「 Rinchyeon ♡ Doojoon 」

"Oppa!" Kim Rinchyeon cried, tugging on the sleeve of her boyfriend. "Where are we going?! It's 2-A-Freaking-M in the morning!"

The girl attired in an oversized sweater blearily looked around, sleepy eyes adjusting to the bright street lights casting away the early morning darkness. She rubbed her eyes, finding herself on the sidewalk beside her boyfriend's car.

"C'mon, sleepy head!" Doojoon cheerily sang, unlocking his car and opening the door for his puzzled girlfriend. "It takes four hours to the coastline, and we'll be lucky if we don't hit traffic."

"YAH!" She dropped her duffel bag. The clothes and toiletries stuffed inside made a muffled thunk as it hit the pavement. "YOON DOOJOON-AH! WHERE ARE WE GOIN—"

"You trust me, don't you?" Doojoon pouted, removing his sunglasses.

"Yeah, bu—"

"But what?" The boy sighed exasperatedly, pulling Rinchyeon into a hug. "Don't tell me you're not up for our five-month anniversary road trip."

"Road trip?" Rinchyeon's nose crinkled. "That's not very romantic."

"Uh." Doojoon pursed his lips. "Yeah. But I went through hell and back to get this car off of manager-hyung, so we're going whether you like it or not." He said teasingly, lightly pushing Rinchyeon into the passenger's seat. "Besides," He continued, flinging her bag into the backseat next to his. "This is to compensate for our missed time."

"And we'll be spending it on the highway while you serenade me, right?" Rinchyeon muttered to herself, crossing her arms as her eyes followed B2ST's hooded leader circle the car to the driver's seat. "Four hours." She snorted.

"Babe," He sighed, lightly kissing her. "It's a surprise, so can you just play along? Go take a nap—you're such a grouch when you're lacking sleep." Doojoon teased, pinching Rinchyeon's nose as he pulled unto the main road.

"Only if you sing me something." Rinchyeon glanced at her boyfriend, and she saw the corners of his mouth twitch.

"Okay." Doojoon let out, glancing at Rinchyeon getting comfy in her seat. "What do you wanna hear?"

"Oh," She glanced back, smiling widely as she reached for his free hand. "You know!"

Their fingers intertwined as Doojoon pulled unto the highway. The windows were rolled down, and it was unusually warm. Doojoon's thumb drew invisible circles on the back of Rinchyeon's hand settled on the beverage holders between their seats.

And by the time Doojoon finished the song, Rinchyeon was fast asleep. He gave a little smile, hand tightening around hers.

"Hey," Doojoon poked Rinchyeon's cheek. "Hey, babe. Wake up, you're going to miss it."

"Miss what?" She stirred, eyes still closed, in the passengers seat. Realizing that the car was at a stand-still, and the sounds of waves crashing were too close for comfort, Rinchyeon bolted forward. "Where are we?"

"Can't say I know exactly," Doojoon said, breath smelling slightly of minty gum and coffee. He opened the door and took Rinchyeon by her hand and sat her on the front hood of his manager's car. "Anyway, only a few minutes left."

Rinchyeon curled into a ball, leaning against Doojoon as she squinted off into the horizon. The sky was pink, providing a clashing contrast with the blue ocean underneath it. The water was calm, and it reflected the orange-y tints shining through the white clouds. She looked around from her perch on the car parked in the lot: the beach front was almost deserted save for some early risers lounging along the sand.

"How did you find this place?" She asked, pulling Doojoon's arm around her shoulder.

"We've gotten lost too many times driving around here." He laughed lightly, referring to his B2ST dongsaengs as he pulled up his hood.

"Oh."

And every sound seemed to meld together—the distant cawing of the seagulls, the waves washing against the shore, the wind brushing against bushes—as a pink-ish orb appeared from the horizon. It grew in size, and its color changed to yellow-white-ish, and eventually to the point where the sun's glares made it hard to stare directly at it.

"Happy 5 months." Rinchyeon said quietly, still gazing in awe at the sight before her. "So pretty."

"Yeah," Doojoon tore his eyes from the picture-esque view of the rising sun, and he found himself gazing at his girlfriend. "You are."
