It started as a normal cute childhood friendship. They are who have been friends since they were in diapers. Unknown to their tiny brains, they have fallen for each other since then.

“Minnie-ah.”

“Wae Kyunnie?”

“Promise me, you will always be by my side.”

“Of course I will, Kyunnie is my best friend.”

“Promise?”

“Promise.”

And then, a tragedy occurred. Leaving one of them orphaned. Broken and shattered. While the other, being a great friend he was, picking up her pieces and glued her back into human. He was taking care of her and showering her with his love that he himself didn’t know exist.

“Just cry Kyunnie. Noona said it’s not good to hold back your tears.”

“Minnie… Minnie… Why Umma and Appa leave Hankyungie and me alone? Why? Am I a bad kid?”

“Sssh, Hankyungie-hyung and you are great children. They left because they have to.”

“I’m scared Minnie…”

“Don’t need to be scared. You have me. You have us.”

They grew up into a beautiful lady and a fine man. Growing up and getting through hardship together made them inseparable. Soon, the man noticed that his love for the girl isn’t a love for a family member, it is a love for a lover.

“She is my bestfriend, Nee-chan. I can’t love her.”

“You are in denial, dear brother. You love her and I know deep inside her heart she loves you too.”

The Fate started her game. She toyed with the two by putting a third wheel whom the girl had a crush on. While their friends were trying their best to knock some senses into the boy whose brain was interferenced by denial.

 “I thought you love her,Shim Changmin!”

“I do Minho. I reallydo.”

“Then why are you giving her to my good-for-nothing cousin!?”

“I—as long as she is happy, I’m finewith it.”

“Stop lying to yourself Min! Kyuhyun-noona is not happy without you! And look at yourself! You are a walking dead!”

Drama surely is an epic . As The Fate twisted them, pulled them, and then she tugged them until they were ready to snap. But at least, she was trying to be kind enough to let them snuggle into each other’s embrace. Safe and sound.

 “Minnie-ah… Why are you so warm?”

“Because you are cold Baby-ah.”

But it seems the Fate hasn’t finished with them yet. The boy was in chaos. He hid all from the girl. And one day, he left, without any evidence to be traced.

“WHY DIDN’T YOU NOTICE HER HURTING EXPRESSION SHIM CHOIKANG CHANGMIN! ALL SHE NEEDS IS YOU!”

Despite the space, the time and the season are bend, both shall beckon each other.  No alter, they are what they have. Allied in the strongest bound. The lady will undoubtly stay beside the man. No matter what.

“Don’t cry. The Shim Changmin I know is a strong man.”

“…”

“You can lean on me. Because… eventhough everybody leaves you, I will always stay. By your side.”
