“Sophie-Noona!!” a voice yelled from the studio door as James threw himself in her direction and knocked her to the floor. God she had missed him. She hadn’t seen him since she had been on house arrest. It .

“Hey James,” she chuckled attempting to push him off of her. It didn’t help and he continued to cling to her. “James, you mind letting me breath?” he nodded and slowly got to his feet pulling her with him before jogging over and hugging Sehun.

“What no fanfare and happy reunion for us?” the Maknae joked. James pushed the side of his face and poked him in the stomach. “Don’t get your hopes up.” The Diva sneered before prancing back to Sophies side, smiling at the rest of the guys.

He waved shyly, his previous confidence dissipated at the sight of the 11 other attractive guys. Sophie shook her head at her friend fondly. “Stop staring.” She whispered into his ear. “I know it’s a lot to take in.” Sophie wondered if this was how she appeared when she first met the boys. Shy, quiet. Un assuming.

She thought back to her first dinner with them,

James shook his head and plastered his signature grin on his face. “Annyeong haseyo. Im James.”. Tao chuckled and skipped over picking James up in a hug and swinging him around. “Welcome to the crazy family that is EXO, we hope you will stay a while!” the maknae said grinning before putting the traumatized dancer back on his feet.

SuHo stepped up next to the attacker and placed a hand on his shoulder. “Tao, we don’t want to actually scare people off now do we?”

The maknaes shook his head before an excited look crossed his face. “Can we practise our introduction! Please?! This is the perfect time!” he began jumping up and down on the balls of his feet and Sophie couldn’t help but chuckle. He was such a cute panda.

“Yeah can we? I’ll probably stutter and forget what I am meant to say if I don’t practise.” Lay said chuckling slightly.

“Sure. Okay guys fall in!” SuHo announced at the same time as Kris, causing each to chuckle slightly before they too fell in line in front of James and Sophie.

“We are one!” they all shouted at the same time and bowed at perfect right angles before each member stepped forward and stated their name and group. Sophie had to hold back her laughter when Kai stepped forward and introduced himself as the ‘Dancing machine’ and Tao as the ‘Kung Fu Panda.’

James actually had to hold her back from running up and pinching the maknaes cheeks. He was such a cutee. James almost fainted when LuHan stepped up and introduced himself but Sophie held him up by his shoulder, making sure he stayed conscious.

“Trust you to have a crush on the arrogant .” She muttered to the unstable James. He blushed and shook his head slightly. “I don’t have a crush on him I just think he is attractive.”

She chuckled at her friend, “Sure sure, you keep telling yourself that. Just don’t trip over next dance class when he walks in and stand on my foot okay?” She turned her attention back to the members of EXO but felt a stab of jealousy in her stomach when she saw James staring at LuHan in her peripheral vision. The foreign emotion almost made her yell out loud.

Why was she jealous?! She had no reason too! LuHan was attractive (hot, cute, mind-numbingly gorgeous) sure. But he annoyed her too much. So why did her heart freak the crap out when he smiled and waved to her from the line up. Stupid teenage hormones, stupid arrogant annoying confusing LuHan.

She was snapped out of her confusion however when she felt a surge of pride. Lay stepped forward and said his lines, only having to restart once because he stuttered and lost his place. She shot him an encouraging smile and he returned it waving slightly, smiling shyly. He did it!

Once all introductions were done she ran up and hugged the smiling unicorn, congratulating him on his amazing introduction. Lay blushed and kicked the ground, “It wasn’t that good.”

“At least you can talk now!” BaekHyun shouted from across the room.

“Yah!! I can’t help it if I was shy.”

“Still are.” Chen added throwing an arm over Lays shoulder.

“Not the point!” Sophie interrupted! She leant in and pressed a light kiss on his cheek, “Well done Yixing.”

Sophie looked out the nearby window and noticed the sun had begun to fall, it was probably time to leave, considering it was going to take a while to cook tacos for 13 starving boys and herself!

“Come on James, lets go. I’m going to need extra time to cook for this army of black holes, tornadoes, rays of sunshine and taco deprived dancers!”

“Hey!” Kai complained. “I take offense to that! I am not taco deprived, they can’t be that amazing!”

“You bite your tongue boy!” Xiu Min declared pointing a threatening finger at the blasphemer.

“Don’t you threaten me bread face!” Kai joked leaping on the pale skinned idol.

“Sophie back me up here!” Xiu Min called as Kai wrestled him on the floor.

“Sorry dude, you left your laundry out for me to clean yesterday. You’re on your own! I do believe I’m your roommate, not your Mama.” She chuckled picking up her duffel from the floor and linking arms with the Diva next to her.

The dark skinned Diva turned to her before they all walked out the studio door. “Why do I think you fit in a little too well here?”

“Crap, I am so forgetful lately!” Sophie cursed as they reached the first flight of stairs at the dance studios. James looked at her curiously and she motioned for everybody to stay still. She had left her iPod charger in her studio a few days ago and her battery was running low.

“Stay here I will be right back.” She jogged back down the hall, bypassing the boys studio and heading to her own. Only vaguely registering the nearby elevator dinging as it opened a few floors below.

She raced into the dark studio and flicked on the lights before shutting the door behind her and skipping across to the mirrored wall. She grabbed the white cord that had been carelessly discarded in the corner a few days earlier and threw it in her pocket. The dancer then swung open the door and locked it behind her before running back to the stairs.

Thank goodness, if she had one more day without her iPod, she might have gone clinically insane.

“Okay lets go.” She smiled and Sehun threw an arm over her shoulder while James bounced along beside her, eager to finally have a shower.

The 14 of them had travelled a total of two steps before a dinging sound echoed behind her. She heard the mechanical sound of the elevator doors opening and she ignored the surge in her stomach. She hated elevators, hated them. She heard light footsteps behind her and ignored the stranger.

Trainees often came to the studios to practise at night.

“Guess who?!” a friendly voice teased from behind her.

Sophie and the boys swung around, their eyes landing on a short red head in denim shorts and a SHINee t-shirt with the five boys names written in Hangul. The thin girl had a great big dorky grin plastered on her face as Sophie stared at her in disbelief. No freaking way!

“Heather-Umma!” she said swinging the small red head around in her arms. She hadn’t seen Heather in so long. 6 months to be exact. They had met each other at a Dance tour back in Australia and hit it off immediately, becoming close friends over their strong love for K-pop and dancing. They had both been scouted that year for SM but Heather stayed behind, wanting to finish the high school year at home.

And now she was here.

She put the short girl down and beamed, “I cannot believe you’re here! When did you arrive?! Where are you staying?! How is Nicola? Krystal, Laura? They’re all doing well? How was school? Are you parents here? Did you get the scholarship-

Heather silenced her by shoving a previously concealed lollypop in . Damn. She always knew Sophie had a weakness for candy. Stupid Heather and her stupid ability to know every stupid weakness Sophie had. “Sophie,” she lightly patted her on the cheek before pressing a light kiss to her forehead, having to stand on her tippy toes to reach. “Shut up.”

Her eyes suddenly widened as she peeked over the taller girls shoulder and Sophie froze. Great, she knew what had just happened. Prepare yourself for the onslaught Sophie, this is going to be a big one. “Sophie Lee Kara Clancy,” she begun in her familiar motherly tone, “Why are the EXO members standing behind you?”

 “Long story.” The taller muttered before continuing to on the chup-a-chup innocently, shooting the mother figure her aegyo. It was unneffective. Heather responded with ‘motherly rage’.

“Uh-uh-uh-uh-uh! You can’t do that to me!” She chided back lightly tugging on the end of the lollypop stick, signalling for Sophie to give it back. Sophie locked it behind her teeth and shook her head, trying to pull her lollypop free of Heather’s grasp. “No.” she mumbled trying to keep her lollypop in . “Noooooooo.”

“Do I even want to know?” a smooth voice echoed from behind Sophie and she recognised it immediately.

Heather let go of the lollypop stick and peaked over Sophie shoulder and jumped back from shock. “BaekHyun you’re such a creeper.” Sophie chuckled spinning her lollypop triumphantly in the air. The Idol appeared next to her, eyeliner thick as always. He spotted Heather and waved sheepishly before extending a hand.

“Hey, I’m BaekHyun. I take it you know Sophie, or do you just steal peoples lollypops for fun?” he joked and Heather grinned. Sophie elbowed him in the side. “Stop, you’re giving her ideas.” She said flashing a look of mock suspicion In Heathers direction.

Heather chuckled, shaking her head at the taller girl before shaking BaekHyuns hand. “I’m Heather. I used to dance with Sophie back in Australia. We met on tour.”

BaekHyun grinned at her again before gesturing for the boys to come over. “You Dance?” he asked as the boys approached, to which she replied with her signature popping movement and body roll. “Hell yeah I do.” She admitted proudly.

“Cool.” BaekHyun beamed and the boys surrounded the new arrival.

“So who is the , fresh meat?” Kai asked smirking at Heather as he, Chen and Xiu Min arrived first, the latter bickering over who could eat more ice-cream than the other in the shortest amount of time. Little did Kai know, with that little remark, he had awaked something he wasn’t prepared for. Oh this is going to go so well. Sophie chuckled under her breath and covered her face, not wanting to witness what happened next.

“Don’t smirk at me boy. I’m not, how do you put it, ‘fresh meat’. Go shrink your head down to size and come back when your ego is big enough to fit in this hallway.” Heather chided causing the smirk to disappear off Kai face. The rest of the boys erupted in laughter and she high fived BaekHyun.

Kai scowled at Sophie. “She is too much like you. I don’t like it.” Heather chuckled and the taller girl hugged her.

“I taught her well.” Sophie grinned at the humiliated dancing machine and he sulked, leaning against the wall as the other boys introduced themselves.

Once everybody was all well acquainted it had become dark outside and the street lights had begun to flicker on. Sophie remembered one of her earlier concerns and turned to Heather as they descended down the stairs. “Where are you staying? I would have let you stay with me but I’m afraid I’m living with these guys at the moment. Got kicked out of my hotel.”

Compassion crossed her shorter friends face and Sophie couldn’t help but smile. She was glad Heather was here, she hadn’t seen anyone from home in so long. If she could have chosen anyone to be there, it would have been Heather.

The red haired girls expression changed as a smile spread across her face. “I managed to find somewhere to stay.” Sophie would know that look anywhere, Heather was hiding something.

“Don’t make me.” The brunette threatened raising her hands, she would tickle it out of her if she had to. A look of terror crossed Heather’s face and she stepped away from her, hiding behind Chanyeol and BaekHyun.

“Don’t let her! She is evil!” she yelled and peaked around from Chanyeol’s tall form. The tall boy chuckled and wrapped his arms around her, shielding her from Sophies tickle attack. “Yah! Channie your meant to be on my side!” Sophie chided at the traitor.

“Us red heads have to protect our own! Sorry Soph!” he apologised, hiding Heather from view.

“You’re not even natural!”

“Doesn’t matter!” Chanyeol replied.

BaekHyun laughed and wrapped an arm around Heather, pulling her slightly away from the energetic tornado that was Chanyeol. The girl blushed and Sophie chuckled. She knew Heather was independent and strong but she was so shy when it came to guys. It was hilarious.

The little red head shot her a heart stopping glare and Sophie raised her hands in defeat.

“I give, I give. Sorry Umma!”

She chuckled throwing a proud grin at Sophie.

“It’s okay, by the way Nicola says you better buy her a SHINee t-shirt and Minho socks or she will never forgive you.”

“Great, more money to spend. Remind me to thank the fellow flamer for that later!” she remarked sarcasm dripping from her voice. She really didn’t have a lot of money at the moment, she hadn’t been back to work in days on the nurses orders. Her basically non-existent fund was slowly dripping dry.

“Don’t worry, I’ll buy them, her description was pretty extensive anyway. She wrote a 3000 words essay on the exact type of shirt and socks to get her.” Heather said dryly, pulling a small booklet out of her back pocket. No doubt Nicola’s handy work. “I think I’m pretty prepared.” BaekHyuns eyes widened at the small book in her hands and he shook his head.

“Sophie you have some weird friends.” The eyeliner loving singer gaffawed.

Suddenly another body appeared by Sophies side, draping an arm over her shoulder. She could almost feel the arrogant aura thicken the air. Guess whose back. “Great.” She remarked before looking up to see that she was indeed correct.

“You have friends? I doubt that highly!” LuHan remarked, mocking shock as he placed a hand over his heart. Sophie knew arrogant LuHan would raise his head sometime today, and she was prepared. She opened to shoot her remark back but was silenced.

A (strangely familiar) paper booklet flew in front of Sophie vision and thwacked the idol in the face, causing him to stumble back with a dazed look in his eyes.

Sophie turned to see who threw the object and her eyes met a smug looking Heather surrounded by Chanyeol, BaekHyun, Tao and Kris who were laughing and pointing at the assaulted singer. She had to admit, LuHan looked like a deer in headlights after Heathers essay-warfare.

“Heather?”

“Yeah Soph?”

“I missed you!”

The girl erupted in chuckles before swinging an arm around her waist. “I missed you too.”

They walked out the front door of the studio arm in arm while James trotted along with wide eyes, amazed at the city area around him. He began to tell them that he came from a small suburb area on the outskirts of Seoul, he wasn’t use to the bright lights and commercial buildings. This was all very new to him.

“I have never even had bubble tea!” He whined. That remark made Sehun appear out of nowhere a shocked look on his face before he gripped his friend in a bear hug. “We must buy this boy bubble tea and we must buy it now!” he announced to the EXO members causing them to laugh and shake their heads.

Sehuns obsession with bubble tea could rival Xiu Mins with bread rolls, or Tacos.

Or any food really.

After they had dropped Heather off at the bus stop after exchanging numbers and the shorter girl refused to provide her lodging information, Sophie pulled her into her arms and smiled. Happy that her friend was finally there. In Seoul. FINALLY!

“Why won’t you tell me where you are staying?! Please tell me!” the brunette whined once more, hoping Heather would give in. The girls red curls bounced around her head as she shook it.

“Nope it’s a suprise. I will tell you later! Bye bye Unnie!” she squealed as she got on the bus. The girl shot the 13 boys waves and smiles before climbing on and disappearing down the road.

As they waved the bus off James bounced next to her grinning like a fool. “I like her, she’s cool!”

“I have one question though.” Chen said appearing next to them. “If shes the Umma, then how is it that you’re her Unnie?”

“Do not get me started on our groups nicknames, it’s a confusing, dangerous road that will mess up your brain and teach you things you don’t want to know. Ignorance in this case, is bliss. Just accept it.” She said seriously as they crossed the road to the nearest café, Sehun still determined to buy James a bubble tea.

“Got it.” He chuckled as the entered the café.
