked to lighten the mood but ________ only looked at him with a hesitant expression. “I knew it, there is someone! Tell me, who is it?”

_________ inhaled deeply before asking him if he really wanted to know.

"It's you.” She whispered without looking at him. There, she finally confessed.

"I'm sorry?" Taecyeon was confused, unsure whether he heard her correct.

“It's you.” Yes…she has fallen for her supposedly dating coach. He was only supposed to teach her about love and loving herself and set her up with good guys yet look where they are now. She eventually fell for him as they bonded hours for months to 'upgrade' herself. Can you blame her? When all they talked about was things that really mattered, outside the dating realm that is. He made her see her inner beauty. Not to mention he’s really dashing and he had a sense of humor.

Taecyeon was dazed for a bit before he was able to give out a response.

"You only feel that way because the past guys are not good enough, not to mention the last one was an ."

"Let’s just end it here." _________ mumbled and then played with her food, suddenly losing her appetite.

For the first time since they met, the two parted awkwardly that night.

________ didn't feel like going on her ninth date. How could she when she already realized that she has feelings for someone else? Taecyeon didn't even call her anymore. He just sent her a text message about the guy, assuring her that he's a great candidate. But a contract is a contract, thus she had to go to the second to last date.

A guy with a smile like sunshine and angelic eyes connected with hers as soon as she entered the restaurant.

"Hi, I'm Nichkhun. It's a pleasure to meet you." 

Why did she somehow hope that Taecyeon would take a chance on her and be her final date? She just wanted to end all the chase and cross the finish line together, expecting it to be him. But Taecyeon was a professional. He kept his word and stuck with his end of the bargain

Although there are times that her mind wanders off, _________ already knows that Nichkhun is a catch. He seems like a genuinely great guy. He kept encouraging her to talk about herself as he wanted to really get to know her and they found out that they had a lot in common.

Unknown to them that Taecyeon was actually in the restaurant observing them. Even though Nichkhun is a close friend that he trusted, he still wanted to be there to watch a bit...well maybe just to see _________. It's been a week since they last saw each other, ever since she confessed. Truthfully, he did not know how to handle that.

An unfamiliar feeling crept up as he saw ________ having a good time…it was something he hasn't encountered with his previous clients. And then it hit him…he was jealous, envious of the guy was currently making her smile. Taecyeon forced himself to leave right after finishing his drink. He had a lot on his mind and home is the only way to go.

"I hope we can see each other again." Nichkhun said as he gave ________ a hug for their goodbye. Although he was close to being the perfect man out of the bunch, _________ knew she wouldn’t be contacting him anytime soon.

"What have you got to lose? They said. It was too late when I realized that it's my heart that is on the line. This is exactly why I didn’t want to do this…I didn’t want to get hurt. One sided love…an unrequited one yet again. How to fall in love? More like, how do I fall out of love? Should I just give up?" ________ sighed to herself as she plopped down on her bed. Of course these are words that she won't say out loud. She wonders what Taecyeon thinks of her now.

"This is why we don’t need men. They complicate things" __________ talked about it lightly as if it was just a joke when she expressed this to her friends.

“Then this is our final request, go on one last date. One that we personally arranged.” Hyosung urged her friend.
"You guys..." She whined.

"Please. Promise, we'll shut up after and not do anything anymore. You did agree to have ten dates." Yoonji reminded her.

“Fine, it’s not like I have a choice, right?” ________ stopped arguing knowing that she’ll eventually lose to them in the end.

Taecyeon took a deep breath before putting his finger on her doorbell and took another second to think twice before finally pressing on the buzzer.

_________ still had an hour before she would start preparing for her date. She was just checking something on her laptop when she got an unexpected visitor in her apartment.

_________ was surprised to see Taecyeon in front of her. It didn’t help that he looked great, as always while she…well she’s at her most comfortable state. She was back in glasses, hair in a bun and still in her loungewear.

“What are you doing here?” __________ asked, confused as to why Taecyeon suddenly showed up. “Oh wait, are you here to prep me for my final date tonight?”

“I don’t know how to start but…I’m not confident that I can change your mind after how I reacted but please give me one more chance.” Taecyeon had a serious look on his face and ________ didn’t know how to take that.

“I get it. You’re not into me. You don’t have to be so excited to push me to my last date.” She sarcastically said.

“You know what, maybe we should listen to the song that currently describes my feelings.” Taecyeon took his phone out and offered ________ his headphones. She looked at him skeptically and he had to mouth the word ‘please’ before she took it from him. He then started playing 2PM’s ‘Come back when you hear this song.’, a song he’s dedicating to the girl standing in front of him.

_________ listened intently to the lyrics of the song yet she wasn’t sure what Taecyeon meant when he said that it’s the song that depicts how he feels at the moment.

Taecyeon spoke the moment the song ended. “I don’t know why I didn’t say this last time but I’m sorry. I know why I was wrong and I want to come clean. I’m not blind, I know you’re a keeper and I feel the same for you. I just didn’t want to acknowledge it because I thought you deserve someone better. I know, I know, I’m going opposite n all my advices to you before. I just didn’t think it was right for me to date you when I was supposed to introduce you to guys who can ensure you a happy love-filled future.” He quickly explained his side, not really defending himself since he knows how bad it all sounded.

“So you forgot about freewill and decided on your own that our true feelings for each other didn’t matter because you thought there’s someone else better for me?” _________ confirmed if what she understood was correct.

Taecyeon could only sheepishly nod.

“You know, I hate to burst your bubble but for a dating coach you can be pretty slow in love.” _________ crossed her arms over her chest and shook her head at him, as if she’s disappointed in him.

“Then please be my love coach. I know we can both learn from each other. Honestly, I didn’t know I was looking for love until I found you.” Taecyeon didn’t beat around the bush anymore, he went straight to point knowing that this maybe his last shot in proving himself.

“But…what about my final date tonight?”

“Well…truth is, I actually asked your friends for their approval and I am your date…that’s if you’d still like me to take you out?” Taecyeon revealed another fun fact for today, his hopeful smile on full display. Yes, he had to ask her friends to help him out when he realized things a bit too late. Fortunately her friends agreed as they also though that the two match each other.

_________’s heart swelled and she couldn’t help but smile as he revealed the plan he conspired with her friends.

“How can I say no to that toothy grin of yours?”

Taecyeon quickly closed his mouth, thinking that maybe that his big- smile is a turn-off because his friends used to about it but _________ quickly read his signal.

“Don’t hide it, that’s one of the things I like about you. Don’t pretend to be someone else when you’re with me, just like what you taught me. I’m not looking for Mr. Perfect, only for Mr. Right-for-me, and I think you’re the only one that suits me.”

“I’m glad my wide set of teeth gets your seal of approval. You really are the loveliest and most wonderful woman I’ve ever met.” Taecyeon reached for her hand and pulled her close to him. He wrapped his arms around her and just held her against him for a minute. He needed this physical closeness to make him realize that this is real. He needed to feel her heartbeat beating for him, just like how his own heart accelerated for hers.

Taecyeon moved his head back a bit and pressed his lips against her forehead. Just that small kiss alone thrilled _________ and she couldn’t wait to get more kisses from him. She couldn't wait to fully unravel his mysteries and love him fully.

He was supposed to teach her how to get back in to the dating world but their odd encounter created wonderful serendipity. The two simply stopped looking for anyone else as they fell for each other.
