Heechul's POV Continued

I ran over to one of the paramedics, suddenly panicking.

What if it was that girl? Yeah right, Kim Heechul, like she'd be happy to see you after what happened last night.

"Sir, what happened?" I asked him.

"I'm afraid I can't tell you." He ran into the cafe. Bastard. I stared into the cafe through the window, and all I could see were the owner and chef freaking out (I actually realised that this cafe was the rebuilt of the one me and Jongwoon used to go to), and a couple staring off blankly into space.

"Heechul hyung!" I turned around to see Ryeowook and Kyuhyun running up to me.

"Why are you guys here?"

"Kyu got a call from one of his old classmates saying her cousin collapsed so we ran over here."

That explains the girl who looks absolutely shaken.

"Wait, why did you come Wookie ah?"

"Hyung you seriously think I'd let Kyu run here alone?" Wow, they're so like a couple, it's scary.

"Okay fine, Kyuhyun ah, do you think you could go find out more?"

"Waeyo? I'm kinda still trying to catch my breath." This kid. He's too snarky. He would be an awesome baby brother.

"Well, you guys know how I'm curious like that, now go in Kyuhyun!" He nodded and went inside.

"Chullie hyung?" I turned to Ryeowook, who looked confused.

"Hmm?"

"Why are you out? I thought today was your day off?" I laughed.

"I wanted some fresh air, Ryeowook."

"You realise you're 40 minutes away from our house?"

"Yep. Ryeowook, I'm a grown man who is very capable of defending myself."

"You know I get worried hyung-"

"Okay okay, I'm fine Ryeowook." We both looked inside the window again, seeing Kyuhyun visibly looking like he was gonna puke or something. The tall blonde dude inside the cafe slowly stood up towards Kyuhyun and said something calmly.

"It must be really bad, huh hyung? I've never seen Kyu this freaked out before..." Ryeowook suddenly started to turn into Umma Wook. I sighed.

"I'm sure it'll be fine, Wookie ah," I said, attempting to comfort my little brother, "look, he's coming out now." Kyuhyun looked towards us both and stuttered out an inaudible sentence.

"Kyu, please repeat it in coherent Korean?" Ryeowook softly asked.

"My-my old bestfriend just collapsed after her cousin told her she has- she has cancer." Widening my eyes, I looked over to Kyuhyun who was fighting from letting his tears out.

"I know we had ed up high school years, but I honestly thought that my old friend and her cousin would sort things out. Now it looks like there's a limit for everything."

What if his old friend is the girl from last night?

The paramedics rushed out of the cafe, holding a stretcher and, just when I thought my eyes were open wide enough, they stretch open further.

It is the girl from last night... But why does my heart hurt seeing her unconscious?

The cafe's owner held the girl, who I now know as the girl's cousin as they stepped inside the ambulance. The chef slowly walked up to Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and I and slowly said, "You guys wanna come with us? Kyuhyun ssi, I know you were close to these two, and we personally know the Kim family, so I'm sure it'd be okay for you guys to come with us." The tall guy from before nodded,

"Thank you a lot, both of you," Ryeowook said, taking a shocked Kyuhyun to the car.

We'd been sitting in the waiting room for a while, my brother, the owner Victoria and chef Amber trying to calm a frantic Kyuhyun down and the couple, Kris and Krystal (HAHAHA IF THIS WASN'T SUCH A TENSE MOMENT I WOULD LAUGH SO LOUDLY AT THIS) were sitting calmly beside me. What was I doing? Wondering how a simple walk around the city ended up in the hospital. I received a text from Ahra saying that Kangin would be at her house for dinner tonight and to bring Kyuhyun when I can as long as it's before 8 (pretty ironic huh, and why are they eating so late anyway?). I stood up towards the other four and sat in front of Wookie and Kyu.

"Kyu ah, your sister said I'll have to take you back to home before 8," I said quietly, "seeing as though it's nearly 6 now, I have to take you in around 2 hours."

"Heechul hyung, can I borrow you phone to call her? My battery died an hour ago," he said, voice full of tears. I handed him my phone and he stood up, walking slowly to somewhere quiet. Ryeowook looked at me with a sad expression.

"Hey, what's wrong Wookie?" I asked.

"He seems really worried... I haven't seen him like this in 5 years," he said quietly.

"Ryeowook, what do you mean 'in 5 years'? That was when-" my eyes widened. It was when I was in the accident...

"Well, they are friends from highschool, Wookie, he's bound to feel worried."

"All of this is my fault." We all turned to Krystal who had spoken for the first time.

"Krystal it isn't your fault-" Kris started.

"But it is! Everything is my fault! Sohee unnie went through so much and I did nothing about it, because I resented her-" she broke off in sobs, Kris pulling her closer, offering soft words of comfort. Just then a doctor walked into the waiting room, with Kyuhyun running in.

"Why aren't you telling me anything? She's like a sister to me, Doctor Kang!" he yelled.

"I know Kyuhyun, but I can only tell parents or a family-" Doctor Kang explained softly, wow he hasn't aged at all... he's the one who helped me survive even though I hate being here with Umma and Appa. Just then, Krystal stood up.

"I'm her cousin, Krystal Jung. Doctor Kang can you tell me?" She said. The doctor sighed.

"Are her parents not here?" he enquired.

"Her parents hate her." Whoa... that explains everything I saw last night before I... well you know the story. The air suddenly fell tense.

"Kry, what do you mean?" Kyuhyun said, in disbelief.

"It's true, but she will have to tell you herself. Now, Doctor Kang, please tell me what happened," she confirmed what she said.

"It's a mild symptom of shock. It seems as though her body responds to shock differently, causing her to collapse." He sounded quite unsure of himself.

"Then why do you sound so confused Doctor?" Victoria asked.

"Because, according to her medical records, she never used to collapse," he said.

"Krystal, what did you tell her to cause her to be so... shocked?" Amber asked.

"I told her about my terminal cancer," she said quietly, but loud enough for us all to hear.

"Also, I couldn't help but notice, she has not eaten anything since last Friday-"

"That was the last time we could even have a break at the cafe! We were flooded with customers since, but, then that means," Victoria's eyes widened, "She hasn't eaten in nearly a week. Oh my gosh I thought she would stop doing this after the last time-"

"She's done this before?!" Kyu and Krystal exclaimed.

"Unfortunately yes. We have managed to stablise her. I advise you tell her anything as cautiously as possible and to make sure she eats as frequently as she has to. Krystal, make sure you're back here for your appointment with Doctor Lee, and Sohee is prepared for discharge today." Victoria and Krystal went to sort out the paperwork business as Kyuhyun sat back down, taking everything in.

"I can't believe how much everything has changed since high school..." he said quietly.

AN: I'm gonna leave this here but hey, it's a lot longer ^^ I hope you guys kinda get it. I'm not exactly good at hospital scenes since the last time I visited one was when my nephew was born, and I don't see any pregancies occuring anytime soon in this fic.
