Kris watched as a flock of mourning doves landed on one of the roofs. He was about to point them out to Luhan when he felt soft lips ghost over the length of his throat, leaving feather light kisses in their wake. Kris’ skin warmed under Luhan’s displays of affection and he returned the attention by lovingly pinching and massaging the skin of the other’s inner thigh. They weren’t demanding touches in any way. There was no insinuation for or a heated exchange of words. It was simply a statement.

“I am here.”

Obviously content his wordless message had been received; Luhan nestled back into place and returned to his drink. Kris placed a kiss atop Luhan’s head and ran his fingers through the boy’s hair tenderly before giving a gentle tug to pull Luhan’s head back far enough to plant another kiss on the crest of his forehead. He’d lost what little interest he had of the outside and took two large gulps of bitter coffee from his own mug.

A tingle ran up his spine and the hair on the back of his neck stood up as Luhan giggled, amused by the sound of the coffee trickling down his throat.

They lost track of time, didn’t care how long they stayed, just being. One hour, two. Long after their mugs had been emptied.

A/N: Yes, yes, I know, it's short, but this is just a connecting chapter because I didn't want it on the end of Chapter 1 and it won't fit at the beginning of Chapter 3.

P.S. You have no idea how hard it is to find decent pictures of balconies (They're all like, modern, or have a deck set, or people, etc.) I couldn't find even one that looked kind of similar to how I picture the one in this story. This was the closest I could get >.>
