“Taeminnie what?” Nicole exclaimed and quickly glanced at Jiyoung next to her who looked back in surprise.

  “Shh!” Key hissed over the phone. “This is a secret! Don’t you dare tell anyone, especially Jing!”

  There was silence from Nicole’s end.

  “Jing isn’t there, is she?” Key asked. “She didn’t hear your outburst, did she?”

  “Err…”

  “Nicole Jung! I order you to step away from the living room and into your room right now,” Key demanded.

  “Alright, alright! Sheesh.” Nicole took her phone away from her ear, giving the device a dirty look. Glancing at Jiyoung who was sitting next to her and playing with her phone, Nicole forced a laugh.

  “Unnie, were you talking about Taemin-oppa? SHINee’s maknae?” Jiyoung enquired.

  Nicole laughed uneasily again. “Oh, no, no. A different… Taemin. I got to go.” She jumped from the couch and left Jiyoung staring after her and locked herself in her room.

  “Okay, Key,” she said into her phone. “Tell me everything.”

  “A different Taemin?” she heard his disbelieving voice say. “How many Taemins do you know?”

  “Shut up.”

After ten minutes, Nicole got out of her room and looked around for any signs of other KARA members. When she thought the coast was clear, she approached Jiyoung who was still sitting in the living room looking bored.
