_Chapter 10_

As the week goes by, Aiden and Joon were kept far away from each other; either Aiden was dragged away by Sungmin and Kevin or Joon would we pulled away by Eli and Kyuhyun.

But every so often you would hear them yell at each other, Aiden never forgave Joon for even attempting to hurt Kevin

At the end of Friday Aiden was tired, he laid in the outfield after practice, he had helped out with the equipment.

Aiden sighs softly, feeling his muscles relax “No matter where you are, you’ll always be in my heart~” he sang softly “Every day and night, you’ll always be in my heart. I will never forget our memories~ No matter how far apart we are”

The silence was soothing for the teen, but soon was interrupted by someone walking towards him

“What are you doing? Shouldn’t you be heading home?” Dongho asks, standing by him

“I wanted to rest…why does it matter to you?” Aiden asked, trying not to be rude

“Because that Jung-min guy is asking for you…and I’m walking with you home since Eli hyung is with Kevin…” Aiden noticed the annoyance in his voice and just stood up

“Alright…let’s go” he says and walks ahead of the latter.

“Aiden!” said teen looked up and smiled seeing Jung-min waving and smiling at him

“Hi Jung-min hyung”

“Hey I told you to drop the ‘hyung’ come on, try it” when the latter shook his head Jung-min laughs softly and the three walked together

“Well this is where we part, I’ll see you two tomorrow” Jung-min says smiling brightly before heading a different direction

“Come on Aiden” Dongho says dragging the teen towards the Woo’s house

“What? Why are you so grumpy??” Aiden asks pulling his arm back, glaring

“I don’t trust him…I mean he is Kibum’s older brother’s friend…not a good thing”

“Whatever, maybe you’re jealous at the fact that he and I are friends”

“Me? Jealous?! No way in hell” Dongho yelled, glaring ahead of them, clearly pissed.

Aiden sighed as he unlocked the door and opened it only to find a Kevin and Eli kissing.

On the couch

“Yah! My eyes! My innocent eyes!!!” Aiden yelled hiding his face

“Aiden Ray Woo!” Kevin yelled after pulling away from Eli

“Why is my brother kissing a pigeon??”

“He is not a pigeon!”

“Is too!”

“Not!” Kevin said, making the argument stop.

Aiden rolled his eyes and escaped to the top of the stairs “Kev I’m going to look through your clothes for something comfortable to wear tomorrow, thanks!” he yelled but didn’t mean it and closed the door to the elders room and quietly went into his room.

Watching out the window he saw Kevin, Eli, and Dongho standing outside and talking for a while before Kevin comes in

“AIDEN RAY WOO!!”

“Oh god” the teen hides in his closet and makes sure he is well hidden

“Aiden! Open this door!” said teen giggles softly until he hears the door unlock and open “Aiden~ come out please~”

_Aiden’s POV_

Oh god, oh god, oh god; I am dead meat!

Please don’t find me!

“Aiden~ I just want to talk with you”

Yeah right! You are gonna sit on me!

I am so dead!

My closet door opened

NO!! DON’T COME ANY CLOSER!!

The clothes slide away

NOOOO!!!

He moves my guitar case, suitcase, moves my portable piano and glares down at me

God…you disappoint me….you didn’t help me, a poor soul; now I’m gonna die! Thanks!

“H-Hey Vinnie, how did I get here?” he put his hands on his hips and stared down at me

“Y-You know I’m hungry…I-I’ll make us dinner” I said trying to escape but Vinnie was slightly faster, next thing I know I am on the ground and Kevin is wrestling with me

“Not the face!!”

“Don’t worry”

“Ow! Okay I’m sorry Vinnie!!” I yelled when I felt his finger digging into my sides, then the ribs, and finally my back, “I give”

When he got off I tackles him and started tickling him

“A-A-A-Aiden!! S-Stop that h-h-hurts!!! Don’t make me call Eli!”

“Pigeon boy can’t hurt me, Dongho and I play tomorrow and I am starting!”

We both fell side by side “Truce?”

“Yeah truce…” Kev muttered before hitting my catching arm

“Ow~~”

“Stop faking, and what you did was so uncalled for; it was just a kiss!”

“Do you not remember who I am?”

“Of course…”

I laughed, I don’t like romance as much as Kevin, but I guess that’s because he is in love now…

I yawn and turn onto my stomach and start army crawling out of the room

“What are you doing Jung-hwa?” I looked up to see Aunt June

“Shhh, I’m on a mission, and it’s called operation ‘Feed my stomach’ now please step aside Auntie June” she sighed but stepped aside and I went down the stairs silently and got myself some food.

The next morning I woke up early, excited for my first game “TODAY IS THE DAY!!!” I yelled, possibly waking everyone; I change into a pair of grey fitting sweat pants and a light blue t-shirt with a white baseball cap.

I run down the stairs and get myself some breakfast “I’m going to the school! See you guys in three hours for the game” I yelled and ran out with my drawstring bag; halfway down the road I saw Jung-min and two other boys walking.

“Hey Aiden!”

“Hi Jung-min hyung”

“Yah, I said drop the ‘hyung’”

“Sorry…”

“Good morning Aiden”

“G-Good morning J-J-Jung-min….” I cursed my heart for beating so loudly, my stuttering, and the newly blush upon my cheeks

“Aw how cute~” I felt an arm on my shoulders and soon I was facing the two boys “I told you he was cute!”

“Yes, we heard you the last fifteen hundred times this week” the one with long brown hair says annoyed

“Oh stop Kibum, be nice” the one with short black hair said, “Hi, I’m Kim Hyung-Jun, and this is my younger brother Kim Kibum” I bowed to both of them and smiled

“You two look alike, are you guys twins?” Hyung-Jun laughed softly before answering

“No, I’m three years older than him”

“Wow, that’s cool” I notice Kibum glaring at me, he didn’t look too friendly…

“Anyways, let’s head to the school!” Jung-min said pulling me along.

“Alright kids, this is the first game and I understand if some of you are nervous, Aiden please sit still”

“Sorry sir…” I muttered, I was excited; whenever I’m excited my right foot bounces on the ground.

I place my arm on my leg and pay attention, “Today we play against YG high” groans could be heard around the locker room, “I know, we lost against them but that is because Dongho and Minwoo were both out sick”

Just because two players were gone doesn’t mean you give up…

Well those two must have been the best players on the team…

Whatever…

“Alright here’s the lineup; Young-min, Minwoo, Siwon, Dongho, A.J, Onew, Hong-Ki, Yoochun, Dong-woo…CNU…and Aiden”

“Alright guys, let’s do this!” Young-min said smiling, he and I shared a look and I smiled

“Yeah, we can do this” I said “Let’s play hard”

Once Dongho stood everyone else stood up, “Let’s go”

“Someone’s still grumpy…” I muttered standing with Young-min

“Don’t mind him, he is always like that”

“Still…” he patted my shoulder and we followed the team out and walked to our dugout.

“Aiden get down!” I heard one of my teammates yell and I slide head first into home and felt a glove hit me in the back

“He is under the tag!” the blue yells and I smile, we’re tied! Yes!

But my smile faded when I felt the catchers metal cleats in my arm, yelling out in pain I roll to my side, cradling my left arm, I felt my body being lifted; I couldn't see who is was since I was staring at the blood on my arm

“Wrap his arm now”

“Aiden are you okay?? That is poor sportsmanship” Hong-Ki said examining at my arm

“Aiden! My poor Aiden! How dare he injure my angel!” I heard Siwon wail

I clench my teeth as Young-min and Hong-Ki work on my arm while Siwon continues to be a drama queen king…

“Can you still play?” the coach asked me

“Y-Yeah…just give me a minute….”

“Okay”

“There you go~” Young-min says and smacks my arm

“Ow!” I yelled, but couldn’t stay mad at him, he pinched my cheeks and I smiled.

“Three outs! Head out guys, bottom of the ninth, we are up by two. Don’t let them score! Aiden you still want to pitch?”

“Sure…” I said, grabbing my glove and head out.

“Pitch you okay?” the blue asked

“Yes sir…just a few scratches, nothing major…”

“Alright, five pitched and then balls in” I nod.

I sighed as I looked at the score board, ’10 – 9’ us…one out, runners on second and first, and my arm was killing me, I looked towards the outfield then decided on something

“Time blue…I want to do a pitching change”

“Alright…pitching change!” I look towards Dongho who was playing in left field and waved him over

“What are you doing??” he asked

“My arm is killing me, I don’t think I can finish…so I want you, the team captain, to finish the game” I handed him the ball and patted his shoulder and jogged into the outfield, our side cheered for me but I didn’t care, I didn’t do much…

Stood in the outfield and watched the infield “Wait your runners!” I yelled seeing the runner of second take a huge lead, Young-min covered and Dongho just nodded and him and pitched

Clink!

“Aiden back! Aiden go back!!” I ran back but kept my eyes on the ball, “You got room; you got room!”

I stopped and caught it, remembering that this is the second out and throw it into Dongho and he threw home, I waited for the call as Yoochun caught it and tagged down, I placed my glove on my head.

As soon as I saw the blue make the ‘Out’ sign and I started running into the infield, Hong-Ki and Siwon soon did too

Young-min was the first to hug me “That was an awesome catch and throw Aiden!!” soon the entire team was hugging in a circle, and somehow Dongho and I were placed in the center

“Sapphire High! Sapphire High!” The crowd cheered, I smiled and looked up towards the sky.

“Aiden!” Kevin yelled jumping at me, I caught him and he hugged me tightly, “How is your arm??”

“It’s fine hyung. Honestly, see” I said flexing my arm

“Okay…I got worried…” I smiled and hugged him

“And I thank you for that”

“Also Jung-min and Dongho seemed to be having a stare down when he had to pick you up” he whispered in my ear

So it was Dongho who picked me up?

Yes, he was

Okay you get out of my head!

Fine, for now

“Hey Aid, we’re all going for some pizza, you want to come?”

“He would love too!” Vinnie said pushing me toward my team

“Eli and I have a date so you go with your friends”

“You have a lot of explaining Hyung!” I yelled before being pulled away by Siwon and Young-min

I sigh as I follow them and go along with my teammates

Oh well this may be fun.
