I Know
Still UnglamorousHe knew. It wasn't as if he didn't know. He knew it was never going to be the same again. She's left him for good, yet here he was acting the fool and calling out her name.
It was easier to think that she was doing this for him. That way it didn't hurt as much when he passes her by the corridors of the building where they both worked, where they both trained, where they both first met and broke up. Junsu knows he's pretending, but it didn't matter, he knew it was futile, but it didn't matter either. All that mattered to him was that as long as he could see her, he was going to be okay.
He walked down the JYPE corridors on the way to the studios to work on a new song he was writing, the lyrics repeated themselves in his head, and unconsciously his fingers moved along with the beat. As he turned the corner, he froze as he heard laughter. Light, and radiant laughter, and there he stood rooted on the spot as she walked past him, not even sparing him one glance as she continued to talk and laugh with the rest of her group. He watched her cold back walk away from him, and like a fool he just remained there unable to even say a word.
It had started out like this as well. Her avoiding him, her ignoring his texts and his calls. Always finding an excuse to walk out of their secret dates. At first he thought he was simply her being tired of their schedules, of them having to hide and pretend, but he knew. Junsu knew that it wasn't just that. She was acting distant for a reason, and it was because everything was changing.
