I based the title on Taemin's and Minho's Zodiac elements because a). I'm a er for zodiac signs (Even remembering people better by their birthdates than their names XD) and b) I just couldn't think of anything else! \m/ >:3

*Luna’s POV*

“Kamsahamnida” I said to a fellow student as she signed her name on our registration paper labeled “Choir”. I looked pitifully at the paper next to it. Only two people had their names signed for “Solo”. It requires an on-the-spot audition and only a few have tried out so far. It’s only the first day of club signing, I thought to myself. I bet there’ll be more tomorrow. We only need five people for our planned solo acts after all.

As I was reading the list, another student stepped in front of my desk. “I’d like to join for Solo, please.” He said as he leaned on the table.

“Your name?” I asked as I clicked my retractable pen.

“Kim Jonghyun.” I stopped in my tracks and looked up.

“W-what genre?” I stammered.

“Pop rock, ballad, anything.” he said confidently.

“You have to earn the spot.” I said as I cleared my throat. With a raised eyebrow, he looked at me. “It’s the rule.” I explained. With that said, he stood straight and started singing.

One by one, my assistants started clapping their hands. “Ottaeyoh? Did I get the part?” he said with a smile. And I just stared, speechless. “Meh. Silence means yes.” He shrugged. He took my pen from my hand and wrote his name down the registration form. I felt a sudden wave of electricity pass from my fingertips to my cheeks.

He touched me.

“Thanks.” He said coolly and walked away.

“P-practice starts on Friday afternoon!” I shouted nervously. He waved as he continued walking.

This… could be another chance for me, right? I thought.

This must be destiny’s call! It has to be.

*Taemin’s POV*

I sat next to her as she finished her drink. I saw her finally smile a little, and it made me feel relieved. I guess not so much has changed after all.

“Feel better?” I asked.

“Mm.” She nodded. “Can I ask you something?”

“Anything.” I said sitting straight, alert as ever. I still couldn’t believe I was talking to her after so long. Questions are good. They make conversations longer.

“What were you doing here? Shouldn’t you be at the quad?”

“My assistants are there. Heh, sounds weird calling them that.” I answered, scratching my head. “I always come here around this time.”

“With this?” She asked suspiciously as she raised the small empty bottle.

“Mhm.” I nodded. “I always have that.”

“Oh” she said looking down, almost embarrassed. Maybe she thought I bought it purposely for her. In truth, I would have bought a dozen if I had known she needed it.

Then there was a brief moment of silence. It was so overwhelming, I think my head was gonna explode.

What are you doing, you idiot? Talk to her! My mind nagged.

Are you crazy? She thinks I’m a loser! I argued back

She hasn’t talked to me since the fifth grade.
