Be Mine - Part One
Love Is [Apply for One Shot Love Stories] - ON HIATUSBooJen , this is for you. I'm so so sorry. This is completely over-dued isn't it? :/ I hope you like this first part :)
“Look at that.”
“Look at what?”
You turned your head exasperatedly at your class-mate and let out a frustrated sigh.
“That!” you pointed at a couple hugging and giggling in front of one particular locker. “This is a school. Couldn’t they wait and do it somewhere else?”
Doo Joon let out an amused chuckle.
“That’s called PDA. Public-Display-Affection,” he said knowingly.
“I know what it stands for,” you rolled your eyes as you slammed your own locker shut, causing the previous couple to jump back startled. “You don’t have to treat me like a small kid.”
“And I don’t see anything wrong in them doing that,” he added in while popping a gum into his mouth.
“Well, of course you won’t Yoon Doo Joon,” you shot back. “You’re used to doing it everywhere, don’t you?”
“Yah!” his eyes widened in shock at your sudden outburst. “What does this have to do with me all of a sudden?”
“Just finding someone to blame,” you said casually as you pulled down your cap. “See you around.”
Without waiting for an answer, you picked up your bag and made your way out of the school hallway. You could hear Doo Joon’s frantic calls, asking you to wait for him but you pretended not to hear him.
You simply couldn’t be bothered to argue with him any longer over something unnecessary. And you really couldn’t stand being around those lovey-dovey couples anymore. It irked every last bit of you.
But perhaps, it was also because your time of the month had come and every little thing just pisses you off.
“Ugh,” you grunted as realisation hits you.
It to be part of the female gender at times.
“I don’t get her man! One minute she’s okay and the next second she’s practically breathing down my neck!”
Instead of offering condolences, Kevin burst out laughing.
“Doo Joon-ah, it’s not like you have just known her. You guys have been friends since freshman year! Jenny’s been like that ever since.”
“She scares me too,” Doo Joon shuddered uneasily. “But you know, that’s part of her charm.”
“I’m not going to comment anything on that,” Kevin held up his hands. “You know her better than me. All I can see is that she’s someone not to be messed with.”
“Yah, can you help me?”
Kevin shot his friend a curious look.
“Ask your girl, if there’s a chance that Jenny would be interested in me.”
“Cyndi?” Kevin scoffed. “She’s not going to do this man. You know how much she dislikes you.”
“Why?” Doo Joon wailed. “I haven’t wronged her in any way.”
“Well yes, not to her directly. But you have a reputation in this school remember? You date a girl for a month then dumped her for someone else. Do you think Cyndi’s going to let someone like you date her best friend?”
“She can’t judge me just based on that!” Doo Joon protested. “And you know I’ve liked Jenny ever since I’ve known her.”
“Why didn’t you ask her out back then? Why did you mess around with other girls?”
“Look. Every guy does go through that particular phase.”
“Not me,” Kevin shook his head. “I’m loyal.”
Doo Joon rolled his eyes at his innocent mate.
“Fine. With the exception of you. But I’m telling you, I’m being serious here. I really do like Jenny. So can you please help me?” he pleaded.
Kevin looked at his friend thoughtfully. Despite everything else, he knows that Doo Joon is a man of his words and that he meant every word that he says.
“I’ll see what I can do.”
