i leave for like a few months and now i don't know how to work this site layout damn

open photoshop, make a new file at 100x100.

set guides so you can see the middle of your document. if you don't know how to do this you pretty much just click the ruler and drag to the middle until photoshop does the snap thingy.

create any design you want, making sure that the part you want to repeat is in the dead center of the canvas, and everything is on ONE layer. this also works when you have a photo that isn't looping, so have fun. party.

now that you have quite possibly the creepiest pattern ever, hit filter>other>offset and make everything +50.

hit OK, save that as a png and then put it anywhere that let's you tile the background. creepy, right? i mean you could've just saved the image as is and used that but this method works for designs that aren't smoothly set and all that jazz.

if you dig that pattern i made in 5 seconds, here. anyway you can do this with any dimensions as long as your canvas is square and you do HALF of the canvas size when you do the whole offset thing.

so update on where i've been for the past million years:

i'm pretty sure you all know my interest in kpop has been nosediving quickly for the past few months (since my life has changed into basically 80s music, cosplay, and anime) so i don't really find an overwhelming need/want to return to this site and read about my bands and stuff

even though i don't dig kpop dudes and gals all that much anymore i mean i'll still pop in to teach you all some tips and tricks every now and then cause photoshop is my best friend and i'd love for everyone else to fall in love with photoshop so i promise i'll pop in and throw a tutorial for a poster or a typography tutorial since all of this is pretty much my forte (i actually got a 875/1000 on the practice test for the photoshop certification so i suppose that shows my passion to an extent) yeah so i've been doing my AP homework diligently and continuing to work for my dumb school yearbook (work as in create 200+ ads for companies that aren't interested) and yeah all of that stuff 

if any of you guys want to know how to recreate a certain design or how to make halftones or something in photoshop feel free to comment and i'll stop by with a tutorial whenever i'm free i promise that

the only thing i most likely won't continue (in case any of you were interested in my writing???) is writing fanfiction or w/e about these lovely kpop stars cause it's kinda hard to write when you're not interested that much
