“I seriously have no idea how you managed to convince to go on a hiking trip with you!” you gritted your teeth.

“Wae?” Jun Hyung asked innocently. “I don’t see any wrong in it.”

“When you said you were going to bring me out again today, I thought you would bring me to somewhere interesting,” you rolled your eyes.

“This is interesting. What? Were you expecting me to bring you to a spa place so you could just relax and basically continue your everyday routine?”

“At least that’s better than getting mosquito bites every few minutes,” you muttered as you slapped your leg hard.

“Yah Lulu, stop complaining and just try to enjoy the fresh air okay?”

“So much for fresh air,” you snorted. “It’s practically the same air I breathe every day. I don’t feel any different.”

“One more complain and I’m going to just leave you here behind,” he warned you.

“So what? I can just turn around and leave now,” you shot back.

Jun Hyung suddenly stopped dead in his tracks and you knocked into him as a result.

“Yah! What’s wrong with you?”

“You can leave now you know.”

“Seriously?” your eyes lit up. “You’re not going to stop me?”

“Sure. I hear there are a lot of wild animal wandering around at this time of the day. On your way back when you meet them, tell them I said hi okay?”

“Are you serious?” you whispered in fear as your eyes wandered around the deep forest. You started to shiver because of the sudden coldness.

“Try it,” he gave you one of his many famous smirks before continuing his walk and leaving you behind.

“Yah Jun Hyung! Where are you going? Wait for me!” you shrieked as you hurried after him.

A few hours later;

“I’m pretty sure this is the right way back,” he murmured to himself.

“Jun Hyung, where are we right now?”

“Somewhere in the middle of the forest,” he replied nonchalantly.

“Yeah, that isn’t obvious right?” you said dryly. “But how are we going to get out from here? It’s close to night time.”

“I’m still trying to figure out the way.”

“What?” you exclaimed. “Are you kidding me? I thought you knew!”

“Shh!” he hissed. “Can you please quiet down while I’m trying to think?”

“You’d better think quickly! I don’t want to spend the night here with you.”

“Yah, what’s so wrong about spending the night here with me?” he shot you a death glare.

Suddenly, you heard a low growl coming from the opposite direction. On an impulse, you threw your arms around Jun Hyung and cling on to him for dear life.

“What’s wrong with you?” he asked crossly.

“Didn’t you hear that?” you asked softly. “Jun Hyung, faster. I’m scared.”

He strained his neck to understand what you’re talking about.

“Aish. I can’t hear anything. You must be imagining things.”

You know you don’t have any problem with your hearing when you heard it for the second time. You immediately tightened your grip around him.

“Yah,” he called over his shoulder. “If you keep on doing this, I can’t breathe for any longer.”

His tone was annoyed but you could see a small smirk playing on his lips. He sure was enjoying this moment.

You pulled away from him slowly.

“We have to wait until tomorrow. I can’t find the way back in the dark. Let’s camp out here tonight,” he suggested.

“Camp?”

“You can go ahead and sleep. I’ll stay up and keep a look-out.”

You rested your chin on your knees as you scooted closer to Jun Hyung. You reached over and tapped him lightly on the shoulder.

“Jun Hyung-ah, you’re tired aren’t you?”

“At least I’m braver than you are.”

You pouted your lips hard at his remark. But you know he was telling the truth.

“Who knew I would end up going on my first camping trip with you?” you sighed tiredly.

“Is that really a bad thing?” he glanced at you from the corner of his eye.

Your face broke into a huge smile.

“Anyo. I’m glad it’s you. And Jun Hyung-ah, thank you.”

“Wae? For what?” he asked back, his eyes never leaving the flickering fire which he had set up by himself.

“For today. For yesterday. For opening up my eyes to different exciting things. It’s such a change from my usual boring life,” you admit.

“I told you so,” he scoffed. “And I’m glad you had fun. I just wanted you to experience new things.”

“Nay. I’ve got it now. Jun Hyung-ah...”

“What is it now?” he turned to face you finally and for the first time, you were seeing a whole new side to him. His tired and weary face still looks handsome in the night light. There was no hint of irritation his eyes, just sincerity.

He really wanted to do this for you; he really wanted to make a change in your life.

Without thinking about it any further, you leaned in close and placed a soft kiss on his right cheek. As you close your eyes, you know you would rather be here tonight with Jun Hyung than anywhere else.
