The Nature of Light
A Series of LettersWe guess one another in the dark;
You see the blackness of a trailing cloak
I see the whiteness of a summer robe
I was dark and you were bright
I saw you radient in the night
I am but a shadow in your beam
I feel your warmth within my being
You feel the linger of cool doubt
I am but a glass, you magnify
I hear the waves of the ocean
You hear the tide drawing ever away
I am but a feather, you blow me away
I taste mint
You taste coolness on the tip of your tongue
I am but a seed, you are a flower
I smell your rose
You smell the frost on a bleak winter morning
I was dark and you were bright
I saw you radient in the night
When I face you and you face me
I know you fail to see what I see
