Kim Ukwon

There’s nothing I hate more than being asked to do more than what I can. Not like I didn’t like a challenge or anything its just I hate when my flaws are exhibited for the world to see.  So worst case scenario I embarrass myself in front of the entire world.

I smiled at the camera as the photographer snapped away shouting encouraging words at me. I’m not the most famous model, not yet anyway but one day I’ll be a household name I just know it.

Until then I’m stuck doing whatever it takes to pay my bills and that means I barely have a social life and much friends but I can live with it.

“So what’s the nightmare this time?” I asked my manager as I wiped the sweat off my face.

“It-it’s a dance commercial for japan” Han Lee said stuttering a bit

My worst nightmare had come true, I couldn’t dance to save my life, and now the world would know. Maybe if I practiced-

“The camera crew will film the practices for their promotions on the net. The director wants it to be as real as possible so they’ll film whatever they like.”   He explained.

With a frustrated sigh I took my bag and headed for the exit looking for a cab in the city of Seoul wasn’t as easy on afternoons.

“You’ll have a partner as well…He’s an Idol.” Han called behind me.

My blood ran cold. Great! a master of dance, as almost all idols were. What am I going to do?

“Taxi” My voice rang out among the busy street with tons of car horns beeping every few seconds, if today was my lucky day I’d have gotten a cab earlier but no I had to have the worst day.

I sighed relieved when a taxi stopped for me but just my luck the rain thundered down on the streets of Seoul momentarily stunning me. I just couldn’t believe it!

“You look like you could use this.” Someone said to me shoving an umbrella into my hand, I glimpsed his face just before he pulled the cab door open and stole my seat winking at my shocked expression.

The next morning with a slight cold from hours in the rain trying to get a cab, I’d stumbled into the dance studio shivering at the cool air.

‘Oh you’re here” My manager said as he took my coat.

‘Ah yea I’m a little-“ I stopped short noticing my dance partner standing by the door his eyes never leaving mine held a playfulness I couldn’t define.

“Oh this is your partner” Han said gesturing to the man.

“Kim Ukwon” He said a sly smirk plastered onto his face.
