After breakfast, Henry left to catch his flight. Though you had both managed to calm Hyunae down and she returned to her smiley self, you couldn't help but to wonder how long she had been thinking these things. A part of you now wished that you had never told her about Jungsu, but she would have found out sooner or later and resented you for keeping it a secret, right? You wanted to be open and honest with your young daughter, but you had never answered her question. The one that still reeled in your mind, swimming through your thoughts and taking you over completely.

A day slipped into a week. A week into a month. Time running by far too quickly on must days, and much too slowly on others.

And though you had been speaking with Henry on a daily basis, it was never the same when he was gone. He could take to Hyunae and you over the phone or even on the computer the few times that you had the opportunity to video chat, but it couldn't fill the emptiness left behind each time he was forced to leave.
 

Then, one day, almost 3 months after Henry had left to go on tour again, you received a call that you had never anticipated.

Henry sat in the kitchen of the small dorm that he shared with Zhou Mi, Donghae, and Eunhyuk, downing a glass of water and finishing his late dinner like a starving man. It had been forever since he'd eaten! Or, at least 4 hours. But, to him, that was an eternity. The youngest member was known to eat quite often and, really, it was a wonder that he was a thin as he was.

Donghae laughed at the boy, eating his own food in much less of a rush than Henry had. "Slow down, you'll give yourself a stomach ache." He warned, kicking the younger under the table gently.

"Don't worry about it, hyung. There's no way that I could give myself a stomach ache!" Henry grinned as he put more food on his plate and ate that just as quickly, practically inhaling it and most likely not even tasting it.

As the meal finished, the maknae found himself in the situation that Donghae had tried to warn him about. He was paying for his stupidity with some of the worst stomach pains that he'd ever experienced, ones that were almost as bad as the last time he had gotten sick.

Not wanting to admit that Donghae was right, Henry decided to make up an excuse for rushing to the bathroom, "I'm going to go take a shower before Zhou Mi does. He always uses up all the hot water!" He stated, jumping up from his seat and running towards the shared bathroom, forgetting his cell phone on the table as he did so.

Donghae, Eunhyuk, and Zhou Mi all laughed in unison once the boy was out of earshot. This wasn't an uncommon situation... and Henry never learned.

"I tried to warn him that would happen."
 

As Donghae and Zhou Mi spoke back and forth, Eunhyuk grabbed Henry's cell phone off the table, planning on playing one of the games on it. It was his favorite, really, but he had yet to buy the app for his own phone, so, instead, when he wanted to, he would just use Henry's phone to play it.

He unlocked the touch screen and was immediately greeted by a picture of a familiar looking woman. One kneeling down with her arms wrapped around a young girl (she couldn't have been older than 4 or 5, he figured), both giving almost identical smiles, the biggest difference being that the child had a dimple.

He stared for a few moments at the picture, knowing that he should recognize this woman, but the short hair was throwing him off.
Who... who could this mystery woman be?

Soft features, raven hair, a delightful eye smile. Could she be Henry's girlfriend? Sister? Cousin? And where's the child's father in this photo? Was Henry the father? He wouldn't have had a kid without telling them, right?
Short black hair. Wide, light brown eyes with what seemed to be the slightest touch of blue.
Where had he seen those eyes before?

That's when he realized it.

If the woman's hair had been longer, he would have known who it was in a heartbeat. But now... right now it was the plump lips that gave this woman away.

"Noona?" He spoke a bit louder than he had meant to, catching the attention of the other two men.

"Hyukjae! You shouldn't be reading Henry's texts!" Donghae scolded, snatching the phone from him.

"I wasn't! Just... look at the picture!"

"What about it?" Donghae asked, Zhou Mi now shifting so that he could see the image as well.
Two sets of eyes landed upon the image and, simultaneously, the two men gave confused looks, Within a few moments, much faster than Eunhyuk, both men's jaws dropped in surprise.

"Heiryung noona?" Again, as though completely in sync, the two spoke, eyes widening in shock at the picture.

"Th-That's..." Donghae stuttered, Zhou Mi still unable to speak at the image so blatantly placed in front of them.

"Yeah. But, who's the little girl?" Eunhyuk asked, now leaning in to look at the phone again, "Do you think that, maybe... I mean, they /were/ engaged..."

"No. No way. I mean, she would have told him, right?" Zhou Mi's voice finally came back into play as he glanced over at the men beside him.

"Well, she does look a lot like Jungsu..." Donghae murmured, leaning back in his chair a bit, but never taking his eyes off the phone, "I wonder if he has her phone number..."

"Should we check?" Eunhyuk asked, Zhou Mi already taking the phone to do just that.

"Of course we should! Henry shouldn't be keeping such important things from us! If this really is Heiryung, then he knows where she is and he should have said something to us!" Zhou Mi opened up the list of contacts, realizing immediately that you were the first one on his list. The men hesitated for a moment before Zhou Mi sighed, "Well, it's now or never." With those last words, he put the phone on speaker and called you.
When there was a small click, announcing that somebody had picked up, they looked at one another, holding their breath and already trying to decide which of them would speak first.

"Henry, didn't you call just over an hour ago~?" You laughed light heartedly, answering the phone with this question so as to tease the boy. After all, the call had come from his cell phone, so you weren't expecting to hear a different voice on the other end.
Henry was typically so careful with his phone.

"Heiryung noona?"

You froze.

That didn't sound like Henry.

That voice sounded like...

"It's me, Donghae."

You knew it. You wanted to hang up, right then, but it was as though you lost all control of your body, and it stayed fixed in this one position. After a few moments of silence as he waited for you to speak, you finally brought a trembling finger to the button that would cut off this call.

"Please don't hang up, noona. We just want to talk to you." Donghae's voice was quiet, somewhat pained, and you couldn't help but to wonder how he knew what you had just been about to do.

"W-We?" You repeated, finally speaking back, "Who else is with you?" You choked out, Hyunae walking in your direction, already bathed and dressed in her favorite overalls and blue t-shirt, prepared for the day to start. After all, considering that it was 9pm in South Korea, it was only 8am in New York and Hyunae was excited to be going to the museum with you.

"Umma... is it appa?" She asked, still somewhat sleepy, tugging on your pant leg gently.

"It's just me, Hyukjae, and Zhou Mi." He answered, the other two finally speaking soft hellos into the phone.

"Where's Henry?"

"He's in the shower. He was in a rush and left his phone in the kitchen. Hyukjae... he was going to play a game and saw your picture... so we found your number and called you."
