Martina had a lot of single friends. Two of them were among her best friends and of the opposite gender. She didn't know how the idea came to her--- maybe it came during her daily bathtime musings, or maybe it just appeared in her mind--- but the more she thought about it, the cuter they seemed to look together, and by the next morning Martina was determined to play matchmaker.

She invited them out for lunch at their usual place.

"Just the three of us?" Simon had asked incredulously.

"Yep," she had replied happily. "Be there!"

They stared at her.

"You're serious," Simon said flatly.

"Yes, I am," Martina beamed. "Don't you like it?"

"Uh, no, I don't, not really," Jessica admitted.

"Come on, guys. I thought about it all night. You two would look great together."

"I don't know, Martina," Simon frowned.

"Just try. You never know, right?" Martina insisted. "Maybe you'll surprise each other."

"Well, Simon is kinda hot," Jessica giggled.

"That's it then!" Martina said happily.
