The wind ruffled your hair as you sat on the swing set beside Henry. Both of you watched in peace as Hyunae made a mess of herself in the nearby sand box. She was making sandcastles with a young boy that she had befriended at daycare. His name was Ryan, and though he was about a year older than Hyunae, it was obvious that he had a crush on her.

When a small laugh escaped you, Henry turned to give you a questioning look, a playful smile on his lips, "What's so funny?" He asked, lightly tapping his dirty shoe against your bare leg, causing you to laugh again.

"I was just thinking..." You finally responded, your eyes not leaving the two small children now digging a makeshift moat around their crumbling castle, "Jungsu and I used to play in the sand together, too. Of course, my brother would ruin that whenever he could because Jungsu was /his/ friend, and they didn't have time to play with girls." You giggled quietly at the memory, pushing your heels against the ground to push the swing forward a bit.

"Oh..." Henry nodded, not giving any other form of reply, his hands tightening slightly around the chains holding up his swing, "It seems like you two were close..."

"Mhmm... The girls at school never liked me much, so I had to befriend the boys, instead." You stated, continuing the motion of kicking your feet off the ground to make yourself go higher. The breeze felt wonderful.

"Do you think that /we/ could have been friends? I mean, if we had attended the same school and all of that..." Henry muttered his last few words, suddenly embarrassed to ask such a question. But, he couldn't have helped it, curiosity had overrun him just long enough to take hold of his tongue and let the words pour out.

"Well, I'm quite a bit older than you are, Henry." You thought aloud, slowing down to a stop so that you could answer his question without distraction, "So, even if we /had/ gone to the same school... I doubt that we would have noticed each other."

"Eh, yeah... sorry... that was kind of a stupid question." His awkward chuckle made you grin, leaning a bit closer to him.

"But... if we had been in the same grade, you definitely would have been my best friend." You finished, reaching a hand over to lightly poke his cheek, erasing that forlorn look from his face, "Who knows? I might have even ended up with a crush on you."

Suddenly, his cheeks heat up, his face flushing noticeably, but your eyes had already diverted back to the two children, and you missed his moment of embarrassment.

Henry carried Hyunae in his arms, her head resting against his shoulder as she slept in silence.

"She must be played out." You smiled, reaching over to brush a strand of hair out of your daughter's face. She looked so angelic when she slept, and you couldn't help but think that she highly resembled her father.

Suddenly, you felt an icy sensation rush over you, the corners of your lips falling downwards into a more stoic expression. You really had loved Jungsu, more than you would ever have liked to admit. And each time you looked at your daughter, you realized that she more closely resembled him than you. Though she was a beautiful child, you couldn't help but feel a bit saddened whenever that thought crossed your mind.

Henry instantly took in your expression, giving a frown as he looked down at you.

"It still hurts to think about him, doesn't it?" Though he spoke it as a question, you knew that he already knew the answer.

Subtly, you nodded. Henry knew the whole story. About the manager's words, his subtle threats at removing Jungsu from the group. He knew why you'd left and why you'd never returned.

"Hey... let's put Hyunae to bed when we get back. Then you and I can watch a few movies together or something." Henry suggested, walking up the front steps, his eyes still focused on you. He was always trying to make you smile, and any time he thought you were upset, he would do just about anything to make you laugh.

But, to his surprise, you didn't give him a sweet smile like you normally do.

"But, I thought you had to go back to South Korea to meet up with the boys, tonight?" You fumbled with your keys a bit, hands trembling and fingers failing. Though you loved having Henry's company, you knew that it was always to be followed with the heart wrenching feeling of his departure. Already, you could feel the hurt that came with watching him leave, though he had yet to even put Hyunae in bed.

"They'll be alright. I'll leave in the morning." He held Hyunae with one arm, taking the keys from you with his spare hand, and unlocked the door for you with that adorable smile of his.

"Are you sure?" You asked, stepping just over the threshold and into the short hallway. You slipped off your shoes, Henry closing the door then doing the same, before he replied.

"Yeah. I'm sure. If I hadn't been, I wouldn't have said anything." The first thing he did was take Hyunae to her room, placing her gently on her bed and kissing her forehead. After this, he wrapped an arm around your waist and lead you to the couch in the living room.

"They'll be angry with you, thought!" You retorted, worry spreading over your features and into your voice. The last thing you needed was for Henry to get lectured for arriving late.

"We don't have to leave for Taiwan until Saturday. If I'm a little late, it won't be a big deal." He assured you, pulling you down onto the cushion beside him. For a moment, your heart raced, his arm wrapped protectively around you as a blissful silence filled the room. Patiently, he waited to see if you would argue with him again, and when you gave up the fight, he smiled warmly.

"Now... what movie do you want to watch?" He asked, slipping his arm from around you and standing. Without looking back, he walked towards the small bookshelf of dvds beside the television, "What about a horror movie?"

You thought this over for a moment before nodding. It's not like scary movies ever /really/ scared you... and, honestly, you hadn't watched a scary movie in a while, not wanting to give Hyunae nightmares. An
