Hell's Makeover
SHINee for Rental
Mae So's POV
"Yah! Unnie! Where are you dragging me to?" I complained as I struggled against her strong hold on my wrist.
"A makeover," Juna unnie said nonchalantly.
"WHAT FOR?! I don't need it!" I protested.
Juna jerked to a stop and I accidently bumped into her as a result. I didn't get a chance to complain when she looked back at me and smirked.
Juna loosened her hold on my wrist as she stopped. I took the chance to shake off her hand.
"Look at that hair. Stringy and dry. You obviously need something done to your hair,” she nagged, lifting a lock of hair from my shoulders and carried on to glance at my clothes, “and your sense of style! Polkadots with a frumpy granny dress? At least wear polka-dotted shoes with something much more stylish."
What's with her? She's never been this rude towards me before. Not only that, I'm rather insulted. It's not a frumpy granny dress. It's just something I sewed when I was thirteen.
Okay, maybe she had a point there.
BUT THAT ISN’T THE MAIN POINT.
Something's up.
"Unnie… Gwenchana?" I asked, half suspicious, half concerned.
I didn’t have time to read her expression. She grabbed my wrist once again and dragged me behind her.
I stared at her back, which emitted nervousness, as she dragged me. Worry started to fill me, but she looked back and gave me a smile.
It’s just that… It wasn't her usual smile.
Juna's POV
--FLASHBACK--
"What did you say?" I halted in my steps.
"Mae So's discovered. Her father found her. Been quite a while already. I could've told you sooner, but.. "
"... I thought we've hidden her well?" I replied emotionlessly.
"Not good enough, apparently,” he replied just as coolly.
There was a pause.
"How did we get found out?"
"That's for me to know and for you to find out," he chided.
My relationship with this man is extremely fragile. If not for my trump card over him, I would have probably been dead by now.
"I think a change of apartment is necessary," he continued.
"Why?"
"The Reapers know of the master's lost daughter. It won't be long until they dig out the information of where she's located."
My blood ran cold.
"Make sure she enjoys her life before it gets snuffed out."
An ominous feeling stabbed my heart sharply as the call fell dead.
--END OF FLASHBACK--
She'll have a total makeover.
She'll be so different that no one can recognize her at all.
But that alone will not solve the problem…
At least it will buy us some time.
Mae So's POV
Something stuck around my mind the whole time we were "shopping." It was more along the lines of I'm-on-the-18th-floor-of-Hell-so-someone-save-me, but it isn’t that.
The hairstylist pulled and snipped my hair in many different angles. I thought I was going to go bald by the amount of strength she applied on my hair. What can I say? For someone so small in size, she really does have a lot of energy.
She didn't pull out my hair after all. What can I say? Kudos to her. When the stylist held the mirror in front of me, I took a look at my hair and I have to say, "Wow." I suppose the pain was worth it.
My hair was bouncy and had highlights. Not sure what the highlight color was, but I think it was strawberry blond or something. She trimmed it to reach my shoulders, which is a contrast to my old long waist-length hair.
Juna nodded in approval and dragged me into the nearest clothing shop.
No need to pay for my haircut, eh? She must be a regular customer.
When she entered the shop, I couldn't help it but gape at the wide range of clothes. I didn't know how she did it, but she randomly picked out bermudas, t-shirts, blouses and such and passed them to me.
I pulled a "What the hell! Are you serious?" look as she pointed to the fitting room.
I scowled and dragged my feet towards the room.
Maybe it wasn't random after all. They actually looked great on me. I wore my favorite set and went out of the room. Juna raised her eyebrows and her lips twitched.
"You want these?" She pointed at the stacks of clothes that I was holding up.
I nodded meekly. She went to pay for the clothes and I followed her.
The same thing happened for the shoes and accessories. She reads fashion magazines when I'm not around, right?! At the end of the day, I'm not sure if I should be agonized or happy. I can now boast of a great wardrobe, but the ordeal of what I have gone through would probably be shown on my face for a long time.
I was proven right when Key and the others arrived the next day.
"You look like you died and got revived through a very painful method," Key joked.
"Heh. You got that right."
"I think whatever you've gone through is wo--" Key got interrupted.
"Guys, may I talk to you? NOW?"
Key turned around, annoyed. He plastered on an enthusiastic smile when he saw Juna standing near the kitchen entrance tapping her feet on the marble floor.
"Don't make me wait," she muttered loud enough for Key to hear with a dangerous edge and entered the kitchen

Sad/Happy news for you all! Depends on whether you like my fic or not, I suppose.
I’m having common tests. It’s going to take some time. I need to work hard for it. It’s almost half of my grade for this year.
I’ll probably upload maybe one or two chapters immediately after the end of these tests ._. Since I’ll do a chapter when I’m bored or something XD
Comments are welcome~
