Chapter 17: Life saver
Ms Author- Idol“W…w…whaattttt are you saying?” I couldn’t help but stuttered.
“Wae? Are you really hiding something?” JaeJoong shifted closer and closer, leaving only an inch of space between us.
“No.” I barely whispered. Lying is one thing, but such a hot guy inching so close to me was a burden.
“Something’s fishy…” JaeJoong smirked, enjoying my panic mode.
“I have to go.” I suddenly stood up, turning away from him.
“Wait,” JaeJoong grabbed my wrist. I jumped a little.
“Wae?” I looked at him.
“Good luck later,” He ruffled my hair, messing it up. JaeJoong gave a last smile and left the room.
I stood there, stunned. What did he just do? He ruffled my hair. Right, that’s what he did. My face suddenly heated up, as I recalled the scene in my head. I used my hands to cool it down.
“Kyung Me, are you ready?” Manager oppa came in to find me. “Kyung Me?”
“Ah?” I realized Manager oppa came in. “Ah, neh.”
“Kyung Me, focus just for this once, please,” Manager oppa gripped my shoulder tightly, gaining my attention.
“Neh, mianhae,” I apologized. That’s right, I had to buck up. I couldn’t screw up this performance. Not today, not on such important event.
“Let’s go,” Manager patted my shoulder in encouragement. I nodded.
FIGHTING!
“Thank you for the hard work!” I greeted to the staff. I pulled off the performance perfectly to my relief. To which, I could thankfully enjoy till the ending of the show. However, JaeJoong had once again to prove himself as the most irritating person by annoying me with small actions on stage. I ignored him, dancing to the last of the show.
“Let’s go for celebration!” Woohyun suggested as we retreated to back stage.
“Party!” Dongwoo yelled out.
“Let’s go together, Kyung Me,” Hoya invited me.
“It’s okay. I have an appointment,” I declined nicely.
“Oh, why? Where are you going?” Seong Gyu asked.
“Emmmmm….” I couldn’t say it out!
“Hyung! Didn’t you say we might have to go back to practice?” Hoya quickly covered up for me.
“Oh, right.” Seong Gyu frowned.“Ah well, we shall go next time. Join us, alright?”
“Neh!” I nodded.
I turned to Hoya, mouthed him a thanks. What a life saver.
“See you!” the band bidded their goodbye.
I entered my waiting room, ready to pack, ready to change my appearance. In a cap and plain clothes, I set off to my next destination alone.
