Don't Forget Me -Ch3-

Don't Forget Me

~.~.~.~

Dongho sat up slowly so he could let Hoon get comfortable before he told him his story.

“She was beautiful; her hair sat just above her shoulders, her skin was perfectly golden, she didn’t even possess a blemish. It was a shame that she didn’t know I existed” Hoon pouted and looked down at his lap.

Meanwhile Dongho chuckled in disbelief. Hoon looked up at him and pouted just that little bit more.

“Well too be completely honest, I wasn’t in love with her, I’ve never been in love. I don’t know what it feels like, yeah I liked that girl. Yes she existed. But I couldn’t just look at her and say I was in love.” Hoon felt like he could tell anything to Dongho, as if they had been friends for so long and could share anything.

“Really? You’ve really never been in love?” Dongho said, gobsmacked at what this man was telling him.

“Well, yeah.” Hoon said embarrassed as he continued to stare at his lap as his cheeks starting to brighten. He looked up into Dongho’s eyes, his face as serious as it gets. “What does it feel like?”

Dongho was taken aback from this question and he went into deep thought as he looked out the window, away from Hoon’s eyes.

“Uh, it’s like ... I don’t even know, actually now that I think about it, to be completely honest with you, I don’t even think I was in love with my girlfriend. I liked her a lot, but, not so much hurt not being around her.” He sighed, he was getting used to the company of this supposed stranger, and he really enjoyed talking to him.

“Huh, I guess that makes two of us then” Hoon said with a smirk on his face as Dongho turned around and mirrored his action. They both sat back into the couch and sighed at the same time.

“When do you think this rain will stop?” Dongho said to keep the conversation going.

“Well according to my, no reception phone, that’s frozen from the previous whether update, not for a week, which means no work, and no money.” Hoon replied looking at his phone to try to get it working. It failed.

“Oh, I can leave if you like so you can survive off what you have,” Dongho made to get up with pain to leave, but when he tried to walk away, he was pulled back by his wrist slightly and when he turned around, he saw a scared puppy expression on the others face that made him feel fluffy inside. It made him feel wanted. He looked at him sceptically.

“Please don’t go, y-you’ll get hurt, a-and it’s too wet outside” Hoon blushed and looked down at his lap and realized he was still holding on to the younger’s wrist and he quickly let go to fiddle with his own fingers.

Dongho’s expression softened as he stared at the seemingly cute man beside him. He sat down on the couch again, slowly, as his gaze was still firmly planted on the other.

He really didn’t want to go. He was happy being around the other. Hoon made him happy, and made him feel wanted. The poor guy looked as lonely as Dongho felt; so they had a lot in common, maybe this would be a fun week for Dongho, No one would look for me anyway. He thought.

He sat back comfortably on the couch and they both sat in comfortable silence, relishing in the others presence.

~.~.~.~

They sat eating dinner, they spoke about everything together. It was like they were old friends reuniting after years of not seeing each other. They smiled and laughed, and even a couple of tears were shed, but they were looked after by a comforting hand on a shoulder.

“You’re an amazing cook you know, where’d you learn to cook like this?” Dongho said, with his cheeks full of food, looking like a chipmunk again. Hoon chuckled at the younger’s behaviour and was happy the boy was finally warming up to him.

“Well, my parents died when I was 18, so you have to learn to cook if you’re looking after yourself right?” Hoon said with a said smile.

Dongho stopped chewing and swallowed his food all at once.

“I’im sorry, I-I didn’t know, I’m sorry” Dongho pleaded with his head looking down at his lap.

“Hey, don’t worry about it,” Hoon said sympathetically as he placed a hand on Dongho’s shoulder. “It happened 3 years ago, I’m okay to talk about it. It’s good that I do actually, and you are the first one I’ve told.” He had a genuine smile on his face for the boy now.

Dongho shot his head up and looked at the elder with wide eyes.

“You’re only 21?!” He said surprised.

Hoon looked at him, gawking.

“What? How old did you think I was?!” He said, voice slightly raised. He took his hand off Dongho’s shoulder immediately, really surprised.

“Like, mid-thirties or something, you really do look mature for your age; I feel a whole lot more comfortable now.” Dongho reassured him.

“Did you think I was some e?!” Hoon stood up and raised his voice again still shocked at how old the other thought he was.

Dongho quickly stood up too, suddenly clutching his side from the pain he felt but regaining himself straight away. He was backing away from the fuming Hoon, but couldn’t help but laugh when he was waving his hands in front of him to calm Hoon.

“No-no I didn’t say that” he continued to laugh as Hoon kept getting closer to him. His face was actually quite scary, but Dongho just couldn’t keep a straight face and ended up by keeling over in a fit of laughter and pain.

Hoon stopped and crossed his arms, and looked at the boy with a serious pout.

“Yah! Stop laughing, you’re gonna hurt yourself, and it’s not funny, I’m being serious.” Hoon crossed his arms tighter and watched the form before him as he regained himself.

“But …… your face ….. It’s ……. So funny,” Dongho said in between breaths of laughter as he looked at the other.

Hoon pouted just that little bit more “Well …. Go have a shower, you smell” Was all he could come back with before he went back to his dinner. As soon as he turned around from the other he couldn’t help but smile to himself, though the other was making fun of him, he could still see the compliment behind it. When he looked back over his shoulder the younger was already in the bathroom having a shower.

~.~.~.~

“Ah Hoon”

Hoon turned around and saw the boy dressed only with a towel around his waist. He cheeks slightly tinted, and he turned back around, but he brushed the thought away and answered the other.

“What’s up?” He said calmly, sitting on the couch watching TV.

“Ah, are these bandages supposed to get wet, because they just feel soggy and gross, and it hurts.”

Hoon turned around and looked back at the boy.

“Oh, .” He realised as he stood up quickly and walked over to the boy, grabbed him by his wrist, lifted his arm up an analysed the bandage that was slightly dangling from the wound.

“What’s wrong? Is it bad?” Dongho asked innocently as he watched Hoon deal with his wound.

“I’m sorry, I should have given you a clear patch to put over it while you showered, I’m sorry.” Hoon said, slowly removing the sticking plaster without hurting the boy.

“Why are you apologising? It’s not your fault, why does it matter anyway, I’m not dying” Dongho said wincing from the pain of the plaster being torn from his body. Hoon stood upright and faced the boy.

“I just don’t want you to be in pain anymore,” He went to the kitchen to get some more patches and disinfectant.

“Why do you care so much?”

“Why do you ask so many questions?” Hoon replied, concentrating more on fixing the boy then listening to him ramble. He sealed the patch and put everything back in the cupboards.

“There, done” Hoon said with a proud smile. “Next time you take a shower, warn me, and I’ll put a clear patch over it, okay?” Hoon said as he went to go watch TV again.

“You’re the one that told me to go have a shower?!” Dongho defended as he followed the other.

Hoon turned around before sitting down. “Oh, you need clothes don’t you, follow me” Hoon grabbed the other by the wrist and led him to his room. Dongho was just dragged along.

“What’s with you and changing subjects?”

“What’s with you and your 21 questions?” Hoon said as he reached his bedroom door and pushed it open.

To Dongho’s surprise, it was the messiest room in the house, well, not as messy as his room, but compared to everything else in the house this room was disgusting.

“Oops, excuse the mess, It’s the least thing on my mind at the moment,” Hoon said as he walked to his dresser and began to pull out more clothes searching for something the younger could wear and feel comfortable in.

Dongho just stood at the door examining the room when his eyes came across Hoon and he just watched him.

“What’s the most important thing on your mind right now?” Dongho asked, searching for an answer but of course not receiving it.

“Are you okay with pink? I only have a pink shirt that’s comfortable enough and won’t rub, oh and these grey track pants, you can get changed in here, and I’ll go watch TV.” Hoon threw the clothes lightly at Dongho and rushed out of the room avoiding the questions being thrown at him. He slammed the door and ran to the lounge room and watched TV.

Dongho just stared at the closed door before him with furrowed eyebrows but soon discard Hoon’s incompetence and began to dress.

When he was done he threw his towel on the floor thinking it wouldn’t make a difference anyway and he walked out, determined to get something out of Hoon. What he was trying to find, he doesn’t know, but he just wants the other to say it. It’s probably the most unimportant thing but for some reason, he just wanted to know.

He walked down the hall towards the lounge and when he saw Hoon he saw him stiffen when he heard Dongho’s footsteps. Dongho just kept walking and when he got to the couch he stood right in front of Hoon’s vision of the TV and crossed his arms and pouted.

“Why do you keep avoiding all my questions?”

Hoon couldn’t help but smile at the boys cuteness but soon realized what he was doing and immediately straightened up.

“Dongho, it’s my favourite TV show, can we talk later, please?” Hoon began to pit extra cutely, but it didn’t fool Dongho.

“What’s it called?” Dongho retorted, getting frustrated.

“Huh?” Hoon asked, slightly confused but still new where the boy was heading.

“The TV show, what’s it called.” Dongho was dead serious.

“Oh, uh, dragon land.” Hoon new he was caught this time.

“Wrong, it’s called the land of pixies and fairies, you’re watching a children’s channel; did you realize that?” Dongho raised his eye brow and sat down on the couch and crossed his legs and faced Hoon, while Hoon just sat there looking at his own lap.

“What’s on your mind; you can tell me.” Dongho tried to get the others attention by tipping his own head to the side to try and catch the others eyes. Hoon looked up and Dongho gave him a sweet smile.

“I-I just want you to be safe, I don’t want to be the reason why you’re in pain, I just want you to feel good and healthy, I-I’m just worried.” Hoon stuttered, and he looked back down to his lap and started to play with his hands.

Dongho smiled, and laughed a little. “You don’t have to be so worried Hoon, I’ll be fine, really, you’ve taken good care of me all ready, I couldn’t ask for anymore” Dongho leaned his head on Hoon’s shoulder and s his arms around Hoon’s arm and hugged him as he got comfortable. Hoon slowly moved his head to look at the other on his shoulder and a smile was plastered on his face.

“Thankyou” Dongho’s voice was tired and he began to drift off to sleep. Hoon used his other arm and extended it to reach for the blanket on the ground and wrapped it around Dongho and leaned into his arm hug so Dongho could be more comfortable. He heard small snores coming from the other and he smiled again, loving this feeling, but thinking that what if the other wouldn’t remember him in the morning again. That was why he didn’t want to get to close; he didn’t actually want to fall for the boy. But now he’s scared that he might have. It just hurts. Maybe, just maybe he will remember him in the morning. Hoon sat back and watched the rest of his “so called” favourite TV show. It was his favourite now.

~.~.~.~

It was one O’clock in the morning. Hoon was awoken by small sobs coming from the lounge room, it took him a bit before he realized that it was Dongho crying. He quickly jumped out of his bed and ran to the lounge room and the light.

“Dongho? Dongho, are you okay?” Hoon ran over to the boy and he went to hold the boy but stopped when the other flinched away. “Dongho?”

“W-who are you?”
