For the nth time I glanced at my watch.
3:00 pm
I'm excited about later but I'm more excited on seeing Kyon Min.
She went to Japan a week before but would be returning back today.
Anytime now, she'll be back here again.
As if no party will happen later, I went to our underground bowling room and played for awhile.
Just imagine it as big as one fourth of a football field.
You may think, 'one fourth? that's small'
Please remind yourselves how big is a football field.
Anyway, besides the bowling area, there's 5 billiard tables opposite the bowling area.
There's arcade around, and even three basketball machine which I used to play.
There's also candy stalls around and even vendo machines.
At the far side, I sat at a theatrical red couch and looked blankly at a small stage infront of me with the red curtains widely open.
A bitter smile escaped my lips.

Last year, Kyon Min was late and even now??
Really! That girl!
But I was not that worried since she replies to all my messages.
"Kyon Min, when will you come?"
Not seven seconds has passed but there was already a reply, "why?"
Clueless...
What does she mean why??
Is she supposed to be asking me that?
Why??
Because even though you're replying to me, I'm still worried.
You're not even telling me where you are!
I couldn't take it anymore so I called her.
It took some seconds when she answered.
'Is she busy?'
"DIK YA!"
"oh, bae~by"
Have I mention that whenever I get mad at her, she always call me 'bae~by' to calm me and I'll give in and forgive her?
I'm mentioning it now.
And as usual, my smile went from ear to ear good thing we're in the phone.
"Where are you? People here at the party are already asking for you" I lied. Though it's true that Ji Yong, my bestfriend; se7en, my hyung; Sun Ye, my childhood friend had asked about her.
"I'm still busy at the moment. But I promise I'll come"
"Busy? It's okay. Tell me where you are. I'll fetch you--
"NO!!"
I was kind of offended...?
She just shouted at me.
Sometimes I could be emotional too when it comes to her...
"Bae...I'm sorry" she said her voice a bit shaking.
"Don't worry I'm not mad" I tried to cheer up.
I can't feel down.
People in the party will notice that and they'll start to make a commotion and will make me happy and that will trigger me to feel bad even more.
I was already going back to my normal self when I heard a strumming sound from her background.
"What's that?" I asked though I know it's a guitar strumming.
My question was supposed to be "Who's that?"
But I did not ask.
If she answers 'guitar' there's only one meaning behind it.
It means she's with YeSung.
The only guy who could strum the guitar the way I heard it awhile ago.
And as if my thinking came to life, I heard his voice saying, "Dik Ya, who's that?"
"'Who's that? Who's that'?" I repeated what YeSung asked almost shouting.
"Kyon Min, tell that octopus faced guy that you're just talking to non other than your boyfriend who's celebrating his birthday alone pleading for his girlfriend to come and then found out that his girlfriend was out with another guy!!"
I turned off my phone.
"hey hey hey" Ji Yong sat beside me at a nearby bench away from the hall.
"yo yo yo" I said nonchantly.
"Just don't think too much of Kyon Min being with 'octopus faced guy'" Ji Yong quoted the last part.
I was not shock that he knows my problem.
He knew me too well.
And I like that.
I don't have to waste my saliva sharing what happened again and again.
"Just trust her" he patted my shoulder like he knows Kyon Min better than me.
"Maybe she has something in store for you..."
"She has"
Ji Yong looked panicked, "You figured it out already?"
"Yeah. Surprising me that she's with the guy I hated the most."
I don't know why Yong suddenly looked relieved and murmured something like: "thought...figured...her surprise blah blah"
"anyway," he said "Ye Sung has no fight against you. Just look at you man!" Ji Yong looked at me from head to toe "You're a whole package!"
I laughed, "go back inside, I'll return after some time'
He mumbled 'okay'
An hour or two has passed when I decided to return back.
I guess no one even noticed that I'm gone.
There's so many people right now that you won't even get to say hi to your closest friends.
I'm sure even if I pass them many times, they won't even notice me.
And so I'm wrong.
As soon as I stepped back in the hall, they crowded over me.
Saying stuffs like, "Where have you been?" ,"Birthday boy we got worried", "Hey, I love your food here" etc.etc.
They crowded over me for like five minutes.
I can't even see anything.
Only their faces asking me nonsense stuffs.
Like they're trying to get my attention away.
And I don't know why but after exactly five minutes, they suddenly stopped and moved away.
Crazy.
Weird.
Rude.
Dim..
Romantic...
guitar playing...
Kyon Min...on stage...?
She winked at me when she caught my eyes.
Was I mad at her awhile ago?... I forgot.
Right now, she just looks so beautiful.
Hot.

She was staring at me intently in the eyes and it tells me that she's apologizing for what happened awhile ago.
I manage to smile and she smiled back.
She started to sing 'You're My'
It was so slow...so mellow that it looked like she meant every lyrics that she sings.
It touched the core of my heart.
Everybody was also staring at her admiringly.
Their eyes sparkled in the dimmed hall.
I tried not to pay too much attention on YeSung who was playing the guitar for her.
They were far away from each other.
Obviously, Dik Ya is keeping her distance away from YeSung.
The song finished and guys and girls went on stage with her and the lights were going crazy and they started singing...and dancing 'Where you at'.
I laughed as she took my breath again.
She looks so professional in dancing.
The way she danced and sing has attitude.
She did it exactly the TaeYang style.
She even wore a boyish expression while she twist and turn the signature cap of TaeYang.
Now we looked like we're in a club with people howling.
Someone pushed me hard on the stage
"Birthday boy!!"
"DANCE DANCE DANCE DANCE"
I laughed and ignored them.
I was about to go down but Kyon Min as cute as she is stopped me like a man and gave me a 'show-me-what-you-got-dude' look.
I laughed hard, "don't give me that look"
She frowned and danced freestyle which made the people go "WHOA!!!"
She looked at me challegingly.
I took a deep sigh.
"DANCE! DANCE! DANCE!" she shouted with the people.
She opened her arms and waved it urging them to shout more.
I chuckled, "arraseo.arraseo.arraseo"
I raised my hands in defeat.
They cheered and the noise made my ear deaf.
I danced some parts in 'Where you at' and she danced with me.
We were so synchronized we looked like some kind of a dance duo in TVs.
My party soon turned into a party club.
Everyone was dancing.
Ji Yong and Seung Hyun was rapping on stage.
"HIGH HIGH I'M SO HIGH"
"FLY FLY UP IN THE SKY"
"SAY HAHAHAHA SAY LALALALALA...AYT!!"
KyonMin dragged me somewhere.
She was panting.
Obviously she got tired from her surprise performance.
"You're the BOMB" I said.
"That was embarassing!!"
"NO! You look so hot while dancing!! I never thought you could dance like that besides dancing girly songs."
She mocked punch me.
"Really, I fell for you over again."
"C'me here" she said
I was imagining her punching me again so I didn't move.
"Okay, so I guess you don't want a kiss. It's okay to me" she said walking away.
"YA! WAIT!!" I ran back to her as as soon as I faced her she kissed me.
"Happy eighteenth birthday dance addict" she said inbetween the kiss.
Her first again.
Her first performance infront of everybody as her birthday gift.
I remember her in the past dancing with me.
Telling me about her dreams as a dancer and a singer.
She knows she'll never have a chance to pursue her dreams.
She has a lot more tasks in the future.
Much more important task than dancing and singing.
Her parents chose other paths for her.
An now... I'm so happy.
She did this just for me.
I don't care how she'll reason out why she's late.
Cause I know she's busy preparing for this.
I'm so happy for her that she finally had her dream fulfilled... even if it's not the way she wanted it to be.
I love her so much!

I felt my phone vibrated.
"Yo man," I greeted
"It's already 4:30. You should already be here" Ji Yong reminded me.
"Oh right. Thanks"
I didn't notice the time.
I'm sitting here for like more than an hour?
