Eunji and Minhyuk peeked into the dark beach house, looking around for nothing in particular.

Minhyuk switched on the light, allowing everything to be visible to them.

It was a nice cosy beach house, perfect for a couple.

Minhyuk pulled Eunji in and closed the door behind. While Eunji looked around in awe, Minhyuk set down her shoes and rubbed his hands together.

"It's cold, isn't it?" Minhyuk walked over to the living room and the fire.

Eunji gently smiled and sat down in front of the fire, trying to warm herself up.

Minhyuk looked around for a blanket and went upstairs.

Eunji curiously watched Minhyuk disappear and continued looking around.

The house was simple yet beautiful. The walls were a light creamy white while the floor was of a dark, rich brown.

Eunji tried warming her hands when her ring caught her attention.

Eunji slowly brought her hand closer towards her and examined the ring carefully.

She felt like she saw it before. But can't remember when.

A sudden flashback crossed her mind.

"I have something to give you."

"Really? What is it? What is it?"

Someone's large hand held up her fragile hand and slipped a ring onto her fourth finger.

"Happy 1 year, eunji. I love you."

Eunji shut her eyes and winced, holding her head in her hands.

Just as she slowly opened her eyes, Minhyuk came back with a rather large blanket.

"Sorry. This is the only one i could find."

Eunji softly smiled and nodded.

Minhyuk glanced down at her. "Are you sleepy?"

"I was.. just resting my head."

Minhyuk smiled and draped the large blanket around her and sat down beside her.

Minhyuk looked out the window and sighed.

"Looks like we have to spent the night here. A storms picking up."

Eunji followed Minhyuk's gaze and looked outside.

All the trees were swaying from the strong wind.

Minhyuk looked back at Eunji and helped wrap the blanket around her.

Eunji looked up at Minhyuk. "Thanks but.. what about you?"

Minhyuk shook his head and smiled. "Don't worry about me." 

Eunji still couldn't help but feel worried since it was getting colder and colder by the minute.

Minutes slowly passed as they just sat there in silence, watching the fire crackle.

"Eunji.. What do you like eating?"

Eunji glanced at Minhyuk and thought for a moment.

"Spaghetti."

Minhyuk smiled to himself as he secretly knew what she already liked and prepared for it.

"Really? What a coincidence! I brought the ingredients to make Spaghetti."

Eunji's eyes grew wide and grinned. Eunji's love for spaghetti was indescribable.

Both Eunji and Minhyuk stood up and walked to the kitchen.

While Eunji washed her hands, Minhyuk took all the ingredients out from the fridge.

Eunji took all the vegetables and washed them while Minhyuk cooked the noodles.

Minhyuk could feel Eunji slowly opening up to him and not feeling worried or uncomfortable anymore.

Minhyuk grinned and stirred the noodles.

Eunji glanced at him and smiled herself. "What are you so happy about?"

Minhyuk caught off guard, coughed a little and went back to stirring. "Nothing, really."

Eunji turned her back to Minhyuk and started chopping up the vegetables.

Minhyuk looked over at Eunji as soon as she turned around and couldn't help but have an urge to back hug her.

Minhyuk was about to walk over when he stopped and reminded himself.

Don't stuff up here, Minhyuk.. You can do this!

Eunji and Minhyuk laughed about nearly everything and talked away, not realising how many hours passed.

After eating dinner, they sat by the fire again, telling each other stories.

Minhyuk knew all the stories Eunji told him. But for the sake of her recovery, he reacted to everything for her.

Minhyuk grabbed the bag of marshmallows from his bag and stuck a few onto a stick and handed it to Eunji.

Eunji laughed and started to cook hers. "I love these!"

Minhyuk smiled. I know..

While Eunji was having fun roasting her marshmallows, Minhyuk carefully watched her and slightly chuckled.

After eating a few, Eunji's hands got sticky and stood up to go wash them.

Eunji closed the door behind her as soon as she walked in the bathroom and the tap.

Eunji noticed a small vase of red rose by the sink. Smiling to herself, Eunji picked it up and examined it, knowing it was her favorite flower.

As she continued looking at it, her eyes grew wide open and dropped the vase.

Millions of faded flashbacks raced through her head.

Flashbacks of roses all around her hospital room filled her mind. Minhyuk buying a rose, each day before her surgery.

It all stopped right where Eunji could feel herself breathing through the oxygen mask and was being taken into the surgery room.

She could faintly hear screaming and crying.

Eunji gently lifted her head and could see nurses and doctors pulling Minhyuk away from her.

He was yelling and crying, reaching out to her.

Tears began to fall from Eunji's eyes as she slowly lifted her hand to Minhyuk.

"YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER ME OKAY?! EUNJI! CAN YOU HEAR ME?! DON'T FORGET ME." Minhyuk yelled out.

Minhyuk slowly stopped trying to push pass everyone and screamed in fustration.

Eunji laid back down and slowly closed her eyes, knowing she will never remember him again.

Eunji breathed out her last words to him, "Don't let me forget.."

Eunji collapsed onto the floor and grabbed onto her head, trying to ease the pain.

She could remember everything. She knew remembered every detail.

How her parents wouldn't allow Minhyuk to walk into the hospital room after her successful surgery.

How Sungjae always stuck by her side and helped her recover quickly.

How Gaeun did anything she could in order to help Eunji.

Eunji felt tears falling down her face. She quickly turned the tap on to the strongest so Minhyuk wouldn't hear her sobbing and crying.

Outside, Minhyuk was wondering what was taking Eunji so long and decided to quickly prepare his last surprise.

Minhyuk ran upstairs and walked into the spare room.

Everything was perfect. Minhyuk checked one last time and went back downstairs.

Eunji was already sitting by the fire again eating the last few marshmallows.

Eunji glanced up at Minhyuk and smiled. "Where'd you go?"

Minhyuk slowly sat down and joined Eunji. "Just, upstairs."

Minhyuk decided not to ask what took Eunji so long but noticed her eyes and the tip of her nose was a little red.

"Eunji.. Did you.. Did you cry?"

Eunji eyes grew wide and quickly coughed to cover her surprised look.

"Oh no! I had a.. a.. a little alergic reaction in the bathroom." Eunji forced a laugh and continued eating.

"Alergic reaction?! To what? You okay?" Minhyuk grabbed onto the arm, without noticing.

Eunji smiled and nodded. "I'm fine now. It's okay."

Minhyuk sighed in relief and slipped his hands down.

"I have, something to show you."

Eunji looked over at Minhyuk as he stood up and took her hand.

Both Eunji and Minhyuk slowly walked upstairs. Minhyuk led her to the spare room, that he was in earlier.

Before he opened the door, Minhyuk turned Eunji around and lightly tied a blindfold around her eyes.

Eunji laughed and continued asking what he was doing.

Minhyuk grinned and led her into the room and closed the door behind.

Eunji waited paitently while Minhyuk slowly untied the blindfold and pulled it away.

Eunji opened her eyes and gasped.

There were balloons everywhere. Up on the ceiling. Down on the floor. Just everywhere.
